HOME SWEET HOME

They say, “home is where the heart is,” and those words ring true to me when I think about my love for Arizona.

I was born in the beautiful Sonoran Desert, and I have had the privilege of calling the 48th state my home for my entire life. From Surprise to Gilbert, Peoria to Ahwatukee, I’ve lived all over Phoenix, enjoying the unique culture, excellent food and natural beauty that each part of the Valley of the Sun has to offer.

This special issue of ICONIC HOME Magazine is filled with tips for creating an ICONIC home, and to me, there is no home more ICONIC than Arizona. From our beautiful sunsets to the proud saguaros, there’s never-ending natural beauty to inspire your home’s design perspective. Plus, luckily for us, Arizona is home to some of the nation’s top interior designers, architects, landscapers and builders, many of whom you’ll see mentioned within these pages.

In the pursuit of Living Beautifully, it’s important to regularly look at your home and how it makes you feel. Your sanctuary space should provide you with feelings of calmness, relaxation and, most importantly, joy. When your space is beautiful, you’ll likely feel more inspired and at peace.

A luxurious home is not just a house filled with expensive things. A true luxury is a home that’s centered around beauty. Whatever beauty means to you— whether that’s a bouquet of fresh flowers, elegant tablesettings or a unique lighting feature—there are many ways to emphasize the beauty of your home.
