AUCTIONS

Twice a year, our live auctions allow us to reach a very large audience, to benefit from an international visibility, in a modern and innovative way. ICONEEK Live Auction o ers a contemporary live and online auction format, combined with unique services such as no commission for sellers. A detailed presentation, an innovative rating system, condition reports and additional photos on the website are all necessary to sell the items successfully and for the buyer to be able to bid with confidence. Two other timed auctions are also conducted, in the autumn and spring, with the full quality of expertise and the same terms and conditions for our clients.

BOUTIQUE

ur e-shop o ers a professional, detailed and documented presentation of your objects, an undeniable added value when you want to sell an article with the best guarantees of success. The sale takes place approximately two weeks after the object has been consigned. Our web store contains a permanent selection of vintage and modern watches, available for immediate purchase, and guaranteed by us. Thanks to our large network of customers and careful expertise, your watch will find a large audience.

CONSULTING

C also o ers you personalized and concierge services, covering the acquisition, maintenance, repair, of your timepieces up to the creation, enhancement and management of collections. We also provide certificates for your insurance values. Our quality of advice and service is recognized by an international and demanding clientele.

DEDICATION

Expertise and Experience are at the heart of our business and of the creation of ICONEEK. Each item, consigned for auction or for our e-shop is analyzed, tested, sometimes cleaned, described and illustrated to guarantee an optimum service for both the seller and the buyer. Passionate, expert and professional, our team is made up of specialists in renowned fine watchmaking. A team and services dedicated to your timepieces.

EDUCATION

Since the creation of ICONEEK, we strive to share and transmit our passion and knowledge, through our sales of collectible watches, our catalogs raisonnés, our detailed descriptions, our expert appraisals for private individuals, institutions or brands, our podcasts dedicated to collections, or our presence as experts at international watch fairs.

EXPERTISE

In the context of an estate inventory, an adjustment of your insurance policy, a theft or the creation of a portfolio, the insurance value allows you to justify the worth of an object according to its rarity, its condition and the current market for used watches. The demand for an insurance value is also motivated by the fact that some models are very di cult to obtain directly from retailers and would be almost impossible to replace in a store. An insurance value is to be di erentiated from a replacement value of the object because it is the price to be invested to acquire the same model second hand, the model having become a collector. Our appraisals are free and confidential by appointment.

ear friends, Dear customers,

The 1 70s marked a definitive milestone in watchmaking history. Within a few years of each other, timeless icons such as the Royal Oak by Audemars Piguet in 1972, the Patek Philippe Nautilus and the IWC Ingenieur in 1976, all three designed by Gerald Genta, followed closely by the Vacheron Constantin 222 in 1977, were launched. Avant-garde and never out of fashion, these luxury sport watches continue to arouse general enthusiasm even today through contemporary models.

All those who were able to meet us at the Re-Luxury event, organized by Fabienne Lupo and her team, were able to observe the current widespread craze for vintage, fine watchmaking and arts and crafts, in a period where sustainability, responsible consumption, reparability, and a return to essential values are becoming the criteria for choice, where quality and authenticity are combined with pleasure and desirability.

The taste for beautiful things, craftsmanship, art, and good workmanship have long been essential values in the eyes of amateurs and collectors. Because collecting is about long-lasting and quality interactions, highlighting emotional values through encounters, exchanges and interactions, it is also about putting forward a story, sometimes one’s own story, a heritage or a cultural legacy. To collect is to show and perpetuate a taste for beautiful manufacture, durability, the nobility of gestures. To collect is to transmit one’s passion, to transmit the taste for beauty, to transmit values, to maintain and transmit emotions for the next generations.

I am therefore very proud to be able to present to you for this fourth auction, a large and beautiful selection of 122 lots, timepieces that are at once eclectic, rare and exceptional, such as this Patek Philippe Ref. 2499 or this Rolex Prototype, but also iconic, timeless, both vintage and contemporary, which I am sure will thrill the hearts of enthusiasts.

«Time 4 Icons», the time to collect beautiful objects and emotions.

