How to modernize your résumé
The difficulty many businesses are having in regard finding qualified applicants can be seen as a great opportunity by skilled professionals looking for a new job. Qualified job seekers can take advantage of the lack of competition to land their dream jobs. Prior to beginning a new job search, seasoned professionals might want to consider some strate gies to modernize their résumés and improve their chances of finding a dream job.
professionals and recruiters are only spending a few seconds scanning each résumé, applicants will want to keep job descriptions short and sweet. Condense responsibilities into bullet points, ideally using just a single line for each point. Avoid listing too many bullet points for each job, as that could affect the likelihood that the résumé will get more than a passing glance.
• Remove outdated information.
The online jobs resource Indeed notes that seasoned professionals who have been with their current employers for more than five years can remove certain sections on a résumé. Sections like internships, awards received early in a career, volunteer gigs from years ago, and pre-college educational background do not need to be listed on experi enced professionals’ résumés.
Since the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic more than two years ago, businesses, especially small firms, have struggled to find employees to fill vacancies within their companies.
Now could be a good time for ex perienced professionals to look for a new job. The first step in a successful job search could be modernizing a résumé to more closely reflect where candidates are in their careers.
Remembering and Saluting the courage and compassion of all the Americans who have contributed to the 11, 2001
• Reconsider your résumé tem plate. If it’s been awhile since you looked for a new job, chances are strong the design of your résumé could be viewed as outdated. Fairly

• Consider depth of field. Some times you will have no control over the busy background an interesting subject is in front of in a planned photograph. A shallow depth of field achieved with a wide aperture can blur a background and separate the subject from that background, according to Shotkit, a photog raphy and gear authority. Some post-production work also can be done to blur backgrounds in apps like Lightroom or through Photoshop.•Zoomin and crop subjects. Smaller pictures can be just as compelling as larger ones. Zoom in on the bark on a tree, the skin of a lizard or the wings of an insect. Closer looks at what is hiding in plain sight in nature can lead to compelling pictures. Zoom in and think about a macro lens, which will magnify even the tiniest details.
• Invest in quality gear. The right photography gear makes it much easier to take great photos. Lenses are very important for capturing shots. Macro lenses are designed for insects and flowers. Wide-angle lenses help snap landscapes. Telephoto lenses can focus on animals without having to get too close.

• Study what you want to cap ture. The best photographers do their research. If you want to grab a great photo of an egret by the water’s edge, spend time watching these birds in their hab itat and learning their behaviors. This might help you predict when to snap the best photo.

• Use light wisely. The photog raphy resource Expert Photogra phy recommends taking photos primarily during the golden hours. These are right after sunrise and just before sunset. The light during these times of day has a softer, hazy quality that will illuminate subjects evenly and less harshly than midday, when shadows also may pose challenges. Taking photos during these times also means fewer people around and a better chance that wildlife will be out andNatureabout.photography is wildly popular and there are many ways for amateur photographers to make their photos pop.
Amateur photographers eager to capture the majesty of the great outdoors can practice their picture-taking skills. According to the photography tips and technique experts at Picture Cor rect, many factors are involved in taking nature photographs. These tips can help anyone take stunning nature photos.
