College Signing Day is a celebration recognizing our scholars’ achievements as they proudly reveal the college or university they will attend this fall. Additionally, this event marks an important accomplishment for IDEA students, many of whom will be the first in their families to attend college. These students have beaten many odds, and their decision to attend and finish college marks a significant change in the trajectory of their lives.

From tearful speeches to the roar of the crowd, no event represents every family’s hopes and dreams more than College Signing Day. Though each senior is embarking on their own journey to and through college, the lessons and memories they have gained during their time with IDEA will remain with them for a lifetime.

PROGRAM

LETTER

FROM THE

SUPERINTENDENT

Team & Family,

Welcome to my favorite IDEA event of the year—College Signing Day (CSD)!

College Signing Day is an IDEA tradition unlike any other. It began as IDEA’s promise to parents: “Your child will go to college.” Across the Rio Grande Valley, San Antonio, the Austin metro area, El Paso and Baton Rouge, CSD is an opportunity for our seniors to announce a meaningful commitment and for our schools and communities to celebrate everything that led up to this joyful and pivotal moment.

So, if you want to feel inspired, you’re in the right place.

If you want to feel hopeful about the future of our community, our country, and our world, stick around.

If you came to cheer on your own student today, don’t be surprised if you’re screaming for one you have never met.

Across IDEA’s schools, the 3,190 members of the Class of 2025 have achieved over 15,976 acceptances to colleges and universities across the country. Today we learn where everyone is headed.

While this moment is a culmination of sorts, it also represents a new start for the students who have worked so hard to get here. So many opportunities, adventures, experiences, and challenges lie ahead.

For now, this is a day for celebration. For every senior who declares their college choice on this stage, let’s also celebrate and be grateful for the teachers, counselors, principals, parents, siblings, grandparents, mentors, employers, neighbors, friends, and everyone else who has supported these students.

Class of 2025: Congratulations! You’re going to college.

Equipo y Familia,

Clase 2025: ¡Felicidades! Vas a ir a la universidad.

CONGRATULATIONS IDEA RIVERVIEW!

Dear Class of 2025,

As you prepare to take your next big leap, I want to take a moment to reflect on the incredible journey you’ve embarked on as Unstoppable Rockets at IDEA Riverview College Prep. You have not only created lasting traditions but have also paved the way for future generations of students who will follow in your footsteps. Your willingness to seize opportunities, whether in Athletics, Dance, AP courses, or Dual Enrollment classes has been nothing short of inspiring. Completing your coursework with determination is no small feat, and I commend each and every one of you for your achievements.

When I think of the Class of 2025, the words that come to mind are determination, kindness, and unity. Throughout your time at IDEA Riverview, you have faced language, academic, and emotional challenges, yet you stood firm in your resolve. You have shown that with preparation, perseverance, and mutual support, absolutely nothing can hinder your pursuit of greatness. Even during the toughest of times, you leaned on each other, sought guidance from the adults in your lives, and advocated for yourselves with respect and courage. These invaluable lessons will serve you as you transition into college life and beyond.

I want to take a moment to acknowledge how proud everyone at IDEA Riverview is of you. You have excelled academically and in extracurricular activities, but more importantly, you have brought joy, care, and kindness to everyone around you. Your laughter and spirit will be deeply missed in our halls.

Remember, your IDEA Riverview family will always be here to support and uplift you. As you embark on this new chapter, we eagerly await the exciting updates that you will surely share with us. I hope you will keep me in the loop about your college graduation; I can’t wait to celebrate your accomplishments and brag about you to everyone I know!

As you leave the familiar space of Riverview, carry with you the knowledge and skills that you have gained. You are ready to face the challenges ahead with confidence and grace.

Always remember, YOU are a Rocket, and you are Unstoppable!

With pride and best wishes,

Adriana

CONGRATULATIONS IDEA SPORTS PARK!

Dear Class of 2025,

As your Principal, I want to take this moment to express my pride and admiration for each of you. Although I haven’t had the privilege of walking alongside you throughout your entire journey, I have witnessed the incredible dedication, resilience, and drive that define this remarkable class. Your hard work, commitment, and readiness for college have been evident in the stories I’ve heard and the achievements I’ve seen.

You have persevered through challenges, supported one another, and demonstrated that you are prepared to succeed in the next chapter of your lives. Whether in the classroom, on the field, or through your involvement in clubs and organizations, you have shown what it means to be a Stingray. Your dedication has set a strong foundation for your future success.

As you embark on this next journey, remember to Act with Integrity. The decisions you make and the character you show will shape your future. Stay true to your values, lead with honesty, and hold yourself accountable to the goals you have set.

You have also demonstrated what it means to Build Team and Family. The bonds you’ve created with your peers, teachers, and community have made you stronger. Continue to lift one another up, seek collaboration, and embrace the connections you make as you enter new spaces.

Finally, never forget the importance of Delivering Results. Your hard work and dedication have brought you to this moment. Keep setting ambitious goals, pursuing excellence, and putting in the effort required to achieve your dreams. Success is not an accident—it is the result of your determination and focus.

I am confident that you will make a lasting impact on your colleges, communities, and the world. Carry the Stingray pride wherever you go, and never forget that you have the strength, skills, and determination to achieve greatness. Congratulations, Class of 2025!
