NEWS FROM HQ A MESSAGE FROM THE MD, ANDY KYNOCH

To be a success in any walk of life, be it at home or in business, there needs to be an overriding commitment to not only work hard but also teamwork. This year, 2023 has seen just that from the ICTS family in the UK and Ireland. This happens every year, you may say, and of course it does. However, this past year has proven to be one in which it was needed more than ever before, as every business built on last year’s bounce-back from the pandemic and then kicked on to normality. One such great example occurred in Dublin, Ireland back in April. Tasked with mobilising a large number of Data Centres to the north and south of the city within less than 30 days, ICTS teams from both sides of the Irish Sea worked hard and together to ensure the contract commenced exactly on time despite the short notice. It was a huge undertaking by everyone involved and the true ICTS ‘can do’ spirit, for which we are renowned, came through again. Outstanding!

I see and witness this spirit whenever I visit the operation whether it be a corporate security site or an airport one, I am still humbled and amazed by the excellent staff members I meet along the way. The following pages carry so many good news stories about our fellow colleagues and the company - I hope you enjoy reading them. As you can see from this edition and the previous three, 2023 has been a busy and successful year. I look forward to working with you all in 2024 and growing the business through teamwork. This will provide new opportunities for more people to join the ranks of this fantastic company. With that said, I wish you and your loved ones Season’s Greetings and a very Happy New Year. LEXIE AND XALA WIN THE 2023 WCOSP SECURITY DOG AND HANDLER AWARD (23 NOVEMBER)

SECURITY & FIRE EXCELLENCE AWARDS 2023 The ICTS Europe Group with Viridian won a Silver Award for the SECURITY SOFTWARE PRODUCT OR SOFTWARE AS A SERVICE INNOVATION OF THE YEAR category at this year’s Security & Fire Excellence Awards. We were also finalists in the following categories: •

The Awards ceremony, which took place on Monday, 4 December 2023 at the JW Marriott Grosvenor House on Park Lane, London, was attended by colleagues from across the Corporate Division, HR and our clients and contacts.

Many congratulations to ICTS Handler, Lexie Healy and Xala, her General-Purpose Patrol Dog for winning the prestigious Worshipful Company of Security Professionals (WCoSP) Security Dog & Handler Award! Lexie wrote, “On Thursday 23 November, I was fortunate enough to attend an award ceremony at Saddlers Hall in London held by the Worshipful Company of Security Professionals. Back in the summer, my GP dog Xala and I had chased and detained a male in Canary Wharf who was a suspect in a knife related incident. The male was then arrested by armed police at the scene. It was a team effort with my colleagues Jason and Ewan also assisting alongside the Canary Wharf security team. I had later been nominated for Security Dog Handler of the Year 2023 and I somehow won it! I received my award first with Xala, who had been extremely quiet until the citation was read, who chose this moment to say some words of her own. She barked several times during the reading and luckily people found this quite funny.

Andy Dodds - Divisional Director—Canine Security and Ashley Fernandes—Executive Director—Corporate Security also attended the ceremony with me. We met the other winners including the Military Working Dog of the Year and Law Enforcement Dogs of the Year. It was a wonderful ceremony and something I will always remember.”

DATA CENTRES IRELAND (22-23 NOVEMBER 2023, DUBLIN) ICTS was delighted to attend Data Centres Ireland on 22 November 2023 in Dublin. The exhibition and conference serve as a valuable platform for professionals and companies involved in data centre infrastructure, management, and related technologies to network, share insights, and showcase innovations in the field. Peter McGowan, Strategic Client Director for ICTS & Ireland said, ”Ensuring a top-tier physical security setup is essential for data centres given the crucial nature of their operations. Our data centre clients rely on us to deliver a holistic approach to security. In many cases, we have supported our clients through the life cycle of a data centre – starting from the construction phase and extending through to operations.”

ASSOCIATION OF SCOTTISH BUSINESSWOMEN SCOTLAND - ANNUAL AWARDS Congratulations to our very own, Louise Cameron, Divisional Director Aviation Scotland, who has been shortlisted for the Overcoming Adversity category at the Association of Scottish Businesswomen - Scotland - Annual Awards.

AOA OPERATIONS & SAFETY CONFERENCE (9 NOVEMBER) Pratingna Vital (Pinky), Contract Manager—LHR wrote, “It was the first time I attended this conference, and it was such a good experience. It was interesting to know what other airports do for the safety of their employees, and what resources they use to ensure the passengers have the best experience travelling through those airports. I’m glad I attended.”

WOMEN IN SECURITY AWARDS 2023 (14 SEPTEMBER) A lovely evening was had by all on 14 September at the Women in Security Awards celebrating Women in Security. In attendance from ICTS were our MD, Andy Kynoch, and representatives from across our ICTS operational and support Teams. The gala dinner, held at Shakespeare’s Underglobe Theatre in London was a wonderful opportunity for us to recognise and celebrate the achievements and valuable contribution of our staff. This year, we are pleased to have nominated Agnieszka Chlewicka for the Security Manager category and Shani Baldwin for the Frontline category.

