Dear leaders of the FIPSed member federations, Dear anglers, Following up the communication of WHO, that declared the COVID-19 as pandemic, this Federation has contacted the organizers of the Feeder Fishing World Championship for Clubs and of the Coarse Angling World Championships for Disabled, Veterans and Masters for assessing the possibility to postpone these championships. Finally, we agreed for the following dates: 1) Feeder Fishing World Championship for Club, scheduled in Bulgaria on 30th and 31th May in Plovdiv - Canal Rowing – is shifted to 24th and 25th October 2020; 2) Disabled, Veterans and Masters Coarse Angling World Championship, scheduled in Slovenia on 6th and 7th June in Radece - Sava River – is shifted to 16th and 17th October 2020. As to the Carnivorous Artificial Baits Shore Angling World Championship, scheduled in Portugal on April 25 and 26, the organizers would be available for holding it in September, but this championship needs a competition venue with an adequate stream and volume of water, which we cannot grant for that period of the year. Therefore, we will take care of sending you our decisions as soon as we will be able to do it. As to the Championships scheduled after the date of June 15, they are actually confirmed but we reserve the possibility of future modifications, which might be needed for the pandemic developments. We apologize for all the inconveniences, but the health of us all and the protection of more vulnerable persons must be our first priority. Best regards.