Yours sincerely,

ICONEEK D “ “

“The first watch in IWC’s history with a bronze case is a tribute to the spirit of discovery shown by Charles Darwin, and to the expedition vessels of his era. The choice of bronze for the case pays homage to the well-known ship, HMS Beagle, that carried Charles Darwin on his expedition to the Galapagos Islands. In those days, bronze – which is non-corrosive – was used for portholes, fittings and nautical instruments. Depending on the use to which it is put, bronze develops a patina in the course of time and darkens in colour, giving the Aquatimer Chronograph Edition “Expedition Charles Darwin” its own unmistakable character”. - Courtesy of IWC manufactory.

At the 2007 Baselworld, Rolex announced the reintroduction of the Milgauss model, a tool watch that had been dormant for roughly thirty years. The new model, Ref. 116400, would take much of its refined styling from the conservative-looking Ref. 1019, the last of the original Milgauss line. Originally this model was available in three variations: a black dial and green sapphire glass, a white dial and clear sapphire glass (see next lot) and a black dial with clear sapphire glass, such as the present watch. The new model became an instant hit with collectors who appre ciated the technical merits of this anti-magnetic watch as well as the bold design of the orange lightning bolt hand.

The name ‘Milgauss’, combines ‘Mil’, meaning Mille (a thousand), and ‘Gauss’, for the unit of measure of magnetism. Most good watches resist magnetic fields of 60 to 70 Gauss, but the ‘Milgauss’ keeps its astounding precision in magnetic fields up to 1000 Gauss, thanks to its special construction: a soft iron cage protecting the movement and dial, combined with another antimagnetic soft iron screwed dust cap. 39

ICONEEK | TIME 4 ICONS 11 DECEMBER 2022 | 53 ROLEX

Exceptional is the word that immediately comes to mind when describing this prototype watch, one of only three known examples, in 18K white gold of the Submariner reference 1680. According to scholars, only three examples of these extraordinary prototypes are known, including the watch presented here, another with a blue dial and another with a black dial.

Exceptional, because the model was only ever made in stainless steel or yellow gold, no examples are known in white gold, except for the three prototype watches. In fact, the Submariner was only officially produced in white gold in 2014 with the reference 116619. But notably, more than 40 years later, it still features a blue dial (which earned it the nickname Smurf).

Exceptional in its design, with this special bezel in white gold, bidirectional, halfway between a classic Submariner and a Thunderbird, with the unique particularity of having notches only on two opposite places, as to be handled with two fingers, but also of featuring an alternating raised Arabic numerals and fluted decoration, as can be found much later on the Turn-O-Graph.

Exceptional in every detail, as it is obvious that innovative and never seen before aesthetic details should immediately alert us to a precious metal piece rather than the classic steel version. Reasons why this piece is provided with a white gold President bracelet, while the steel or gold Sub of the period were mounted on Oyster bracelets. We can also note that this piece does not have a colored insert in the bezel, as on the steel or yellow gold version, but an applied white gold insert with raised numbers and indexes. Probably, the production at the time did not allow to machine in one block the bezel, as on the Yacht-Master today, for example.

Exceptional, because even born in white gold, it remains a seasoned professional watch. We can see that this piece comes with a Triplock crown and tube of the first generation (often changed later, during maintenance, for a second generation). The inside case back engraved with Ref. 1680 and has all the gold marks, similar to those in the yellow gold version. The back is stamped with the key 12 for the case manufacturer Genex S.A., specialized in the manufacture of Oyster cases of Ref. 1680, but also those of the Ref. 6062. The lugs are not engraved, neither at 12 o’clock, nor at 12 o’clock, because this prototype piece was not intended to be marketed. Finally, the three dots, of which the central one is larger than the others, on the winding crown, a Rolex mark for a white gold crown.

ROLEX TIME 4 ICONS | ICONEEK | 11 DECEMBER 2022 54

Exceptional, by its dial so-called «Nipple» dial, of blue color which has naturally patinated and taken a note of purple, dial which we find on the version in yellow gold of the Submariner. This dial is called «nipple» because of the shape of the circular luminous indexes. This is a «feet first» dial introduced after about 1971, the previous type being designated «meters first». The dial bears the «T SWISS T» mark at his bottom, for tritium and gold markers. The indexes and hands were later re-lumed, probably at the manufactory.

