The Ideal Foundation is looking forward continuing paving the way for a brighter future for all New Zealanders in 2025.

THANK YOU FOR 2024 / 2025

As we close the chapter on 2024, it’s time to reflect on a year filled with partnerships, community engagement, and remarkable achievements. The Ideal Foundation has continued to grow and evolve, driven by our mission to support sustainable solutions and empower communities across New Zealand. Our commitment to supporting registered charities remained strong in 2024. Through active donations and collaborative projects, we have helped numerous organizations deliver vital services to those in need. As advocates for the environment, we have also prioritized initiatives that protect and restore our natural landscapes. Our efforts in conservation and sustainability have included partnerships with local environmental groups such as Sustainable Coastlines, focusing on habitat restoration and biodiversity preservation. Together, we have worked to ensure that New Zealand’s unique ecosystems are safeguarded for future generations.

We are immensely grateful for the support of our Champion, Advocate and Supporter sponsors. Thank you for allowing us to expand our reach and deepen our impact on New Zealand communities.

The Ideal Foundation remains committed to our mission, and we are excited to build on the momentum we have created last year. With the continued support of our sponsors, partners, and community members, we are ready to tackle new challenges and seize opportunities that lie ahead.

Thank you to everyone who has been a part of our journey this year. Together, we are making strides toward a more sustainable and equitable future for all Kiwi. Here’s to another year of giving back to New Zealand communities!

KING DOWNLIGHT

I Am Hope are on a mission to change the perception of counselling and moving it from ‘crisis intervention’ to ‘just a conversation’. We’re hoping young people will feel more comfortable talking about little problems, before they become big problems that lead to overwhelming thoughts.

The Ideal Foundation, supported by Philips Lighting a brand of Signify, is helping to shine a light on I Am Hope’s support of kiwi kids. Proceeds from this fitting go to the Ideal Foundation, which supports Mike King charity’s vision of positive societal attitudinal change around mental health.

POINT ENGLAND RESERVE CLEAN UP DAY

Ideal Foundation is proud to be a Silver Sponsor of Sustainable Coastlines, supporting their vital mission to protect marine environments, reduce plastic pollution, and empower communities to preserve the beauty of Aotearoa’s coastlines and wildlife. Last November, Ideal Electrical took to Point England Reserve in Auckland to assist Sustainable Coastlines in cleaning up the coastline. In total, we collected 460L Litres / 130kg of litter across 2.1km of coastline!

FIRE BRIGADE

The Horowhenua Volunteer Fire Brigade is a specialist wildfire brigade, based out of the Levin Fire Station. As a rural brigade, most of the fires the brigade tends to are on farmland. While working a fire on a farm, the crew often find themselves significantly delayed in accessing the fire due to an energised electric fence. If the farmer is present, having them turn off their electric fences is a high priority, and they simply cut the fencing wire as needed. However, if the farmer is not readily available (as they are often moving stock out of the way of the fire etc), the crew doesn’t have any insulated equipment to cut the “live” wire. The Ideal Electrical donated a set of Milwaukee Fibreglass Non-Conductive Bolt Cutters, these will be put to very good and frequent use and with summer and the fire season fast approaching.

KINDNESS COLLECTIVE

Founded in 2013, the Kindness Collective began as a behind-the-scenes community group with friends and family on a mission to make Aotearoa a kinder place for all. Through nationwide programmes, the charity provides essentials, moments of joy, care and connection to thousands of Kiwi families living in hardship every year. Kindness Collective received a donation of $1,000 from the Ideal Foundation to provide food parcels and gifts for disadvantaged families at Christmas. The funds donated were greatly received to fill the fridge for 20 families over the holidays.

PET REFUGE

Ideal Foundation is a proud supporter of Pet Refuge, a charity that helps pets and families escape family violence, together. Ideal Foundation donated $2,000 recently to help fund the crucial care Pet Refuge provides. This donation will help to provide 80 nights of safety to pets in need and will help to cover the costs for training and enrichment to pets like Biscuit, who need a little extra love and care to heal from trauma.

From Pet Refuge: “Biscuit arrived at the Pet Refuge shelter with some behavioral challenges from the abuse he had experienced. By the end of his stay with us, he was a completely different dog, more self-assured, confident, and ready for his new, safe life with his loving family. Biscuit has come back from his stay with Pet Refuge so much better than before he went there. Not only did it give him peace, and a break from the chaos of what life used to be for us, but the amount of care and training the team has put into Biscuit is phenomenal. He is a lot calmer, listens better, is attentive to us and overall, his behavior has been amazing ever since he was returned to us. We were so very very excited for the day Biscuit was due to come home to us. The moment I first saw Biscuit again he was wagging his tail and smothering me with kisses, I was flooded with emotions to finally have him back. It finally felt like my home was complete again. We are looking forward to the coming times as we settle in more to our new home as a now full family and getting into the swing of a new routine. We are definitely on a new path and looking to the future with hope.”