The importance of women in the field of security cannot be overstated. The promotion of gender diversity in our Industry is important to us and will continue to be our focus.

CITY SECURITY COUNCIL IN PARTNERSHIP WITH ITS MEMBERS

AOA SECURITY CONFERENCE 2023 (YORK) The Airport Operators Association (AOA) Security Conference took place at the end of September in York. Danielle Davies, Head of Compliance - Airports wrote, “Recently, Ceri (Ceri Matthews—Head of Training) and I had the privilege of representing ICTS UK & Ireland at the AOA Conference in York, a pivotal gathering that brought together industry leaders from across the aviation sector, including the Department for Transport (DfT), the U.S. Transportation and Security Administration, airports, airlines, academia, and regulators. Over two days, we delved into vital topics such as next -generation security, pre-screening, national security threats, and gender equity in the industry. I was asked to participate in a panel discussion focusing on inclusive policies for trans and non-binary individuals which was particularly well received, sparking engaging conversations and inquiries post-event. ICTS also had the opportunity to showcase our work and innovations during a 10 minute presentation, receiving positive feedback and strengthening our industry presence. This event not only served as a platform for sharing best practices but also underscored the importance of continual collaboration and dialogue within the aviation community.”

ICTS UK and ASM were delighted to participate in the City Security Council’s initiative to change the perception of security and encourage unrepresented talent to join our industry. Thank you to our staff members who participated in the filming which took place back in May. In our last Newsletter we shared Agnieszka Chlewscka and Eni Ekpenyong’s interviews via the City Security Council’s LinkedIn page. Nana Jenkins based at Epsom & St. Helier University Hospitals NHS Trust also participated in the Council’s initiative.

HR & COMPLIANCE ANNUAL ISO ACCREDITATION AUDIT BY THE SII: The ISO audit took place in October and involved the visit of the auditor to several of our sites of operation, including: Aberdeen Airport, Heathrow Cargo Terminal, Stockley Park, CyrusOne, Eighty Strand and our London Head Office. We are delighted to have successfully passed the audit and in doing so have gained two new ISO standards: • ISO 45003 - Psychological Health & Safety at Work. • ISO 37001 - Anti-bribery Management Systems.

ICTS UK & Ireland was the first among more than 7,000 member organisations of the IQNet Quality Organisation to be audited and accredited for this new ISO 45003 standard! We also upgraded our ISO 27001 - Information Security standard to the new 2022 version. That is in addition to our existing ISO accreditations which cover the following topics: Quality, Environmental, Business Continuity, Information Security, Data Protection and Occupational Health & Safety.

I could see how much the teams enjoyed the time and the sharing of ideas with our auditor. These audits are essential for us to provide the very best standard of security to existing and future clients.” Chris Cox, Head of IT, ICTS UK & Ireland, said: “ICTS UK was the 3rd to be audited within the ICTS Europe Group (after Paris HQ & Italy) for this updated 27001 standard, so the pressure was on us to continue their successful run. Our DPO, Bilal Hussain, and I spent a considerable amount of time updating and re-writing our Information Security Management System (ISMS) documents so were confident we covered everything but you never really know until the day comes.

Hilary Curtis, Standards & Compliance Manager—ICTS UK & Ireland, said: “We are delighted to achieve this very important new ISO standard supporting mental health within our organisation, helping us to continue to build a positive working environment and a framework for managing psychological health and safety to improve our resilience and enhance engagement.”

Our auditor knows ICTS well and did a great job of challenging us to produce plenty of evidence of all the work everyone has been doing. We always learn a lot from him and it gives us a valuable insight into how things should (and do) work.” Many congratulations to all involved and thank you for your hard work which have made these accreditations possible.

CONGRATULATIONS TO OUR NEW HEALTH & SAFETY CHAMPIONS IN ICTS IRELAND ICTS Ireland has 62 new Health & Safety Champions from the North and South Clusters (Dublin area). The majority of our Champions have completed their DSE Awareness and Assessment Course and Drug and Alcohol awareness course and are ooking forward to completing the remaining courses which include Manual Handling Awareness and Health and Safety Induction Awareness. ENGAGEMENT UPDATE - WELLBEING INITIATIVES

Congratulations to our Team at ASM’s Alarm Receiving Centre (ARC) for successfully passing the NSI – National Security Inspectorate Gold audit on 19 October.

The following is an overview of recent activity around our National Awareness Day campaigns launched earlier in the year.

