In an unfamiliar environment, she built strong relationships with doctors, radiation therapists and staff, earning their trust through collaboration, care and expertise. Her leadership has been critical in embedding Icon’s standards and workflows, enabling the delivery of safe, high-quality care including Indonesia’s first gated Deep Inspiration Breath Hold treatment – designed to protect the heart during treatment for women with breast cancer. Through her adaptability and resilience, Laura has united a new team with shared purpose, strengthened capability across the site and helped lay the foundation for ongoing cancer care excellence across Indonesia.
Liam is approachable, collaborative and dependable, playing a key role in keeping research operations running smoothly and aligned across sites. His proactive communication and attention to detail ensure that tasks are completed efficiently and nothing is overlooked. Since joining the Wesley employee focus group, Liam has strengthened inclusion and representation for the research team, helping them feel connected to the wider organisation. Beyond the clinic, Rachel’s “Bowls and Bites” fundraiser united more than 100 patients, families and community members, raising $5,400 for Bowel Cancer Australia. Her compassion and initiative have strengthened patient confidence and promoted care that extends well beyond our centre.
