Welcome to one of my favorite issues of the year: our annual Summer Issue! Inside you’ll find the winners of our 10th annual Pet Photo Contest. You voted by the thousands, and these cuties claimed the top 10 spots. Those who know me know I love my pets, and animals in general, so it’s always a feel-good feature I enjoy sharing with our readers. Just flip to page 22.

Also inside beginning on page 55, we celebrate the ultimate summer sweet treat: ice cream! We’ve rounded up spots all across Berks to share what makes their business and ice cream and other frozen offerings unique.
