Introduction

Our methodology is rooted in creating high-performing spaces that balance aesthetics, function, and budget. Project Horizon presents an incredible opportunity to build a dynamic, high-energy, and high-impact future state headquarters space for Sensata Technologies. We recognize the significance of this project to Sensata and its business operations and have responded with a thoughtful and pragmatic approach to this transformative initiative.

Our proposed design team brings unique expertise in both creative, tailored workplace solutions and visionary performance-based life science environments. We pride ourselves on being good listeners, creative problem solvers, crystal clear communicators, bold leaders, ruthless executors and insightful partners. Challenge us to spark our brilliance.

Our methodology is rooted in creating high-performing spaces that balance aesthetics, function, and budget. We are excited to collaborate and craft a headquarters that uniquely serves Sensata’s needs today and proactively fits your vision for the future. Included in this initial package, we have developed a series of compelling façade thought starters and a comprehensive space plan that prioritizes employee experience.

We look forward to the opportunity to collaborate with your team to craft a working environment that’s as inspiring as it is effective – a place where your people can thrive, connect, and do their best work.

Built in Island’s Calverton, NY factory and delivered weathertight. Less scaffold, faster close-up, less disruption on site.

At 660 Fifth Avenue, Island re-clad a midcentury tower with 1,600 unitized megapanels anchored to the existing steel.

Design-assist, engineering, fabrication and installation under one roof, with single-source responsibility for the facade.

Program •

Opportunities for further strategy engagement. In order to protect Sensata’s investment in the future headquarters, we recommend further strategy engagements such as visioning sessions and stakeholder interviews.

•

•

Review utilization of large format meeting spaces and boardrooms for space efficiency. Validate number of required offices and workstations. Confirm leadership and organizational support of moving towards benching-style workstations. Evaluate redundancy in touchdown and alternate workpoints.

We aim to ensure that we are positioning Sensata’s workplace for a functionally seamless future aligned with your vision.

• • • •

Evaluate “flex lab” program for future-proofing. Define requirement of buffer and flex space within lab program. Review material flow and adjacencies between labs. Investigate prototyping and demo space opportunities.

High performing spaces are informed by data. This includes insights from within your company and from key industry trends and external research. At Unispace, we’ll use multiple human-centric data references across physical and behavioural datapoints to develop a strategy that can transform the way you work, so that you can positively impact your business.

A great design works hard for you, unlocking people’s potential for creativity, productivity, and creating a sense of belonging. Our insight-driven approach to design allows us to curate an experience that gives everyone what they need to do their best work, as well as create an inspiring environment that helps engage and retain top talent.

Unispace provides clients with a more holistically constructed project. From pre-construction to project completion, we handle the construction details — including procurement, subcontracts, permits, and site safety — so you don’t risk cost overruns, delays, or value engineering.