OCTOBER In October we highlighted Breast Cancer Awareness Month by sharing some guidance on signs and symptoms of the disease, including the video below:

CONGRATULATIONS, BRIAN O’SHAUGHNESSY Brian O’Shaughnessy, Business Continuity Manager, writes, “I recently completed the Advanced Professional Certificate in Investigative Practice (APCIP) - BTEC Level 7 qualification through Bond Solon and QA Associates. The Advanced Professional Certificate in Investigative Practice is regarded as the leading qualification for investigators within the public and private sectors. The aim of the qualification is to conduct investigations, internally or on behalf of our clients and across a wide remit of areas in line with established best practices. The course allows students to select the modules which are best suited to the industry they work within, along with some mandatory modules to gain the qualification and this is gained through 80 hours of guided learning and 5 post-course written assessments. The modules that I undertook for APCIP were Employment Law and Investigations / Investigative Interviewing / Law, Evidence, Procedure and Best Practice / Statement Report Writing /Courtroom Skills / Giving Evidence. The course was enjoyable and again demonstrates the commitment of ICTS UK & Ireland to continuous improvement within its procedures and processes.”

As part of our awareness campaign we shared two very personal stories of our colleagues, Faye Davidson (Head of HR) and Jo Johnson (HR Business Partner Projects) (overleaf). We take this opportunity to thank Faye and Jo for their contribution and support. Thank you also to our Teams from London HQ, Stockley Park , Bristol and Glasgow Airports who participated in a ‘Wear it Pink’ day to raise funds for breast cancer research.

*NEW* SAFETY CULTURE AWARDS

In November we highlighted the 'Movember' campaign.

ICTS UK & Ireland relies on the contribution of our hard-working and diligent staff to be recognised as unrivalled providers of a Safety Culture. We therefore have great pleasure to announce that we will be introducing the new ‘Safety Culture Awards’ in January 2024.

Movember is the leading global charity changing the face of men’s health. The charity highlights complex health issues facing men today: mental health, suicide, prostate cancer and testicular cancer. On average, men are dying 4.5 years earlier than women, and for largely preventable reasons. We want to do something about that. We encouraged staff to get involved and support the worthwhile charity.

DECEMBER In December some of our staff members will be participating in Christmas Jumper Day in aid of the ‘Save the Children’ charity.

There will be a quarterly Safety Culture Award and the winning nominee will receive a cash prize of £100 (net) or €100 if in the Republic of Ireland. This will also qualify you for an automatic nomination for the prestigious ‘Safety Culture of the Year Award’. The winner of which will be awarded £1,000 (net) or €1,000 if in the Republic of Ireland. It is the ongoing effort of our employees that makes such a difference to the safety of our staff and colleagues. I would very much like to thank you for your continued support in driving our positive safety culture here at ICTS.

NEW BUSINESS

EXCEL LONDON & ICTS REVEAL NEW CANINE DETECTION PARTNERSHIP TO FURTHER STRENGTHEN VENUE SECURITY ExCeL London, the capital’s largest event venue, and leading security company ICTS UK & Ireland have joined forces to further enhance the venue’s safety and security through its detection canine team. International Consultants on Targeted Security (ICTS) boast more than 35 years’ experience in the sector and are one of a handful of organisations accredited to NCTAS-P standards – a collaborative initiative between the Home Office, Counter Terrorism Policing and the National Protective Security Authority.

ICTS now works in partnership with ExCeL’s own security personnel to provide both specialist detection, and general purpose dogs across its extensive event portfolio, as well as its 100-acre campus.

ExCeL’s Head of Security Henry Havis, who also chairs the AEV’s Security Working Group, said: “The safety and security of everyone who comes to ExCeL London – be it event organisers, exhibitors, suppliers, staff or our four million annual visitors – remains our utmost importance. “Since ICTS joined the team here at ExCeL we’ve already seen even further benefits to our operations thanks to their experience, professionalism, and passion for what they do. They have seamlessly integrated themselves into our security team, along with our stakeholders, local residents and neighbouring businesses, to ensure we have an even better 360 approach to everyone’s wellbeing. We love having them as part of our team.”

NEWS FROM OUR CONTRACTS Andy Dodds, Divisional Director of Canine Services at ICTS, added: “We’re delighted to be a part of the ExCeL London team and to further enhance and develop their existing security measures. Despite it being a new partnership, we’ve been able to hit the ground running and have successfully overseen recent highprofile events such as the all-electric Formula E championship, and are looking forward to many more this year.”

NEW SECURITY SHIELD INITIATIVE INTRODUCED

Danielle Davies, Head of Compliance - Airports writes, “We are thrilled to unveil the Security Shield recognition programme, a newly launched endeavour at Heathrow that applauds our colleagues' unwavering commitment to security excellence. As we inaugurated the programme this October, six deserving individuals were honoured in the categories of vigilance, customer focus, innovation, and teamwork. Each was awarded the prestigious ICTS Security Shield pin badge, a certificate, and a voucher, symbolising our appreciation for their efforts. This initiative not only celebrates individual achievements but also reinforces our collective resolve to maintain a vigilant security mindset and nurture a culture that prioritises the safety and satisfaction of everyone we serve.”

