NEWS FROM HQ A MESSAGE FROM THE MD, ANDY KYNOCH
A year ago in these very pages I suggested it felt as if the shackles of covid were off and that we were ‘up and running’, to coin a phrase. To some extent we were, after the initial stop-start of Omicron, our business started to come back, although on the Aviation side of the house it did not get to pre-pandemic levels. Some airports did and Bristol Airport was the fastest growing in 2022. This year, not only are the shackles long gone, they are decidedly rusty and sit forlornly in the corner. In 2023, Aviation is expected to hit pre-pandemic levels and at some airports even slightly exceed those of 2019. We are ready to jointly face the challenges of 2023 and the new opportunities it will bring. These pages are once again full of many great stories. One such tale relates to the above and beyond efforts of our just nominated Employee of the Year, Gerard O’Reilly, who single handedly prevented a transatlantic aircraft from being seriously damaged at Dublin Airport. On the Corporate Security front, we continue to push on into the world of Data Centres and expand that particular niche in our business. Our Canine Division is flourishing too. Our Business Assurance Department has been really busy across all aspects of our company and in particular were out in the field on ‘Time to Talk’ day. We should all be aware of the power of conversation and how it can help our mental health.
Finally, I mentioned earlier that Aviation was on the bounce back from covid and there is no story more indicative of that fact than Delta Airlines’ return to London Gatwick after a break of 11 years. Delta’s first transatlantic service was to Gatwick in 1978 and the airline grew it’s business there for 34 years before transferring over to Heathrow. Although it’s just one flight for now, I am proud that ICTS will continue to serve our friends at Delta Airlines as they make a historical return to London Gatwick. As always, take care, stay safe and keep talking. - Andy.

AWARDS & EVENTS

EMPLOYEE OF THE YEAR AWARD 2022: GERARD O’REILLY
Many congratulations to Gerard (Gerry) who has been crowned our Employee of the Year of 2022! Gerry’s swift actions prevented significant damage to an aircraft engine at Dublin Airport. Strong winds had blown a baggage cart towards the engine of an aircraft. Gerard raised the alarm and ran to intercept it, managing to reduce its speed. As a result of Gerry’s efforts, the engine only suffered minor damage and the aircraft was able to depart safely. Gerry is a Security Agent who joined our team at Dublin Airport in May 2016. Prior to working for ICTS Gerry was involved in aircraft engine maintenance and testing. Gerry was one of our Employees of the Quarter 2 in 2022.
The winner of the Employee of the Year award will receive £/€5000 (gross) bonus and a lapel pin.
GERARD -
“This is an honour as I was not expecting it. What I did came natural as I always looked around to pay attention to what was happening around me, both for my own safety and for the safety of others. The ramp can be a dangerous place and we have to look out for each other. I am very pleased to accept this award both for myself and for ICTS Ireland.”

THE UK OUTSTANDING SECURITY PERFORMANCE AWARDS (OSPAS) 2023—FINALISTS
FROM SILVER TO CORPORATE PARTNERS OF THE AOA (AIRPORT OPERATORS ASSOCIATION)
ICTS UK is delighted to have recently become Corporate Partners of the Airport Operators Association (AOA).
We were delighted to be finalists in the following two categories: Outstanding Contract Security Company; Outstanding Event Security Team. Our entry for the ‘Outstanding Event Security Team’ category was based upon the terrific work carried out by our Canine Security Team at the 2022 Commonwealth Games. Ashley Fernandes, Executive Director - Corporate Security, ICTS UK & Ireland, commented, “We are extremely proud of our teams being nominated finalists in two categories at this year’s OSPAs. As well as Outstanding Contract Security Company, it is very rewarding to see our Canine Security Team being recognised for their work supporting West Midlands Police at the 2022 Commonwealth Games. Their focus and work ensuring that ICTS was the first private company in the UK to achieve the NCTAS-P standard ensures that we are leading the way in quality and expertise in the sector.”
The AOA, founded in 1934, includes nearly 50 airports and over 100 Associate Members, made up of companies representing numerous suppliers in the aviation industry. The AOA works on behalf of its members, to influence governments and regulators at national and international level. Its mission is to secure policy outcomes that will deliver its vision for UK aviation, including security, safety and environmental sustainability issues.
THE AOA ANNUAL CONFERENCE
The National Canine Training and Accreditation Scheme – Private Security Industry (NCTAS-P) is intended to provide the operators of sites procuring and using explosives detection dog (EDD) services with confidence in the quality of those services through accreditation of each EDD team (a specific dog and handler pairing). The NCTAS-P standard enabled our Event Security Team to work seamlessly in collaboration with the Police and Government Explosives Detection Dog teams. “It was great to represent ICTS at the Airport Operators Association Conference 2023 - where the theme was ‘Airports for the Future’. It was an informative event highlighting future challenges as industry recovers whilst trying to consider the environmental impact of their choices, with a honest Ministerial keynote address from Mick Harper MP – Secretary of State for Transport” said Danielle Davies (Head of Compliance - Airports). "It was a fantastic opportunity to attend the AOA conference 2023 on behalf of ICTS. It was very interesting to learn about the impacts Covid had on other areas within our industry and the challenges we now face ahead to make our industry more sustainable and environmentally friendly" said Ceri Matthews (Head of Training).