By its design and construction, we can date this prototype to 19721973. The movement, caliber 1570, is equipped with the stop-second function, a feature found from 1971-1972. The serial number of the movement « D701771 » can be dated around 1972. On the other hand, we know that the yellow gold version of the Ref. 1680 Submariner Date appeared in 1968-1969, which seems totally consistent. Furthermore, this watch has a white gold President bracelet with a concealed deployant clasp, the end links of which are numbered 54, which can be dated around 1973.

Exceptional, because we already know other similar projects of declination of models, in a new material, but which also never saw the light of day, we think of the few existing Day-Date in steel, the Daytona Ref. 6265 in white gold, or the most recent Ref. 16516 in platinum. A living testimony of a project never realized in the early 1970’s for a white gold Submariner, this spectacular watch is not only unique but also represents a museum piece in Rolex history.

An incredible project, perhaps aborted too early because of an oil crisis, a quartz crisis, which will last in the early 1970s until 1980. Did the brand decide to invest more in a quartz production to be able to propose around 1977 the Oysterquartz models? In the 1974 booklet dedicated to the Submariner, one could read «The Submariner has been dressed for the city and business, without ceasing to be a real diving watch», did Rolex want to create with this white gold model a version a little more dressed city watch? The mystery is complete.

Exceptional, unobtainable, this watch is a unique opportunity to acquire a part of the rich heritage of the brand with the crown, a one-of-a-kind creation!

Designed on the night of April 10-11, 1970, by the genius designer Gerald Genta (1931-2011), in response to a telephone call from the director of Audemars Piguet, Georges Golay (1921-1987), who wanted a sporty-chic watch in the collection, the Royal Oak quickly became the model that changed the face of the watchmaking world forever, as soon as it was presented in Basel in 1972. Produced from 1972 to 1976 in 6050 pieces in all materials, in particular 4288 in steel, the 5402ST remained in the AP catalog for 15 years. From the very first series, the A series, no. A1 to A1999, 1937 watches were sold, between 1972 and 1989. The A-series, shown here, no. A1217, was produced in 1974, the same year that 613 other watches were sold.

With its 39 mm diameter, its octagonal bezel, its «Bleu Nuit 1+ N50» dial with its handmade T21 tapestry decoration, known as «Petite Tapisserie», by Stern Creation, its integrated bracelet, and its extra-fine automatic Jaeger-LeCoultre base caliber, the Royal Oak, Ref. 5402ST, has become legendary and still continues to delight collectors in its current versions.

The model is described and illustrated in Audemars Piguet, 150 ans d’audace, by Gisbert L. Brunner, Christian Pfeiffer-Belli, Martin K. Wehrli, ill. 442, stating « premier modèle présenté sur le marché en 1972 », page 270, edition 2000. The model is also presented in Audemars Piguet, Le Maître de l’Horlogerie depuis 1875, Flammarion edition 2011, page 216 and in the book Royal Oak, Audemars Piguet, by Martin K. Wehrli & Heinz Heimann, page 83, stating « 1972 Naissance d’une légende ». We would like to thank the Audemars Piguet Heritage Department for their support.

In superb condition and accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity, this iconic timepiece is sure to touch the heart of any collector or connoisseur.

Dial, case and movement signed. Deployant clasp stamped “Nautilus, PATEK-PHILIPPE, GENEVE, STEEL INOX, SWISS MADE.

In 1976, Patek Philippe collaborated with Gerald Genta to create the ultimate sports watch.

The Nautilus collection was thus created, with the very first model being reference 3700/1 in stainless steel. The patented case design of reference 3700/1, was registered on April 23, 1976. The cases were made for Patek Philippe by Favre-Perret SA, in Le Crêt-du-Locle, from 1976 until 1981 when production was transferred to Patek’s own Ateliers Réunis workshops, for the second generation Ref. 3700/11, such as the present watch. While the name of the model was still Nautilus, the reference changed. A new type of stainless steel has been used, called «Chrome-Nickel-Molybdenum steel» and the bracelet’s width was reduced to 14 mm (as opposed to the 16.5 mm of the previous reference, 3700/1).