RECRUITMENT DRIVES AT BRISTOL & LONDON HEATHROW AIRPORTS

Sam Flook, ICTS Operational Development Manager at Bristol Airport writes, “We are currently undergoing a recruitment campaign in readiness for the Next Generation Security Checkpoint project, due to start in December. The project is planned through three phases until the entirety of our Central Search Area is transformed to CT X-Rays and Security Scanners. As part of this drive, the administration team is visiting lots of jobs fairs and holding events of our own. We are also starting an advertising campaign showing the attached poster on billboards around Bristol.”

At London Heathrow Airport, with a drive to recruit locally we took out a large billboard advert on display near the airport campus.

WORDS OF RECOGNITION

Many congratulations to Security Agent, John Kennelly who was commended by United Airlines for the assistance provided to an out-of-service aircraft at Dublin Airport. The aircraft suffered technical issues and required maintenance. John assisted the engineers over a number of days while they fixed the problems. The following is an extract from an email from the Airline to Graham Clare, ICTS Station Manager at Dublin Airport. “If you could pass on a massive special thanks to our escort John from ICTS, this guy was fantastic and was sorting out steps, ground runs, Airport ID’s, tow-tractor and driver amongst other things and was a massive assistance to us, went well above and beyond and nothing seemed to faze him.”

JETBLUE AWARDS FLIGHT TICKET

JetBlue at London Heathrow Airport held a raffle for ICTS employees in appreciation and for the dedicated service delivered by our staff over the busy summer months. The lucky winner of the raffle, prize of which was a flight ticket, was Security Agent, Meena Ravrani.

Many congratulations to our colleagues Parmjit Matharu, Silvia De Melo, Sultan Rajpoot and JK Dhuffar who have been praised by Delta Air Lines. The following is an extract from an email sent from the Airline representative to our Team at ICTS London Heathrow Airport. “I would like to thank all the team for outstanding work and performance at this gate and for brilliant team work. The help that everyone provided has been extremely beneficial. I truly appreciated all the extra effort everyone has put together!”

Many congratulations to our team working with United at London Heathrow Airport - The following is an extract from an email received by the airline: “If you could please pass and express our gratitude to the staff working the lobby yesterday. It was challenging day and they came tops in dealing with it. I noticed how they worked as a team in assisting us to arrange bags , and then help us dispatch them. Keep up the good work.”

Many congratulations to our team at London Heathrow Airport! The following is an extract from an email sent from Virgin Atlantic Airways to Virinder Singh, Senior Divisional Director Aviation - UK & Ireland. “A quick note to thank you and your team for providing a very professional and impressive support of our SAF flight activities this morning and last Friday. Your team were on their game throughout on the ramp, at the aircraft door and at the secondary search area. This was noted, commented on and much appreciated by our Senior Leaders and our guest alike. The intent to provide additional level of assurance to all was achieved, thank you. I said to Johnathan, as the aircraft pushed back from the gate, that I was very impressed with what I had seen, and this level of professionalism and attention to detail should be considered the benchmark. Finally a quick shout out to Mistry for his management and professionalism on Friday in ensuring the smooth visit of numerous press and media to the Hanger; he is a credit to you and ICTS.”

OFFICIAL OPENING OF NEW RUNWAY EXTENSION AT SOUTHAMPTON AIRPORT

We were delighted to join Aviation Minister Baroness Vere and Southampton Airport’s Leadership Team on Thursday 21 September to officially mark the opening of Southampton Airport’s runway extension.

The extended runway will enhance connectivity and unlock opportunities for both business and leisure travel, ensuring the airport's sustainability for years to come. As Southampton Airport’s security provider, we look forward to supporting the Airport’s business strategy.

ICTS EUROPE AVIATION SUPERVISOR COURSE FOR TSA-REGULATED AIRLINE SECURITY LONDON (2-6 OCTOBER)

Monica Zottarelli and Enno Geissler from ICTS Europe’s PQCT Department held a Supervisor course at London Heathrow between 2 and 6 October 2023. The course focused on Professional Skills, Management, and Leadership. ICTS staff from five different Airports around Europe attended the course, including four staff members from London Gatwick and London Heathrow Airports Alice Hall (London Gatwick Airport), Madeline Dalley (London Gatwick Airport), Jason Martin (London Heathrow Airport) and Sindu Sukumaran (London Heathrow Airport).

TRAINING FOR DUBLIN AIRPORT’S T1 & T2 TEAM

“In October 2023, the Hold Baggage Screeners (HBS) who were working in Terminal 2, transferred to the ICTS family and joined our HBS Team at Dublin Airport. One month after the start of the new T2 HBS contract, it’s a pleasure to see both teams working together in unity, keeping all the hold baggage at Dublin Airport safe and secure. This amazing accomplishment wouldn’t have been possible without the hard work of our HBS Supervisors, who now are being re-trained to establish common standards and procedures” wrote Clara Liebstaedter, Aviation Security Instructor ASTO— ICTS Ireland.