Results have been shared regionally and our management teams are working to focus on actions that can positively affect areas for improvement. We are also proud to announce that we have newly qualified Operational Mental Health First Aiders, more details to follow…
This day is recognised globally as a day to celebrate the achievements of women and to embrace equality. We celebrate the many women of ICTS UK & Ireland, and to mark this day, we have launched a new ‘giving back’ initiative for 2023. Jayne Thorpe-Negbi, Executive Director – HR & Compliance, ICTS UK & Ireland said, “I’m delighted to announce that ICTS UK & Ireland will be supporting the Wonder Foundation. They work with many inspiring organisations around the world who are providing long-lasting education and training projects for women and girls.” ICTS believes that all women and girls should have access to quality education so that they can thrive. Worldwide, an estimated 129 million girls are denied access to education, according to a recent UNESCO report.

TIME TO TALK
‘Time to Talk’ day is the nation’s biggest mental health conversation. Happening every year, it’s a day for friends, families, communities, and workplaces to come together to talk, listen and change lives. Talking about mental health isn’t aways easy, but a conversation has the power to change lives. Business Assurance Department’s Safety Team: Hilary Curtis, Phil Linford and Olu OlojoKosoko attended our Time to Talk day on 2 February at our London Heathrow Airport contracts. “We were escorted by the excellent Atta Bhatti (Duty Manager) and met several staff on the day: Operational staff including some of our Safety Champions, at the Virgin Atlantic check-in, a/c, ramp duty staff, and control room allocator personnel. In addition we met boarding - gate check staff for Delta. We also chatted to one of our agents who was there to board the Delta flight, on the jet bridge. We similarly managed a quick chat with the Delta crew who were very nice, and we explained the reason why we were there” wrote Phil Linford, Deputy Health & Safety Manager.

OUR NEW MENTAL HEALTH FIRST AIDERS
Many congratulations to our newly qualified Mental Health First Aiders from across the business: CHRIS LEAN (REGIONAL MANAGER—DATA CENTRES)
Photo (L-R): Hilary Curtis, Phil Linford, Bruno Saldanha, Atta Bhatti and Olu Olojo-Kosoko.
“Mental Health is so important; and speaking as someone who has suffered previously, due to the pressures of modern life, I found the training a great opportunity to offer a listening and supportive ear to my colleagues. The stigmas of talking about our mental welfare are a thing of the past, and it’s good to talk!”
11
ALEXANDRU URSAN (REGIONAL MANAGER—DATA CENTRES)
“Absolutely delighted to have the opportunity of becoming a Mental Health First Aider. I am looking forward to supporting my colleagues and other members of the public.”
MARCELLA MC INERNEY (LINE MANAGER/ DUTY SUPERVISOR—SHANNON AIRPORT)
“I feel the mental health first aid training was very informative to me in my role as the Line Manager/ Supervisor for the team here in Shannon Airport. It gave me the tools to show support and speak to any of my team members who might need support and access different types of resources like first level support and early intervention that could possibly help them with any mental health issues that arise inside or outside of the workplace.”
PRATINGNA VITAL (CONTRACT MANAGER—LONDON HEATHROW AIRPORT)
“The Mental Health First Aid training showed me a different perspective of mental health issues and how to best help these issues with the skills taught in the training. Mental Health First Aid training is a very useful skill to have, especially considering the stresses both inside and outside of work.” KIRSTY VIRDEE (ICTS OPERATIONS DUTY MANAGER (INTERIM)-—LONDON HEATHROW AIRPORT)
“Completing the Mental Health First Aid course is so valuable and important within the workplace as it has provided me with the tools to be able to support employees with the aim of providing good mental health at work. Being equipped with valuable information from a course like this allows us as a company to spot signs and symptoms of some mental health issues while being able to provide non-judgemental support and guiding employees to find sources of support elsewhere should they need it. People should be able to have someone to listen to them when needed including in the workplace. I feel proud to work for a company which is recognising and encouraging positive mental health at work.”
12
AMANDA GRINYER (STATION MANAGER— SOUTHAMPTON AIRPORT)
Becoming a Mental Health First Aider has given me a more indepth insight into people’s individual needs with regards to their health. I have always been a support network to colleagues, but this training has allowed me to support them to another level and give me the confidence that I was supporting them initially. This has also given me support in my own needs and to teach
MARIAN DEVEREUX (ADMINISTRATOR—DUBLIN AIRPORT)
“I found the course to be very interesting and yet surprising at how mental health can affect someone in different ways. I welcomed the tools that I could use to help someone and also having the conversations with some of the course participants who have experienced challenges and were able to convey how they dealt with them. Overall, a very thought provoking course.”
The following colleagues are also newly-qualified Mental Health First Aiders:
me to look after myself.” MICHAEL HENDERSON (TRAINER—LONDON GATWICK AIRPORT)
“Being a MENTAL HEALTH FIRST AIDER means that the brilliant Agents at Gatwick can have the help they need. Making sure that everyone knows the importance of a healthy work/life balance to improve THEIR lives is vital, firstly to them and secondly to ICTS. Being there in someone’s time of need is an honour and a privilege.”

