– OBITUARIES –

† HOLCOMB David Holcomb, age 75, of Clarksville, Michigan passed away on Sunday, March 17, 2024 at his home. Dave was born on March 28, 1948 in Ionia, Michigan to JB and Sylvia Holcomb. Dave served in the US Army and worked as a well driller for many years. Friends and family will always remember how Dave could make them laugh and the joy that laughter brought to him. On September 15, 2018 he married Merry Heaven in her backyard. He will be dearly missed by; wife Merry, son Tom Erring, daughter Jennifer Mapes, brothers Gary (Mary) Holcomb and Randy (Christine) Holcomb, many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Preceding Dave in death are his parents and brother Ken Holcomb. According to his wishes cremation has taken place and a celebration of his life will be held at the home at a later date.

† MEYERS Nola Eileen (Scott) Meyers, age 100, of Saranac, MI passed away peacefully on March 15, 2024. She was born March 23, 1923 the daughter of Ed and Bertha (Lewis) Scott. Nola was a life long resident of Saranac, MI. She was diagnosed at 5 years old with Osteomyelitis, a bone infection. Where a portion of her left arm was removed. She attended Saranac Community Schools where she was President of her graduating Class of 1941. Nola married Arden Meyers on February 14, 1942. Together they had 5 children. Over the course of her life she worked in Ionia at AC Spark Plugs during World War II with her childhood best friend, Carol Brooks. Later, retiring from Revco Pharmacy. She attended Saranac Community Church and was a member of the Saranac Garden Club, the “Dirt Diggers”. Nola loved to spend time with her family. She enjoyed gardening, cooking, baking and traveling with her close friends.

A funeral service will be held 11:00 am, Tuesday, March 19, 2024, at Lake Funeral Home in Saranac with Mr. Alan MacDonald officiating. The visitation will be Monday 5-7 pm at the funeral home. WHAT IS EPOXY RESIN?

Individuals who like science and chemistry are bound to enjoy working with resin.