READ PROTECTUK’S ARTICLE ON THE SUCCESS OF OUR CANINE SECURITY DIVISION

NEWS FROM EPSOM & ST. HELIER UNIVERISTY HOSPITALS NHS TRUST

Paul Chubb (Contract Manager at Epsom and St. Helier University Hospitals, NHS Trust) writes, “We issue an Employee of the Month award every month. Last month (October) the award was won by Shani Baldwin and Luke Overy for their outstanding work in dealing with a violent and self-harming mental health patient who was attempting to cause harm to themselves by running into the main road outside St Helier. Shani and Luke dealt with the patient three times within two hours, each time having to restrain the patient. During the restraints, the patient was also trying to harm themselves by banging the front and back of their head on the floor on several separate occasions during each restraint. The restraints were witnessed by several members of staff including our Client who provided positive feedback and complimented both Luke and Shani for how they dealt with the patient on each occasion.”

ICTS leads the way as another Explosive Detection Dog Team successfully passes the National Canine Training and Accreditation for Private Security (NCTAS-P) for the third consecutive year.

NEW ICTS PUPPIES—AN UPDATE

“CHASE has been doing well and is really settled in the busy environments that we work in and he is very popular with everyone. He has started some very basic search fundamentals from a passive indication training to proactively searching for a Kong. He also came on a training week with me to Police Scotland where he met everyone and showed further reliance in brandnew environments” - Bill Lewis, ICTS Handler.

OBI “Puppy Obi has just turned 6-months-old, and he has been in my care since the beginning of September. Since this time Obi has come to work with me every day alongside my 2 Explosives Detection Dogs (EDD) dogs Bonnie and Eire. I take the opportunity whilst working my licensed dogs to get Obi out and about at the different venues and events, as there is always something new for him to learn and explore. Since being with me, Obi has been exposed to every type of environmental training he will need, imperative to his future career as an Explosives Detection Dog, and for him to make it through his police course once he turns a year old.

Obi has just started the foundations of the ‘search’ already showing promise, as he now searches for kong hidden in and around vehicles, and areas/rooms. His indication is developing and he has good drive to search, all for his beloved ball as his reward.

Obi has been fortunate enough to be invited onto war ships, attend several red carpet events, he is a regular at Arsenal FC, has travelled to Aberdeen to the Police Scotland Exercise, and very recently has had the honour of meeting HRH The Princess Royal at the Security Institute Annual Conference. The amount Obi has seen and experienced in the short time I’ve had him is outstanding, and more than some dogs see in their entire career. But it is something I believe will hold him in good stead for his future, and therefore it is worth the effort to give him all this exposure. Obi has a cheeky nature, and a lovable charm which means crowds start to form whenever we go out for a walk at any of our venues, as no one seems able to resist an Obi cuddle. He is a little pocket rocket, able to run at speed, and certainly keeps me on my toes. He is also a regular on LinkedIn, with his ‘pupdates’.

Developing a puppy is something I have thoroughly enjoyed. For those that have raised puppies you will know it is hard work, but to see him grow, learn, and experience new things is a joy, and I cannot wait to see his journey unfold going forward, and hopefully in 6 months time he will be ready to start his EDD training and license as another NCTAS-P dog, out and about keeping people safe” - Kerry Hodder, ICTS Handler.

SAFETY WEEK AT LONDON HEATHROW AIRPORT (6-10 NOVEMBER 2023)

“This year’s LHR Safety Week went extremely well. It covered several subjects, and the week was spread across all of the Heathrow Terminals - landside and airside. Both ICTS H&S Support Managers, June Tyson and Olu Olojo-Kosoko attended the events throughout the week. They were greatly supported by many of our Heathrow-based Managers, Health & Safety Champions and their colleagues. The week offered a great opportunity for ICTS colleagues to meet with the wider aviation community. There were some great stalls on show, with some good winter, health and wellbeing tips provided as well as new PPE on display and even some with virtual reality. It was a great week and thank you to all who helped plan and attended” wrote Phil Linford, Business Assurance Dept.

“The ICTS Safety Team of Olu Olojo-Kosoko (Corporate) and myself were out in full force throughout the week to lend our support to the Heathrow Team who organised the event and to be on site for our ICTS staff members who attended this annual event. Dedicated stalls showcased various bodies involved in airport activities, like Border Force, Highways England, APCOA car parking, Pex Bus Service, and Police Service, all dispensing helpful advice and information like how to avoid scammers to tips for keeping your vehicles in tip top condition this winter. Stall goodie bags and items were given to all show visitors from sweets, pens, keyrings, ice scrapers etc Everyone who attended was invited to complete the Heathrow Giveaway Airport Quiz. The value of the prize was dependent on how many correct answers were given. Clues were hidden in posters on display. Questions included: the main cause of injuries in the airport (answer: surprise Slip, Trips and Falls) and where does one find the emergency number at the airport and why do we report accidents? There were fun activities too like an Escape room which T4 staff fully participated in. CP24 were fully taken with the virtual reality headset on road safety and winter machinery that helped the airport running safely during bad weather. Promotion of the Heathrow Community App was denoted as the best way to keep up-to-date with the latest developments and weather at the Airport. The information overleaf was also shared on how to avoid scams.”