EMPLOYEE LONG SERVICE AWARDS 15 YEARS’ SERVICE
Thank you to the following members of staff for their commitment and loyalty to the organization: 20 YEARS’ SERVICE
William Denoronha (London Gatwick Airport) “I emigrated from Kenya and joined a US army base in Germany for 13 years before coming to the UK and joining ICTS at London Gatwick Airport in 2003. I started my career with an american carrier before joining HBS as an x-ray operative. I have also worked on documentation checking. I have met some amazing people during my time with ICTS and I am happy to be a part of the ICTS family.”
Geoffrey Parker (Manchester Airport) Geoff started in 2002 and has seen 5 Station Managers come and go. He thoroughly enjoys the work particularly the variety and comments that every day is different. Whilst he has worked every airside position we operate, his speciality was always Catering where he built up an excellent knowledge of all the airline and regulator requirements and was considered an ‘expert’ in this field. Still enjoys the job and will continue working for a few more years. Socially, he helps out at an old persons home and regularly visits his son in Thailand.
Many congratulations also to Yogesh Pillay (London Heathrow Airport) who marks 20 years’ service with us.
Parmjit Matharu (London Heathrow Airport) “Since I have been in ICTS, I have always been a very motivated and driven individual with a passion for Customer Service. I remember when my journey began, I was totally fascinated to be working for such an established team and organisation. Having worked with ICTS since 2008 I am always delighted to say that ICTS is professional in security, also recognised throughout Europe as the provider of innovative security and is very customer service focused. During my journey with ICTS as a Security Officer, I was given the opportunity to enhance my skills, the relevant training as a profiler having to assist American Airlines and later during a transition period, I decided to move on to Delta Airlines participating in APM profiling. It has been incredible to see our company ICTS grow and evolve. They have expanded in so many ways evolving with the times and offering great opportunities for new talent. It's been a wild and exciting ride never a dull moment for me. To the ICTS team at Heathrow and all my colleagues "you are a family to me". We spend a lot of time with each other, we work hard and are compensated well, enjoy the time spent together and are very proud of our company. The Department Heads care about us and our wellbeing. Thank you for being such a great company to be a part of.”
21
Audrey Westbury (Manchester Airport) “I joined ICTS in January
2008, having spent most of my adult life in the retail sector, which included owning my own Café/ sandwich shop. I felt I needed a change, so I sold the business and was looking around for something different. I tried working in Boots at Manchester Airport, but it wasn’t for me. I felt I needed a complete change. I saw ICTS staff doing their jobs, and decided to apply. I was so pleased when my application was accepted and I started work with the company. I have worked on most contracts at Manchester, including profiling on Canadian and US flights, integrated check-in, Singapore, Virgin, Delta, Aer Lingus, Catering, Ryanair, EasyJet, and executive business clients, and in the main I have enjoyed every minute. Over the years, I have seen many changes in aviation security, including changes in profiling, such as the introduction of BDO’s. Lots of airlines have come and gone, particularly since Covid-19, but as a team we have just met all challenges, which makes it all worthwhile. Working for ICTS is great because age doesn’t matter, and I feel respected for my experience. Our workforce at MAN is younger now than it once was, which is great for the company and for me! I have made many friends over the years, some of whom have left ICTS, but who I still meet with socially for meals. That’s just one of the great things about working at MAN. I look forward to many more years working for ICTS.”
Michael Walcott (London Heathrow Airport Cargo)
“I am happy to celebrate my 15th Anniversary of working with ICTS. It has been an eventful journey where I have learnt and contributed in equal measures. My personal experience is that the staff at all levels at ICTS Cargo have always been helpful and supportive towards me. ICTS Cargo has a good working environment and I am glad I have been here for such a long time. Thank you to my co-workers and Management team.” Many congratulations also to Kulvinder Badhan (London Heathrow Airport) and Hinaben Patel (London Heathrow Airport) who mark 15 years’ service with us.

