Jenne Leroy, from Boise, became the first O’ Christmas Spree winner when she won a $5,000 shopping spree at Fred Meyer. Just in time for the holiday season, Jenne participated in the LIVE Facebook event held at the Fred Meyer on Fairview and Locust Grove in Meridian. Joined by a crowd of about 35 shoppers, onlookers, family, and well-wishers, Jenne selected the winning box that held the $5,000 prize. The LIVE game plays like the classic TV show, “Deal or No Deal” with the host asking the contestant to select one of five holiday-decorated boxes as their “To Me” gift box. Under each of the five gift boxes is a prize of $1,000, $2,000, $3,000, $4,000, or $5,000. Once the “To Me” gift box is selected, Jenne then removed each remaining box until there were just two boxes left. After each box is removed, the prize underneath the box is revealed. The final decision came down to keeping her original box or switching to the single remaining box. “I had a good feeling about the original box I chose,” said Jenne afterward. As the tension mounted, the two remaining prizes were either $1,000 or the top prize of $5,000. Jenne never hesitated or waivered to keep the original box. It was a good choice. When her “To Me” box was removed, the prize that was revealed was $5,000! The crowd erupted in celebration! Jenne was very relieved. Immediately after the event, Jenne shopped in Fred Meyer, but didn’t spend all $5,000, choosing to save most of her prize for the upcoming holiday season. She does plan to purchase some air pods for one of her children and then send one of the ten $500 gift cards to her daughter who lives out of state.
The gift cards are good at any Kroger-owned family of stores in Idaho or throughout the United States said Peggy Epler, who is based in Cincinnati, Ohio but attended the event in mid-November. Kroger and Fred Meyer are the shopping partners for the game. O’ Christmas Spree carries a top prize on the game of $50,000 however the $5,000 shopping spree is a very popular feature. There are three shopping spree events remaining in the game that could be won just in time for holiday shopping.

Players enter the 2nd chance code on the front of their 2023 holiday-themed Scratch tickets for a chance to win one of five, $1,000 cash prizes.
