JURASSIC WORLD Scratch Game

Thump. Thump. Thump. That’s the sound of dinosaurs coming to Idaho! Yes, dinosaurs are real, and they’re headed to your stores this June when the Idaho Lottery unveils its gigantic new $5 Scratch Game, Jurassic World.

A new era is born, and adventure awaits playing Jurassic World, the Scratch Game. Players can win up to $50,000 from one of the nine collectors edition Scratch tickets, or, up to $1,000,000 during the trip of a lifetime in the second-chance promotion.

In the game, players scratch the visage of the dinosaur on the ticket, be it T-Rex, Velociraptor, or Triceratops to uncover iconic symbols from the feature films. Players who reveal a Jurassic World symbol (it says WIN underneath) win the prize shown. Players who reveal a 2X symbol win two times the prize shown. Players who reveal a 5X symbol win five times their prize! If they reveal a dollar amount in the bonus area

under the amber gem with mosquito, they win the prize automatically!

For all non-winning Jurassic World Scratch tickets, players have the chance to win a true Jurassic experience. There is a 2nd Chance Code at the top of each ticket. Players enter the code through the Lottery’s VIP Club to win a trip to Oahu, Hawaii and the chance of winning up to $1,000,000! One lucky player and their guest will win a 6-day / 5-night trip complete with airfare, hotel, and transfers to Hawaii and get to visit Kualoa Ranch nature preserve where they filmed previous Jurassic World and Jurassic Park movies. While on the trip, they’ll have a chance to win up to $1 million in prizes. All tickets must be entered by March 31, 2026, at 11:59 pm Mountain Time. See idaholottery.com for full details.

Cue the epic music and start the adventure, it’s time to find dinosaurs and win cash doing it! Get your players to try Jurassic World the Scratch Game today. And be sure to tell them to check out the feature film Jurassic World Rebirth starring Scarlett Johansson, when it arrives in theaters on July 2nd!

$100,000 WINNER

It’s not every day someone gets to have a close encounter of the Lottery-kind, but for one Boise man, his close encounter turned into a $100,000 winner! Kelly Cline won the last top prize on the Scratch Game Encounters Mystery Box Cashword from a ticket he purchased at Jacksons on Broadway and Gallaher streets in Boise.

Kelly usually plays four tickets at a time that he purchases from the same store, usually Cashword tickets. His first three tickets, one day late in April, were not winners. But on his fourth ticket he thought he’d uncovered only four words. That’s when his experience took an unusual turn.

“When I recounted my words, I realized I had more letters and got excited,” explained Kelly on his checking to verify that what he was seeing was real. “I checked and I had all the right letters. I couldn’t believe it! I got in the car and drove to the Lottery office as fast as I could! I was so excited!”

Turns out his encounter with the Scratch Game was real. Kelly claimed the last top prize of $100,000. With his winnings, Kelly plans to buy a new Ford truck.

Boise Man has Encounters Mystery Box Experience

Dear Retailers,

With the current Fiscal Year winding to an end, on behalf of the Idaho State Lottery Commission and all of us at the Lottery, I express my gratitude to each of you for your continued support of the Idaho Lottery and the good causes we support, Idaho public education and the permanent buildings of the State.

With a month left to go in our sales year, we are holding steady toward delivering the third largest dividend from the third highest sales total in Idaho Lottery history.  This accomplishment is remarkable given that there was only one significant jackpot over $1B and the volatile nature of those games this year, but due largely to the hard work and efforts from you, our valued retail partners, who work collaboratively with us. Coming this summer, we have some gigantic news headed to your stores. The Idaho Lottery will launch its first ever $5 Scratch ticket that gives players the chance to win up to $1,000,000! In early June, the Idaho Lottery will debut a nine-scene, collectors-edition, Jurassic World Scratch game ahead of the feature film release on July 2nd. The top prizes in the game are guaranteed with two $50,000 winners, however, for players who enter the second chance draw, they will have the chance to win up to $1,000,000 during the trip of a lifetime to Oahu, Hawaii! As we close the books for this year, I’m reminded of a quote that sits in the office at North Gem School in Bancroft, Idaho. The western trail-themed sign reminds students and visitors alike, “Don’t look back. You’re not going that way.” I share that sentiment as we take stock of the success we’ve had this year and plan to build upon it moving into the next year.

Happy Selling,

ROCKETS BLAST OFF IN BANCROFT

Nestled against the backdrop of the Caribou-Targhee National Forest in southeast Idaho is the small town of Bancroft. Back in November, the Idaho Lottery delivered a Classroom Wishlist project to Alex Sandoval’s 5th grade classroom at North Gem School in Bancroft. For their science curriculum, the students were going to study space. As their project, each student was going to build a working rocket to launch in the spring.

On a partly cloudy spring afternoon in May, Mrs. Sandoval’s class was ready for her students to make their rocket’s maiden voyages and launch them into the sky.

“These rockets are capable of reaching 1,900 to 2,000 feet into the sky,” said Mrs. Sandoval. “We had to postpone the launch a day because of high winds. We were worried about where the rockets would end up!”

Her students echoed her sentiments. “Besides how to build a rocket, we’ve learned about practice, patience, and perseverance, especially in launching our rockets,” said one of her students before the flights.

“We also learned about Jose Hernandez whose childhood dream was to become a

NASA astronaut and applied twelve times before being accepted into their training program,” said another student.

When asked who was going to be the next astronaut from the class, one young boy replied, “Astronaut? I don’t want to be an astronaut. I want to be a cowboy!”

When this student was asked if they would need cowboys in space, he thought for a minute, then revised his original statement: “Space Cowboys?! I could be the first!”

Moments later in the spring sunshine, the class successfully launched all their rockets, many of which were named, such as “Wizard” or the classic “Saturn V”.

Here is wishing Mrs. Sandoval’s class fair

CARDINAL ACADEMY

As part of the Classroom Wishlist program, the Idaho Lottery hosted a ceremony presenting much needed technology upgrades and 30 new Chromebooks to support the ongoing mission of the Cardinal Academy Public Charter School in west Boise. The delivery ceremony for the $9,750 award occurred in mid-May. The school’s counselor, Amber Abercrombie, made the request on behalf of their faculty and student population.

The Cardinal Academy is a public charter high school for pregnant and parenting teens. The school’s mission is to help these students complete high school. Mobile technology, like laptops or Chrome books, often makes the difference in being able to graduate.

In Amber’s words, “When our school opened four years ago, money was so tight that we gladly accepted any old, discarded laptops other local schools were

slapping a "band aid" on them and carrying on. Our students are often on bedrest, maternity leave, or home with sick babies. We need to have a working device for each of our students in case they have to do their coursework from home.”

Wish granted. Congratulations to all 18 students of the Cardinal Academy who graduated this spring!

Alejandra Wins $60,000!

the beginning of April. Due to her work schedule, it would be mid-May, just before Mother’s Day that she got the chance to spin the wheel.

Accompanied by friends and family, Alejandra made the most of her efforts, spinning and taking home $60,000.

“This is a wonderful Mother’s Day present,” she said on her big win. “It’s going to help our house and my family, thank you!”

Alejandra’s winning ticket was sold at the Fast Stop La Tienda store in Franklin, Idaho. One top prize remains in the silver edition of the Big Spin, although the game is very near to selling out.