10 YEARS’ SERVICE
MEET OUR DIVISIONAL DIRECTOR OF ASM (THE SECURITY TECHNOLOGY SUBSIDIARY OF ICTS UK & IRELAND)
No-one this quarter!
5 YEARS’ SERVICE
Paul Aisbitt (Financial Institution), James Barnes (Financial Institution), Man Khanal (Financial Institution) Diane Morgan (Financial Institution), David Tridgell (Financial Institution), Michael Watt (Financial Institution), Michael O'Shaughnessy (Financial Institution), Ian Brown (Financial Institution), Robert Young (ASM), Jody Slater (Financial Institution), Rachel Greenway (Bristol Airport), Seema Singh (London Heathrow Airport), Verinder Virk (London Heathrow Airport), Habiba Hujale (London Heathrow Airport), Tareq Mahmoud (London Heathrow Airport), Richard Pennock (Bristol Airport), Monika Marczyk (Bristol Airport), Edmonds Victor (Cisco), Robbie Clarkson (Edinburgh Airport), Richard Hymns (Canine Security), John Graham (Canine Security), Kamal Osman (London Heathrow Airport), Abeda Parveen (London Heathrow Airport), Meena Ravrani (London Heathrow Airport), Tiffany Wallace (London Heathrow Airport), Najim Rguyeg (London Heathrow Airport), Ashok Rai (London Heathrow Airport), Sean Brennan (Manchester Airport), Lydia Tolley (Bristol Airport), Christopher Cooper (Edinburgh Airport), Warren McCourt (Epsom & St. Helier NHS Trust), Kamal Bhamra (London Heathrow Airport), Aie Aoudi (London Heathrow Airport), Charanjit Nagpal (London Heathrow Airport).
Curtis Wright When did you join ICTS? January 2021, still amidst the chaos of lockdowns. What do you enjoy most of your job? The diversity, no one day is ever the same. What key attributes make someone successful in your role? A calm and pragmatic approach is certainly key and continual review is imperative in this industry, it is extremely fast-paced and changes very quickly. The ability to adapt and communicate well with the team and show leadership is also important. What is your favourite pastime? I have always had a passion for motorcycling and racing. I have competed in various championships up and down the UK as well as different disciplines including motocross, trials, and superbikes. What has been your greatest achievement? I am a very proud father of two children, and they are certainly my biggest achievements. However, from a career perspective becoming the youngest General Manager in Chubb Fire & Security at 29 after starting as an apprentice engineer was something I am very proud of. If you weren’t a Security Technology specialist, what type of career would you choose? I think I am too old now for a professional racing career (not sure I ever had the ability either), but would love to work within this area somewhere, perhaps run a shop or retrain as a mechanic.