WELCOMING NEW STAFF Chris Lane—Divisional Director, Corporate Security “Hi Everyone, my name is Chris Lane and I am the new Divisional Director for Corporate Security. I have been in the Security Industry for 25 years, starting off in Human Resources before transferring to the operational side of the business. I have worked for companies such as First Security, VSG and most recently spending 10 years at Securitas, the last 6 years as the Area Director for London before joining ICTS on 1 October. I believe the 3 pillars to success in the industry are: Service Excellence, Client Centricity and lastly and most importantly, People, for whom I have a huge passion…..maybe the start in HR embedded that in to me! To that end, I look forward to meeting all of you over the coming months and working with all of you in the future. Outside of work, I live in Loughton in Essex with my wife and 2 amazing daughters. I don’t have many hobbies left as I get older and my daughters take up a lot of my time, especially the taxi service part but, I am a huge sports fan with football being at the top of that list and I am a keen supporter of Tottenham Hotspur. I also really enjoy running and in particular the endurance part. I have completed events such as Tough Mudder, Hellrunner & Nuclear Assault so look out for when I am searching for willing participants! Adam Kane—Bid and Business Process Manager “Hello all, I’m Adam Kane, and I joined ICTS in the new position of Bid and Business Process Manager on 20 November. Prior to joining ICTS, I spent the majority of the past 25 -odd years working for legal and financial services organisations in the UK, the US, and offshore on projects and programmes designed to improve their research, regulatory/compliance structures, and BD/Bid processes, and I look forward to putting that experience to good use for ICTS. Obviously, I look forward to meeting as many of you two-legged employees as possible. However, as I grew up in a household that bred springer spaniels specifically as bomb/drug detection dogs, you can guess which four-legged employees I’m most looking forward to meeting! Beginning with a professional cricket career that took me to New Zealand, South Africa, and the Caribbean, I’ve been fortunate enough to work in over 30 countries across four continents - and exploring new places remains a priority. Other than that, I tend to spend my time spoiling friend’s dogs, spending far too much time in front of computer screens, and (being a sucker for punishment and for watching a loss snatched from the jaws of victory) supporting Ferrari in F1, Essex in cricket, Spurs in football, and ‘Quins in Rugby.”

“Howdy! My name is Chantelle Morris and I started with the business on the 23rd October 2023 as the HR Business Partner covering Aviation England. My journey in HR started in 2011 in Facilities Management from where the bulk of my HR experience stems. Within FM I covered various areas such as Healthcare, Manufacturing, Corporate, Public Sector, Retail and dipped my toe into Transport. Ever curious, (or nosey), I wanted to challenge myself in environments outside of FM and have worked as a HR professional within Higher Education, Leisure, Housing and a Mental Health Charity.

I have received a really warm welcome to the business, and I hope to be able to understand “how we do things around here” and impart some knowledge on areas of improvement to support Operations and help build high performing teams. My interests are gym, eating (I can’t go for long without this!), and reading a good book! My current read is “Essentialism: The Disciplined Pursuit of Less” by Greg McKeown. I’m from South Africa, this is where my HR career started in 2008 within the Private Medical Healthcare Industry. In 2015 I immigrated to Qatar and spent 5 years there, finally immigrating in 2020 to my forever home - the UK.

“I joined ICTS in September after having worked in risk management for State authorities in Ireland for nearly three years. I was involved in a variety of work environments from waterways to prisons. A significant part of what interests me in a role is a variety in the work environments and the hazards involved; this is why the role initially interested me. So far in this role, I’ve had the opportunity to work in challenging environments such as data centres and airports. Everyone has been very supportive of me and my role throughout all the locations. My goal with ICTS is to make a significant and lasting impact on health and safety across the sites in Ireland, implementing and improving where I can.

In my spare time I enjoy outdoor activities such as horse riding and scuba diving. You’ll always find me outside when the sun is out.”

Chloe Mootham - Handler (FREDDS) “Hello, I’m Chloe Mootham, 29, I’ve just joined ICTS Canine services at the start of November 2023 and I will be joining the FREDDs team. Working with dogs has been a lifelong dream of mine since I was a child, and I am so grateful for the opportunity to join this great team. I’ve always had dogs in my life whilst growing up and I’m lucky to have two cocker spaniels of my own named Bramble and Bracken. I’ve recently left the Armed Forces after 12 years of service, where I have had the chance to travel to exciting new places and been given the opportunities to see and experience things I never thought I would. I’m excited to start this new chapter and I look forward to meeting everyone.”

