Service Overview ID Medical provides specialist neurodevelopmental assessment services designed to support NHS Organisations in addressing increasing demand and long waiting times for diagnostic assessments.

Our services focus on the delivery of autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) assessments for children and young people. Assessments are delivered by experienced multidisciplinary clinicians in line with national guidance.

We work in partnership with NHS Trusts through insourcing and outsourcing delivery models, supporting waiting list reduction while maintaining high clinical standards and a positive experience for children and families.

Our Neurodevelopmental Services We provide diagnostic assessment services for: Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) Comprehensive multidisciplinary assessments for children and young people referred for autism assessment.

Assessments typically include:

■ Developmental history interviews ■ Structured observational assessments (ADOS-2) ■ Multidisciplinary diagnostic formulation ■ Diagnostic feedback and detailed reports Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) Comprehensive ADHD diagnostic assessments delivered by experienced clinicians.

Assessments typically include:

■ Clinical interviews ■ Developmental history ■ Rating scales and school information ■ Risk and comorbidity screening ■ Diagnostic feedback and report

Our Service Model ID Medical supports NHS services through flexible delivery models designed to meet local service requirements.

Insourcing Clinical teams work within NHS premises using Trust systems and pathways to support existing neurodevelopmental services and reduce waiting lists.

Outsourcing Assessment services are delivered through ID Medical clinics and systems, with completed assessments and reports returned to the commissioning organisation.

Multidisciplinary Clinical Workforce Our neurodevelopmental services are delivered by experienced clinicians, including:

Our Impact ID Medical has supported NHS neurodevelopmental services across the UK to address increasing demand and reduce long waiting times for diagnostic assessments.

In one South Coast service, ID Medical was commissioned to support a significant backlog of children awaiting autism assessments, with many families waiting several years for diagnosis.

Through the rapid mobilisation of a multidisciplinary clinical team and the implementation of a structured assessment pathway, the service successfully expanded clinical capacity and improved access to assessment.

The model has since been extended to continue supporting waiting list reduction, reflecting the success of the partnership.

This enables rapid mobilisation of multidisciplinary teams and allows services to expand clinical capacity quickly to support waiting list reduction initiatives.

Faster Diagnostic Pathways Our reporting model supports three–fourweek report turnaround times, enabling earlier diagnostic confirmation for families and helping services move patients through the pathway more efficiently.

High Throughput, Without Compromising Quality Our streamlined assessment model enables services to deliver up to four assessments per clinic per day, increasing diagnostic capacity while maintaining high clinical standards and patient experience.

Patient-Centred Approach Each family is supported by a dedicated case coordinator, providing a single point of contact throughout the assessment process and ensuring clear communication between families, clinicians and services.
