Crook’s Palace: Rich past history, tasty future ahead

March’s full moon was setting over Idaho Springs on March 18 at about 6:45 a.m. The March full moon is known as the worm moon, which is often thought to describe the earthworms that appear as the soil warms in the spring and invites birds to feed.

Hollister and Alvin arsh for $1 50. arl in 1 6 Hollister and arsh leased the o lin saloon to Thomas . Spring Break All Day Youth Camp | 3/21 – 3/25 $35/day/child for residents, $45/day/child for nonresidents Saturday Morning Clay with Steve | 4/2 – 5/21 | 9:30 a.m. – 12 noon For our Spring eight-week session, we will work with Altered Pots. Starting with wheel-thrown pieces, we will make round pots into square or oval pots, maybe also creating feet and handles. Slice away or add parts. Maybe push a pitcher past its function, maybe not. A round dog’s dish can become a footed, serpentine flower container.

Pottery with Rebecca | 4/2 – 5/16 | 5:15 - 7:45 p.m.

Class will focus on basic pottery forms and methods; beginners are welcome! We’ll cover both wheelthrown and hand-building techniques, glazing and an intro to other methods of decorating pots.