Outside of work, I have a variety of interests. I recently suffered heartbreak at the hands of New Zealand in the rugby world cup quarter-finals (anyone following the English team might have similar feelings) but my home team Connacht, have just started their 2023/2024 campaign. Every year since 2011 (barring the covid years) I travel to The Lake District, England to go hiking; that is where I am in my photo. Every day I complete the New York Times’ Wordle and Mini Crossword.”

“I left Mauritius in 1991 and worked as a warehouse operative before joining ICTS in 2003.

I began my career with ICTS in Sept 1998 as an operative in Hold Baggage Screening. I progressed to a Team Leader, Supervisor, Shift Controller Account Manager and now Contracts Manager for London Gatwick Airport.

I began with ICTS as an Hold Baggage Screening (HBS) Agent and in 2015 I was promoted to a HBS Supervisor.

I assisted in opening Cambridge Airport in 2013 for ICTS and have worked at various locations assisting ICTS including Bristol, Belfast, Aberdeen and Glasgow Airports.

There have been times when I have worked at other airports to support our ICTS colleagues. Working for ICTS is a joy and like being a family’.

I can’t believe how quick the time has passed and am proud to work and promote ICTS.”

I then joined ICTS and have mainly worked in Hold Baggage Screening as an Xray operative. I have assisted my fellow colleagues and other airports during my time with ICTS.

During my service with ICTS I have had great pleasure of working with some exceptional people in both management and work floor. MEET OUR HEAD OF SALES FOR ASM

What is your favourite pastime? I am a huge follower of Football and Boxing and try to attend when I can. My most memorable night was watching the Heavyweight World Boxing Title Unification Fight in Madison Square Garden, New York. Most Sunday mornings I can be found on the sidelines, cheering on my daughter who plays in goal for our Local Under 13s football team. What has been your greatest achievement?

ADAM LODGE When did you join ICTS? I joined ICTS in February 2022. What do you enjoy most of your job? I have always enjoyed working within the security industry and over the years have been lucky enough to work in some fantastic places and meet some amazing people, that you generally wouldn’t have the opportunity to meet with other roles. I am fortunate to work with a great team at ASM and have really enjoyed seeing the positive progress we are making as combined Electronic Security and Monitoring business. What key attributes make someone successful in your role? A passion for success, commitment, and having a clear strategy to achieve your goals. Within a security sales environment, Key attributes for success are organisational skills, listening, empathy, and confident communication alongside having the mindset to embrace change. As a parent, seeing my oldest son graduate from university, and my youngest son complete his apprenticeship and land his dream Job. My daughter is making great progress to become the next Mary Earps, but no pressure. � If you weren’t a Sales specialist, what type of career would you choose? I would love to run my own business after building an impressive collection of craft gins. I have always wanted to try my hand at distilling my own and creating a new start-up.

The Customer Service Star scheme runs alongside our Employee(s) of the Quarter/Year scheme. The scheme has been established to recognise those employees who deliver excellent customer service to such a level that a client or a member of the public takes the trouble to write/post a commendation about the service delivered. This scheme goes a small way to say thank you and recognises all those very important customer service interventions by many of our employees. Employees are asked to email a copy of the feedback to our HR Team—hr@icts.co.uk.

THE EMPLOYEE OF THE QUARTER SCHEME

A reminder about the scheme: we will allow a maximum of 3 winners from our Aviation Division and 3 winners from the Corporate Division, with no minimum number of winners being required. Each winner will receive a sum of £/€500. Should we not have a total of 6 winners in a quarter, the excess funding will be placed in a pot and will be allocated to the Employee of the Year’s charity of choice. We are looking for employees who have done something exceptional that is worthy of recognition. Nominations should also be limited to those staff below the level of Site/Station Manager. Nominations are to be sent via email to: eom.nominations@icts.co.uk together with any supporting documents. Please note that the deadline for submissions for each quarter is as follows:

EMPLOYEES OF THE 3rd QUARTER FROM OUR CORPORTATE DIVISION: CHILEEKA BRAIDEN, STEPHEN BROWN, MARIO FUIANO & TREVOR COLE Congratulations to our Employees of the Quarter—all of whom are from Corporate: Chileeka Braiden, Stephen Brown, Mario Fuiano and Trevor Cole who are based at American Express (AMEX) . The Team was on duty one night when a member of the public came to the AMEX’s reception area asking for help. The team soon realised that the individual was badly wounded and they swiftly administered first aid whilst calling the emergency services. The man had been stabbed in an attempted mugging. The team worked together following strict protocols, providing valuable assistance to the Police. The ambulance service confirmed that the quick actions of our team had saved the victim’s life.