The scheme has been established to recognise those employees who deliver excellent customer service to such a level that a client or a member of the public takes the trouble to write/post a commendation about the service delivered. This scheme goes a small way to say thank you and recognises all those very important customer service interventions by many of our employees. Employees are asked to email a copy of the feedback to our HR Team—hr@icts.co.uk.
Please note that nominations for Employee of the Quarter should only be in respect of employees who have gone above and beyond their daily duties. AVIATION SECURITY
Photo (L-R): Mandy Grinyer (Station Manager at Southampton) with Ann Brade.
EMPLOYEES OF THE 4th QUARTER FROM OUR AVIATION DIVISION: ANN BRADE AND VICKY RICHARDS
Congratulations to our EoQ from Aviation: Ann Brade from Southampton Airport and Vicky Richards from Bristol Airport. Ann had finished her shift and was walking through the short stay car park when she overheard a gentleman comment to his elderly mother “you’d have thought they would have been able to provide some help for you”. Ann looked up and saw the lady was less mobile, so told them to wait there. She then commandeered a wheelchair and returned to them and helped them with their bags to the Terminal. Ann went out of her way to provide excellent customer service. Vicky went above and beyond when assisting and trying to resolve a very difficult situation. Central Search can be an immensely stressful place due to large passenger numbers and anxiety about the process for anyone and Vicky supported the family of a young autistic boy by listening, remaining calm and actively seeking to make the situation better. This ensured the whole family could ultimately proceed without further delay or disruption to the rest of their journey.
All 2022 winner(s) of the Employee of the Quarter make up the shortlist for the Employee (s) of the Year 2022 award, who will receive £/€5,000 (gross) and a lapel pin. Ann “I was very excited to receive this award. Thank you
ICTS.”
Vicky “I am very grateful to receive this award and appreciate the recognition. As a Supervisor, I am there to ensure our passengers have the best experience they possibly can and sometimes the smallest things make that difference. We all need to look after each other. I am glad I was there and able help make things better that day.” Vicky’s actions were praised on a local Facebook page— here’s an extract:

EMPLOYEES OF THE 4th QUARTER FROM OUR CORPORATE DIVISION: BRADLEY MARTINEZ, SABTAIN AHMED AND ISMAAEEL KHAN Congratulations to our EoQs from Corporate: Sabtain Ahmed and Ismaaeel Khan from the Buckinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust contract. Sabtain and Imaaeel have been recognised for the manner in which they dealt with a very difficult incident back in December. They were called to an area of the Hospital only to discover a male had collapsed behind a closed door. They called for the assistance of the emergency services; police, fire, and ambulance service. The fire brigade managed to remove the door and gain full access where the male was sadly pronounced deceased. A lengthy police investigation took place. Sabtain and Ismaaeel remained calm and professional throughout a very difficult incident, made worse by the fact that they had known the NHS staff member in question.
Winner(s) of the Employee of the Quarter award will receive £/€500 (net) bonus and a lapel pin.
Sabtain “I am delighted and honoured to have been selected.”
Ismaaeel “I am very happy and delighted to have been chosen as the employee of the quarter. This has made me love my job much more. Thank you very much for the nomination."

CORPORATE SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY CHRISTMAS JUMPER DAY AT LONDON HEATHROW AIRPORT
HUNDREDS OF CARE PACKS DELIVERED TO THE ELDERLY AT HILLINGDON HOSPITALS
Team ICTS at London Heathrow Airport celebrated Christmas Jumper Day at the end of last year, raising over £500 for Save the Children charity.
ICTS UK & Ireland, in partnership with one of our aviation clients, delivered hundreds of care packs to the elderly at Hillingdon Hospital’s Beaconsfield East and Rockwood wards. The packs, which included bathrobes, pyjamas and toiletries, were gratefully received by the patients in the lead-up to Christmas.
“We all feel very proud of the support given by everyone who took part or donated on the day and for the generous gesture by ICTS, helping to support worthwhile causes”, said Kirsty Virdee - ICTS Operations Duty Manager (Interim) - LHR.
Alan Dutt, Executive Director of Aviation Security Services, ICTS UK & Ireland, said, “We took some time out of our busy schedules to come together and hopefully make a difference to the many elderly patients who unfortunately had to spend the festive period in hospital. In addition to the care packs, we brought 38 boxes of chocolates for the staff on the wards to enjoy. I would like to thank our client and ICTS Team for their involvement and support with this special initiative.” Hillingdon Hospital is an acute and specialist services provider very close to London Heathrow Airport where ICTS has a large operational presence. The majority of our aviation team live and work around London Heathrow Airport and Hillingdon Hospital in NorthWest London lies at the heart of our community.

