Working within A&E, our Paramedics utilise key assessment skills to positively impact patient wait times, maximise patient discharge and meet budget requirements:
■ Work in minors, majors and resus
■ Dealing with both primary health care and Acute life threatening injuries
■ IV/IO access application (if signed off by a Doctor)
■ Administration of education Practical assessments for MSK/CVS/GI/UR/RS/CNS
■ Providing ALS to patients
■ Conducting ECG’s
■ Categorising patients for Triage
■ Preparation of antibiotics/drugs
■ Phlebotomy duties
■ Handover of patients to wards
■ Providing personal care to patients, including: bathing, cleaning, dressing and toilet duties

Working in Minors and Majors, via a complete managed service or a bespoke service tailored to your needs, our Paramedics deal with patient handovers alongside administering IV and drugs in line with Trust guidelines.
On occasions, our Paramedics also cover the Nurse in charge to coordinate the department:
■ Liaising with Radiology
■ Observations of patient care and completing relevant paperwork through the admission path
■ Personal care including: bathing, dressing, cleaning, toilet duties, refreshments
■ 2 lead ECGs, Vital Pack trained
■ Blood tests and Cannulations
■ Liaising with families, Drs and other Healthcare Professionals