MARIO “A massive thank you to Amex and ICTS for all the support and recognition and also to my colleagues who were on duty that night of the incident. I was very impressed and pleased by how quickly we pulled it together as a team and acted upon a very unusual situation that resulted in a life being saved. I am truly proud of all of you and to be part of such an amazing team.”

ICTS is delighted to sponsor new football team, Holbrook Olympic, in Horsham, 10 miles south of London Gatwick Airport. The new team came as a result of a merger between two long-standing football clubs: Holbrook FC (formed in 2007, previously known as Sunallon FC formed in 1967) and Horsham Olympic, (formed in 1959). Both teams had been struggling post Covid to attract new players and with their grounds being just half a mile a part the merger seemed sensible. Holbrook Olympic has two teams in the West Sussex league, which is very close to our ICTS site of operation at London Gatwick Airport. The new kits also promote breast cancer and prostate cancer awareness. The first game with the new kit saw an emphatic 11-1 win for the first team.

MACMILLAN COFFEE MORNING HELD BY ICTS AT SOUTHAMPTON AIRPORT.

What a fantastic Macmillan coffee morning we had at Southampton Airport. Emily Grinyer arranged every single detail with airport staff and Costa donating cakes. The Airport kindly allowed us use of the Spitfire room on the concourse, to hold the event and passengers thoroughly enjoyed relaxing and chatting with staff. We raised £476.00. Two ICTS Officers, Amanda Hooker (cancer survivor) and David Marsh also wanted to Brave the Shave for Macmillan Cancer. The Airport again kindly allowed us to section an area of the concourse so passengers and staff could watch both have their hair shaved. David brought along his hairdresser Nicky and Amanda trusted the Station Manager, Mandy Grinyer, to cut her hair…..they brought the concourse to a standstill and raised £1,376.60 collectively. The total amount raised so far: £1852.60 . Fantastic cause raising money for those that have won, those that we have lost and those that are still fighting. Big thank you to ICTS and Southampton Airport staff, Costa and ESS for supporting our cause.

RECRUITMENT AND VETTING TEAM AT STOCKLEY

The Sheraton Skyline Hotel near London Heathrow Airport treated our Recruitment and Vetting Team to lunch on 6 November. The ICTS Team uses the Hotel’s premises at least 3 times a month for Recruitment Days.

CONGRATULATIONS TO DAVID MCCOSKRIE

David McCoskrie, Security Team Manager at Glasgow Airport writes, “I took on the challenge of a charity bike ride starting in London and finishing in Paris – in aid of raising funds for Action Medical Research, a charity that does so much to help young babies and children. We left Crystal Palace park in London on a wet Wednesday morning, heading out towards the Kent countryside. The first drama of the day was a puncture for one of the guys in my small group but we all pulled together (and got our hands very manky) getting it fixed. Job done and as the day went on we dried out as it brightened up, and we ventured south towards Dover where we had a celebratory beer after completing the first 87 miles. However, we were premature in thinking the challenges of the day were done – The 3 miles from the Calais ferry terminal to our hotel for the first night was ridden in the most torrential rain I’ve ever experienced – we struggled to see a few metres in front of us and unfortunately many of us crashed while navigating tram lines that had turned incredibly slippery. There were a few bruised knees, elbows and egos as we arrived at the hotel. Day 2 saw us setting off from Calais – heading 77 miles south towards the city of Arras. This was our first taste of the beautiful French countryside and sleepy French farming villages. A dry warm day was a welcome change from the previous day’s conditions and things went smoothly until we reached our destination. Arriving into the Arras region we began to see a lot of war graves and commemorations from both WW1 & WW2. The rest of the day was spent with a couple of beers and dinner at our hotel. Day 3 was really into the thick of the challenge with some steep climbs to test our legs as we made our way to Compiegne. Again, good weather made the day slightly more bearable! The landscape we moved through on this day was deep in the heart of where some of the most infamous battles of WW1 were fought. We stopped off to pay our respects at Thiepval War Memorial, then a few miles further down the road we cycled through the Somme Valley – the area of the largest battle of WW1. After that we cycled on to complete the 80 miles for the day into Compiegne.

The final day started off with a surprisingly cold morning for France in the middle of summer. Our hands were numb for the first few miles as we warmed up! Thankfully that day was a pretty flat cycle through some more stunning French countryside and passing a couple of impressive Chateaus en-route. The day warmed up nicely and we rode at a relatively easy pace as we knew the last 10 miles of the 60 miles for the day was going to be chaos battling the hectic Parisian traffic. That certainly proved interesting as we wound our way through the outskirts towards the city centre! Amazingly to our surprise we got an incredibly warm welcome as we entered the heart of Paris, cars and vans were beeping to welcome us and as we rode down the Champs-Elysée passers by stopped and clapped us! We then swung round to finish underneath the Eiffel Tower with a glass of champagne. We had completed the challenge and I managed to raise over £2800 (thanks in part to a generous donation from ICTS) and collectively the group raised over £128,000.”
