† DEAN Greg Michael Dean Sr., age 67 of Ionia, passed away on August 27, 2021. Greg was born on December 22, 1953,
the son of Harold and Mary (Magee) Dean in Ionia. On October 8, 1982, he married the love of his life, Joyce. Greg had a love for hunting, fishing and gardening. He also loved spending time with his family and grandchildren. He is survived by his loving wife of 38 years, Joyce of Ionia; children, Greg Dean Jr. of Ionia and Sarah (Arturo) Martinez of Grand Rapids; sister, Shirlene Beager; and grandchildren, Caleb Castillo-Dean, Mekeila Dean, Tristan Dean, Treas Dean, Estella Martinez, Greg Dean III and Luna Martinez. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Larry Dean; and in-laws, Calvin and Charlotte Cooper. A Celebration of life will be held September 11th from 1:00-5:00 PM at Sheridan VFW 209 Washington St. Sheridan, MI 48884. Arrangements in care of Lake Funeral Home in Ionia. † DOLLARHITE Steven Dollarhite age 63 of Clarksville, MI went to be with his Lord after suffering from cancer on August 25, 2021, surrounded by loving family in his final days. He was born on June 24, 1958 in Lansing, MI, the son of Larry and Laverne (Keener) Dollarhite. Steven married Elaine Kimball on November 1, 1996. He was a hard worker and willing to help someone in need. He enjoyed music, motorcycles and collecting old knives and tools. He also enjoyed telling stories of growing up in the high mountains of North Carolina. He will be missed by family and friends. His favorite scripture was John 10:27-30. Surviving is his loving wife, Elaine Dollarhite of Clarksville, MI; children, Nichole (Mark) Heading, James (Heather) Woodrick, Ruthann Woodrick (Ceaser), Rachael (Joshua) Stoddard, Steven (Elizabeth) Dollarhite, Enoch Dollarhite and Janie Dollarhite; grandchildren, Dylan, Cole, Austin, Delilah, Aria, Levi, Boston, Payton, Noah and Autumn; brother Jeff Dollarhite and nephews, Kyle Dollarhite and Aaron Dollarhite. He was born June 3, 1947 in Battle Creek the son of Ray Wilman and Donna Maxine (Marsh) Owens. Terry attended Ionia Public Schools graduating with the class of 1965. He then joined the United States Marine Corp serving during the Vietnam War as a Corporal. Terry was a member of the American Legion and former member of the Ionia Moose Lodge. He loved to do crossword puzzles, watch any sport, listen to music and play games on his computer. He worked for the original Meijer Thrifty Acres in Ionia, Oldsmobile in Lansing, Department of Corrections, Ionia Bowling Alley, Ionia County Road Commission, Barker Heating and Air Conditioning with his father and brother and then Ionia Loyal Order of the Moose as Administrator and the Ionia Walmart Maintenance. Surviving Terry are his children; Kenyon (JamieLea) Owens of Jacksonville, North Carolina, Stuart (Melissa) Owens of Ionia and Jaime Owens of Crystal. Siblings Carole (Raymond) Sanocki of Ionia, Claire Crutts of Owosso, Patricia (John) Cherpes of Ionia, Debra (David) Montgomery of Ionia and James (Patricia) Owens of Ionia. 16 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. Many Nieces and Nephews, great nieces and nephews and extended family. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother-in-law Richard Crutts and Sister-in-law Stephanie Owens. Cremation has taken place and there will be Graveside Memorial Services at Easton Cemetery Saturday, September 11, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. followed by Military Honors. Richard had his own bookkeeping business serving many local businesses in and around Columbus, Ohio for over 20 years. Richard was a great bowler and played in the Senior Professional Bowling League, loved playing poker with STEVEN’S HANDYMAN SERhis friends, and enjoyed time with his family. Richard and Elsa moved to Asheville, NC to help take VICE - general Repairs 616care of their grandchildren and Richard worked for the Grove Park Inn for many years, serving as 902-3001. a concierge and he and Elsa playing Santa and Mrs. Claus for guests and visitors for many years POR 15 Rust preventative each Christmas. Richard and Elsa later retired and returned to Columbus where they enjoyed many paint, oxygen, acetylene, friends. Books and Blankets Fall is always a super busy time for families, so how about taking some time to come to the library and enjoy a storytime together! Books and Blankets is our outdoor storytime on the first Thursday of every month at 6:00 pm on the library lawn.