According to researchers, around 3600 pieces were produced under the Reference 3700/1A and 1200 pieces under the Ref. 3700/11A, making the second reference far rarer than the first. The present watch is accompanied by an Extract of Archives, confirming its production in 1981, its sale in 1985, with black ribbed dial and steel bracelet.

In superb overall condition, the present wristwatch has a particularly beautiful and well preserved dial with the “Swiss Sigma” below 6 o’clock and nicely patinated tritium inside the indexes and hands. An iconic model and a hit among discerning collectors.

Automatic, Model 222, Ref. 44018/411 - “222”, movement no. 686020, case no. 522252, made in 1978

An extremely fine, rare and collectible, thin, large, tonneau-shaped, stainless steel, automatic wristwatch with black slate dial, luminous Baton white gold indexes, gold rimmed date, luminous white gold hands, stainless steel bracelet with double folding clasp.

Accompanied by a Certificate of authenticity.

Fitted with a Cal. 1121, 12 line, extra-flat, 6 jewels, rhodium-plated, eal of eneva, straight line lever escapement, self-compensating flat balance spring, Gyromax-type balance, shock-absorbers, rotor segment in 21k gold, self-winding, three-body case construction, screwed bezel.

Dial, case and movement signed. Diam. 38 mm. Thickness 7.30 mm. Approx. overall length for bracelet 175 mm.

When talking about watchmaking icons, Vacheron Constantin’s 222 «Jumbo», Ref. 44018, immediately comes to mind. As one could read on the US ads of the time: «Live the Legacy. The two/two/two to own one is a rare privilege; to wear one is to share in history».

This rare model has marked its time, an era and the history of the brand. Launched in 1977, produced in 500 pieces in steel over a period of 7 years, in different materials, commemorating the 222nd anniversary of the brand, this model has become a true watchmaking icon and a collector. When the first waterproof luxury watches in steel appeared in the 70’s, Vacheron Constantin had to re-invent itself and create an unusual model in total rupture with its classic production.

While at Patek Philippe, with the Nautilus (see lot 54) and at Audemars Piguet, the Royal Oak (see lot 53) the models were designed with a two-body construction (monobloc type), Vacheron Constantin, in association with a young talented designer Jörg Hysek, choose a slightly different solution. Indeed, the two-body construction, composed of a bezel secured to a monobloc middle case/back, does not facilitate the assembly and services.

On the 222, there is a three-body construction: a fluted steel bezel that screws onto a solid monobloc case back, housing the dial and movement, with caught between the two, a tonneau-shaped middle case, fitted with an upper and a lower gasket. This innovative architecture allows an excellent waterproofness, at 120 m., but also adds an easy maintenance in a very contained thickness. Like its sister watches, the 222 shares the famous Jaeger-LeCoultre caliber 1121 base. Sporty, elegant and refined, the model has also been produced with an attractive grey dial (see lot 104). Aware of the importance of the model and its attractiveness to collectors, Vacheron has reintroduced the model 222, in its Historiques Collection, in 18K yellow gold under the reference 4200H/222J.

Finally, the subtle and magical visible detail that says so much about the brand’s desire for perfection, innovation, pride and excellence, the famous Maltese Cross in gold, applied to the case, as the ultimate seal of quality.

Dial, case and movement signed. Diam. 40 mm. Thickness 13.50 mm.

Following the great success of the Chronomat, the world’s first slide rule chronograph released in the early 1940s, Breitling released their first pilot’s watch, the ref. 806, in the early 1950s. Featuring the innovating slide rule chronograph, the model was called the “Navitimer» (combination of Navigation and Timer, the name was patented circa 1955). The 806 is one of the most iconic models of the Swiss brand as the slide rule allows pilots to make important calculations prior and during their flights.

