It’s the best odds of winning a million dollars in Idaho!
NEW $50,000 & $100,000 PRIZES!
As one of the most popular games of the year, the Idaho $1,000,000 Raffle will make its return in all its orange glory on Tuesday, October 21, 2025, at 4 am Mountain Time. Last year’s favorite Holiday game sold out in early December. This year, the Lottery will return a game with a total of 500,000 tickets at $10 each and more prizes than ever. But remember, when tickets are gone, they’re gone. This game consistently sells out before Christmas.
To get you and your players ready for this year’s Raffle, here’s everything you need to know:
EARLY-BIRD PROMO DETAILS:
The Lottery is giving players a chance to win early and often by giving away fifteen
$1,000 prizes for ticket purchases made in the first fifteen days of the Raffle! Each day, every day, the Idaho Lottery will randomly select one ticket number purchased from the previous day to win the daily $1,000 prize. Players need only purchase a ticket each day to be qualified for the next day’s draw. Winning numbers from the daily draw will be shown on the Lottery’s video monitors at retail stores, announced on the Lottery’s web page, and also announced on the Lottery’s social media channels –Facebook and Instagram.
Players who win one of the first fifteen days’ $1,000 prizes must claim their prize at the Idaho Lottery offices in Boise. Their ticket will remain eligible to win additional prizes in the Raffle drawing, including both $1,000,000 top prizes.
WIN $1,000 WITH EVERY 25000TH TICKET SOLD:
Just like the past few years, eighteen lucky players are going to win $1,000 instantly when they purchase a 25000th ticket. Here’s how it works:
• The player who buys ticket 025000 will receive a serial-numbered voucher stating they’ve won a $1,000 prize!
• Every subsequent 25000th ticket sold will also generate a winning experience. So, tickets 050000, 075000, 100000, 125000, 150000, 175000, 200000, 225000, 250000, 275000, 300000, 325000, 350000, 375000, 400000, 425000, 450000, 475000, and 500000 will also receive a $1,000 winning voucher to claim at the Lottery.

Dear Retailers,
September welcomed the first billion-dollar Powerball jackpot of the Fiscal Year. After Labor Day, the jackpot climbed to $1.787 billion, the second largest in history. Idaho Lottery recorded the best sales week in our history during the run-up to the jackpot. That translated into a tremendous increase in foot traffic to your stores. We know this was a busy time. We appreciate all your hard work and efforts during this epic run and sincerely hope it was beneficial for you as well.
On October 21, the ever-popular Idaho $1,000,000 Raffle marks its 19th year with two guaranteed top prizes of $1,000,000. There are two $1,000,000 prizes, a new $100,000 prize and a new $50,000 prize along with thousands of additional lower prizes this year. We will also be selling an additional 50,000 tickets to satisfy the demand.
You may also recall one of last year’s million dollar winning tickets expired after going unclaimed for 180 days. And while our beneficiaries, public schools and the state’s permanent buildings, benefitted from this, we want our players to claim the prizes they have won. So, if you have the opportunity, please remind players there are two top $1,000,000 prizes.
We also just completed accepting applications from elementary school librarians for our annual Bucks for Books program. Working with the Idaho Commission for Libraries, this program is now in its seventh year. This year’s program will provide schools with $55,000 for the resources they need to improve early education literacy. Just one more example of how the Lottery is benefitting public schools in Idaho.
GRAVITY IS A KINDERGARTEN CONCEPT
In the mid-17th Century while in his garden, noted physicist, mathematician, and astronomer, Sir Isaac Newton, had an apple fall on his head. His theory on universal gravity would mark a high point for both the Enlightenment and Scientific Revolution.
In the 21st Century, Newton’s law of gravity is now a kindergarten concept in Nichole Jones’ classroom at Sunnyside Elementary. Her Classroom Wishlist delivery included indoor recess activities and teaching tools that are interactive, fun, and educational. They also teach the basic concept of gravity.
“During the winter months, trying to get a room of kindergarteners dressed for outdoor recess in the cold, snowy conditions is time consuming, so we keep the students indoors most of the year,” said Nichole describing the need for her Classroom Wishlist request that included a Magna-tiles Downhill Duo construction
set. “These supplies, games, and interactive models, like building a race track, are age appropriate STEM activities that promote problem solving, coordination, fine motor skills, large muscle activities, and teach them concepts like the law of gravity.”
In addition to learning basic scientific principles, these kindergartners are also reading and writing short sentences by the time they reach 1st grade.
“We’re way beyond just reading, writing, and coloring,” added Nichole. “We set these students up for success in later grades. Thank you, Idaho Lottery, for making a difference for our classroom!”

MONEY MONSTER WINNER WITH MONSTER STORY
There are moments in life you will remember forever. Where you were, exactly what you were doing, why you were where you were. Such will always be the case for Jean Ann Foster of Weiser when she won $200,000 on the $20 game Monster Money.
Jean Ann had traveled from Weiser to Payette to take care of a legal matter. She stopped into the Maverik in Payette, just down from the Courthouse on Highway 95 (16th street in Payette).
“I needed to use the facilities before I went to court, so I stopped and went into Maverik,” said Jean Ann thoughtfully. “I had $100, and I purchased a few of those new monster scratch tickets on my way to the restroom. That’s where I played the ticket and couldn’t believe it when I won $200,000!”
Now that’s a monster story. Let’s hear it for life’s memorable moments!

100K MONEY MONSTER WINNER
There are birthday celebrations and then there are birthday celebrations that involve winning the Lottery.
Milissa Leonard was using some of her birthday money to buy a few $10 Money Monster Scratch tickets from the Roadrunner Pit Stop in Idaho Falls. She was doing it for the fun but didn’t expect that she would actually win the game’s first top prize of $100,000.
“I couldn’t believe I’d won,” exclaimed Milissa when she claimed her ticket in Boise.
She was in disbelief when she was handed her check. “This is unbelievable. It’s way more than I thought it would be after taxes.”
Milissa plans to save most of her winnings. When she left the Lottery, she was looking forward to taking her granddaughter to see Shoshone Falls in Twin Falls on her way home.
Scan the QR code to see how much the Money Monster Jackpot 2nd Chance has grown! Must enter by October 31st, 11:59 pm MST to be eligible. Don’t forget to tell your players they can win a weekly $500 prize as well. Here are the winners so far:

BIG POWERBALL WINNERS
Early September witnessed the second largest, single prize jackpot in world history when Powerball soared to $1.787 billion. On the night of the final draw, Idaho had three players match four of the first five winning numbers and the Powerball. Each winning ticket was worth $100,000.
“My winning ticket missed one number. One number away from winning the whole jackpot!” lamented Kristin Kope of Mountain Home with a big smile when she claimed her ticket worth $100,000.
“This is pretty good, though.”
Kristin plans to put aside most of her winnings and use some of it for travel with her husband to Japan and, or, New Zealand.
“I’ve never been and always wanted to go, so this will certainly help to get us there,” she said.
Kristin bought her winning ticket from the Jacksons on Airbase Road in Mountain Home.
Kenneth Hurt has moved from Utah to Idaho to help his mother with her health issues. An Army Veteran, he said winning $100,000 on Powerball would certainly help with expenses.
“This came at just the right time, I’m very grateful,” said Hurt. “Every bit helps when you’re caring for family.”
Hurt bought his winning ticket from the M&W Market on Warm Springs in Boise.
The third $100,000 winning ticket for the Powerball draw was sold at an Idaho Lottery retail location in Oneida County. This ticket remains unclaimed at press
