Susan Jane (Smith) Raimer passed away peacefully in the loving arms of Jesus on July 8, 2021. She was preceded in death by her parents, Edwin and Elaine Smith; father-in-law, George Raimer; brother, Darwin; and sister, Rosemary Smith. Sue is survived by her husband of 42 years, George; children, Tricia (Stephen) Yonker, Mandi Raimer, Becky (Andrew) Hauck, Tom Raimer; grandchildren, Xavier (Yvette) Yonker, Zach, Tori, Titus Yonker; great-grandchildren, Zane and Arya Yonker; mother-in-law, Patricia Raimer; brother, Terry (Sue) Smith; brothers-in-law, Rick (Lori) Raimer, Gary (Lesa) Raimer, and several nieces and nephews. Sue received her Associates Degree from Davenport College. She was a full-time mother and a part-time Independent Mary Kay Consultant. She was proud to be a part of Ms. Wheelchair Michigan and was active in the Lowell/Saranac communities, especially with First Baptist Church of Lowell. Sue loved camping, sewing, bird watching and playing card games with her grandkids. In spite of being a paraplegic for over 33 years and the challenges that came with it, she was an inspiration to all and will be greatly missed. Visitation was held at First Baptist Church of Lowell, 2275 West Main Street, Lowell, Michigan, on Wednesday, July 14, 2021, from 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM. Funeral services were held on Thursday, July 15, 2021, at 11 AM at First Baptist Church of Lowell, with visitation one hour prior. Interment Pinckney Cemetery. Pastor Phil Severn officiated. Donald La Vern Badder, 64 of Ionia passed away Saturday June 26, 2021, at Sparrow Hospital in Lansing surrounded by family. Donnie was born in Stanwood July 31, 1956. Donnie is survived by his children Tenille (Lucas) Lucier of Sheridan, Brandon Badder (Heather Hoppough), Jason (Kristina) Fox of Ionia, Tonya (Larry) Lucier of Sheridan, his true love Carolyn Fox of Ionia. His Mother Ruth Badder of Ionia, his siblings Mary Badder of Belding, Kenny (Windy) Badder, Lisa (Steve) Lahr, Michael Badder, Robert (Ashley) Badder all of Ionia. Grandchildren Savannah (Denny), Riley, Taylor, Morgan, Alyssah, Hunter, Connor, Kameron, Garret, Mason and Kassen. Great grandson Trenton. Many nieces and nephews. Donnie was proceeded in death by his father Kenneth Burt Badder , his Mother and Father in-law Diana and Bud Fox and brother –in– law Clarence Fox. After a long-fought battle with Osteoarthritis and other heath issues. Linda Clements has passed at the age of 60 years old. She was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Roger and A. Yvonne Clements, her grandparents, and several special aunts and uncles. Linda is survived by her loving siblings, Judy (George) McDonald, Gary (Kim) Clements and Laura Clements. She is also survived by several cherished nieces and nephews and grandniece and nephews, As well as some very special aunts, uncles and cousins. Linda Devoted her life to teaching. After substitute teaching throughout Ionia and Montcalm counties in the early 80’s, she got her first teaching contract with Coon School, a rural 2-room schoolhouse in Ionia. From there she went on to work as program manager and then program supervisor at EBI Breakthrough in Belding. She then returned to teaching. She received a contract with Grand Rapids Public Schools where she taught students with severe cognitive and emotional impairments and severe behavioral challenges at Lincoln School for 27 years. Linda loved teaching, and considered all of her students to be her “kids”. Linda’s most favorable times in her life were spent with her family and friends at the cottage and teaching her “kids”.