The « AOPA » Navitimer were only made for the American market and were consequently stamped on the movement with the import code (between 1957 and 1979) “WOG” for the Wakmann Watch Co., the American arm of Breitling, such as the present watch. The « AOPA » logo, an applied gilt metal pair of wings, is the symbol of the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association established in 1939 which is the largest international independent organization of pilots. According to scholars, « all black » dial Navitimer were slowly replaced by the two-tone ones in the early 1960s.

The result was an original 33.50 mm diameter model featuring a robust case and bezel typical of military models and housing Longines’s historical 12.68N movement. These timepieces were identified using the letters “M. N.” for Marine Nationale, engraved on the back of the case, such as the present watch. As for the dial, it bore the words “Longines FAB. SUISSE”, for Swiss made (Fabrique Suisse). In the spirit of this original timepiece, the brand launched in 2020 The Longines Heritage Military Marine Nationale, a steel 38.50 mm. diameter wristwatch, with automatic movement, caliber L888.5, silicon balance spring, lightly grained dial with painted brown SuperLuminova hour indexes and hands.

“Two thousand years ago, Euclid discovered an enduring principle of aesthetic proportion known as the Golden Section. So perfect are the proportions of this design principle that the Renaissance mathematician Luca Pacioli renamed it De Divina Proportione, the ratio 1 to 1.6181 that dictates the perfect point at which to divide a line into two harmonious but unequal lengths. Over fifty years ago, Patek Philippe used the same principle of harmony and elegance to create the Golden Ellipse, a design that remains unique within the company portfolio”, courtesy of John Reardon, Collectability.

Ref. 2499 is widely considered to be one of the greatest watch models ever created. It has unquestionably had a great influence on the work of many of the most renowned watchmakers.

Introduced to the market in 1951, the model replaced the legendary reference 1518, the world’s first perpetual calendar wristwatch with chronograph to be produced in series.

Only 349 examples of Ref. 2499 were produced, in four different series. The first series had rectangular chronograph pushers, applied Arabic numerals and tachymeter scale. The second series had round chronograph buttons, applied baton or more rarely Arabic numerals and tachymeter scale, such as the present watch. The third series had round chronograph buttons, applied baton numerals, outer 1/5th and second divisions (no tachymeter) and sapphire crystal glass. The fourth and last series had Dauphine hands, round chronograph buttons, applied baton numerals, no tachymeter and a sapphire crystal glass.

Since its purchase in a salesroom in November 1999, this important second series Ref. 2499, Arabic numerals, has remained in one of the most important private collections in Europe, safely stored away and unused. With its strong proportions, the well-defined fluting to the lugs and the clearly visible hallmarks, charismatic, uniform ivory-colored patinated dial, with nicely raised hard enamel signature and scales, the present watch would be the ultimate trophy for any demanding collector.

Made in 1956, the present watch is from the earlier series of reference 2499 featuring Arabic numerals - a reminiscence of the legendary model 1518 and the first series of the reference 2499.

The watch presented here comes with its beautiful, original, subtly patinated through time, silver opalin dial, called «type A», because it is provided with gold applied Arabic numerals. Indeed, the model was available with two types of dials, type A, with Arabic numerals, until 1961 and type B, with faceted baton indexes, until 1964. There are half as many 2499 2nd series with type A dials as with type B dials, which appeared on the market, about ten only. A rarity.

Of course, when considering an important collector’s watch, the dial must be original and without restorations, but the watch must also have prominent hallmarks as it should, the last three digit of the case number “505” engraved on the lug and underneath the bezel.

According to scholars, less than ten other yellow gold examples meeting the specifications as the present watch, are known to have survived, further enhancing the appeal of this rare and highly collectible timepiece.

CONDITIONS OF SALE

CONDITIONS OF SALE

The following Conditions of Sale and Authorship Warrantygovern the relationship between bidders and buyers, on the one hand, and Iconeek, registered in Geneva and sellers, on the other. All potential buyers should read these Conditionsof sale and the author's warranty carefully before bidding.

I | INTRODUCTION

Each lot in this catalogue is offered for sale and sold subject to:

- the conditions of sale and the Authorship warranty

- additional notices and conditions appearing elsewhere in this catalogue.