NEWS FROM OUR CONTRACTS: CORPORATE SECURITY DAVID MCCOSKRIE, SECURITY TEAM MANAGER AT GLASGOW AIRPORT “One of my close friends
had a baby born very prematurely, thankfully all was well in the end, but throughout the experience my friend’s family got a lot of help from a premature baby charity which organised cycle challenges to help fundraise. Being a keen cyclist, I saw this as a good opportunity to do something to help other people in similar circumstances. My friend was originally going to also take part however has had to drop out, but the challenge was too exciting for me to miss out on!
OUR TEAM AT BUCKINGHAMSHIRE HEALTHCARE NHS TRUST RECEIVE AN ‘EXCELLENCE REPORT’ Congratulations to our Team at Buckinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust based at Wycombe Hospital who has been praised for providing an excellent service. An extract from the ‘Excellence Report’ received from our client: “If called for assistance the security mobile is answered rapidly and a guard is deployed to area immediately to assist if required. Staff now feel safe and confident knowing that support is on hand at all times, should a situation arise.”
We will be cycling from London to Paris over 4 days. Day 1 is London to Dover where we get the ferry to Calais. Then over the next 3 days we work south from Dover to Paris, through Arras & Compiegne, covering well over 300 miles in total. The charity I am raising money for is Action Medical Research, who fund vital research to help defeat diseases that can devastate the lives of sick and disabled babies, children and young people.” The minimum amount of sponsorship is £1,750 and I have raised £1,500 already, and am hoping to get through the £2,000 barrier.” The link to David’s fundraising page: https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/david-mccoskrie2? utm_source=Sharethis&utm_medium=fundraising&utm_content =david-mccoskrie2&utm_campaign=pfpemail&utm_term=0136db4a1c4d4a4f9f7aeddbe0ad1517

SECURITY ROAD SHOW HELD AT EDF ENERGY The EDF Security team, together with ICTS’ Canine Team, held a roadshow at one of its sites. The roadshow was an opportunity for the Security team to spend time talking to staff and contract partners. An extract from an email received from EDF following the roadshow: “The star of the show as always was one of our furry members of the team, Millie, one of our ICTS explosive detection dogs. Millie and her trainer Bill ran demonstrations throughout the roadshow, with Millie searching various areas of the canteen as well as showing her skills using different scents within canisters. Staff had the opportunity to talk to Millie's handler and walk Millie down the line of canisters to see if she could find the correct scent representing a banned substance.”

Jo was rewarded for advising that the barriers for queuing were not safe. A child had been injured at a retail outlet.
Helen Blacklaw, Station Manager wrote, “Glasgow Airport hosted its biggest-ever jobs fair on 19 January, offering a wide range of job opportunities. Over 35 employers based across the airport's campus and beyond took part in the event, which was held on the first floor of the main terminal. More than 1,100 jobseekers visited throughout the day to find out more about the employment opportunities on offer. As the security specialist on site, we too had our very own stand and, on the day, there was an immense amount of interest, especially as we are currently recruiting for our very busy spring and summer seasons. It was a great success and since the event, we have received numerous application forms and on the back of this, several interviews have already taken place. It was a great way to showcase what job opportunities Glasgow Airport and the wider community have to offer.”

TRAINING NEWS REPORTED BY SARINA REUBEN (TRAINING AND COMPLIANCE MANAGER)
It has been a busy few months for the Aviation Division with ongoing recruitment and training. A few courses have taken place to upskill staff and progress them through the ranks as the needs of the business are growing. Ground Security Supervisor Course – LHR (8-11 November 2022) I delivered a supervisor course at LHR for new Supervisors. The course was delivered over 4 days and covered the role of the supervisor, regulatory requirements, compliance and standards. The Supervisors all passed with flying colours and since have completed their on-job-training and are fully qualified to supervise their teams at Heathrow. Congratulations on your new role with ICTS.
PQCT Auditor’s Course – Sheraton Heathrow (15-17 November 2022) The Internal Auditors course, facilitated by Enno Geissler from PQCT Europe and Sarina Reuben, UK & Ireland Training and Compliance manager, hosted participants from ICTS UK only, in response to a strong demand generated by the recent start of passenger screening activities of ICTS UK at London LHR airport. The professional background of the participants was essentially in airport and airline security. Most were long-standing and experienced staff, and all displayed enthusiasm and a keen interest in the subject matter. Only a few participants had prior experience as auditors. The scope of the participants’ future activities will essentially encompass compliance monitoring and conducting self-assessments in the context of ICTS UK’s SAAF program. The course was aimed at giving the participants the necessary awareness and a solid basis in the matters of compliance monitoring, quality management and verification techniques. The course programme allowed room for the discussion of topics relevant to the activities carried out by the participants. Congratulations to all on successfully passing the course.

Benji, the Cocker Spaniel who did not pass our very strict Search Dog assessment standards, has found his forever home! “Benji was rehomed with one of our kennel staff at our boarding kennels. After a weekend of introductions, Benji’s new family quickly confirmed that they would like to rehome him permanently.
Benji now shares a busy family home with 4 humans and 2 other dogs in the Northampton countryside. He has more than a few daily walks with his new family and has really settled in well.” - Calum Brown (Senior Training Manager, Canine Security)