By bidding at the auction, whether in person, through an agent, in writing, by telephone or by any other means, bidders and buyers agree to be bound by these Conditions of sale, as amended or supplemented, and by the author's warranty.

These Conditionsof sale, as amended or supplemented, and the copyright notice contain all the terms on which Iconeek and the seller contract with the buyer.

It is expressly agreed that the seller will not receive payment for a lot until Iconeek has received full payment from the buyer, including but not limited to lot related commissions and administrative and handling costs.

II | CATALOGUE DESCRIPTION & CONDITION OF PROPERTY

Lots are sold “AS IS”, as described in the catalogue and in the condition in which they are in at the time of the sale, on the following basis.

- Iconeek's knowledge of each lot depends in part on information provided to us by the seller, and Iconeek is not able to and does not carry out an exhaustive verification of each lot. Potential buyers are advised of this fact and accept the responsibility to carry out inspections and research to ensure the validity of the lots they are interested in. Despite the foregoing, we will exercise reasonable care in making express statements in catalogue descriptions or condition reports, consistent with our role as auctioneerof the lots in this sale and in the light of information supplied to us by the vendor, scholarly and technical knowledge and the generally accepted opinions of relevant experts, in each case at the time such express statement is made.

- Each lot offered for sale at Iconeek may be inspected by prospective buyers prior to the sale. Iconeek accepts bids on lots provided that bidders have fully inspected the lot before bidding and have satisfied themselves as to the condition of the lot and the accuracy of its description.

- Potential buyers recognizethat many lots are of an age and type that means they are not in perfect condition. For the benefit of our clients, Iconeek can write and provide condition reports to assist potential buyers when inspecting lots. Catalogue descriptions and condition reports may refer to particular imperfections in a lot, but bidders should note that lots may have other defects not specifically mentioned in the catalogue or condition report. All dimensions are approximate. Illustrations are provided for identification purposes only and cannot be used as precise indications of size or to convey complete information about the actual condition of lots.

- Information provided to prospective buyers regarding a lot, including pre sale estimates, whether written or oral, and information contained in a catalogue, condition report or otherwise, commentary or appraisal, is not a representation of fact but rather a statement of opinion by Iconeek. Any pre sale estimate cannot be taken as a prediction of the sale price or value of the lot and may be revised from time to time by Iconeek in its sole discretion. Iconeek will not be responsible for any

difference between the pre sale estimates of a lot and the actual price achieved at auction or resale.

- Iconeek has the right, but not the obligation, to cancel a sale without notice to the buyer if we reasonably believe that there is a material breach of the seller's representations and warranties or the author's warranty or that an adverse claim is made by a third party. Upon notification of Iconeek's option to terminate the sale, the buyer will promptly return the lot to Iconeek, and we will then refund the purchase price paid to us. As described above, the refund will constitute the buyer's sole remedy against Iconeek and the seller in respect of the cancelled sale.

III | AUCTION AND SALE

- Iconeek has the discretion to refuse admission to or participation in the auction.

- For the facilitation of bidders who are unable to attend the auction in person, Iconeek may, on the instruction of the bidder, execute written bids by mail on behalf of the bidder. Absentee bidders must submit their bids on the "Bid Form", a copy of which is printed in this catalogue or available from Iconeek. Bids must be made in Swiss francs only. The bidder must clearly indicate the maximum amount he/she intends to bid, excluding purchase commission and value added tax (VAT) if applicable. The auctioneer will not accept an instruction to execute a mail auction that does not indicate this maximum bid. Our staff will attempt to execute a mail auction at the lowest possible price taking into account the reserve and other bidders. All absentee bids must be received at least 24 hours prior to the sale, accompanied by a valid identity document. In the event of identical bids, the bid received earliest will take precedence.

- Telephone bidders are required to submit their bids on the "Bid Form", a copy of which is printed in this catalogue or available from Iconeek.

- Increasing bids are generally 10%, however the auctioneer may change the increments at his sole discretion.

Iconeek recommends that online bidders inspect any lot they may bid on prior to the sale, and condition reports are available on request. Bidding in a live auction can progress rapidly. To ensure that online bidders are not disadvantaged when bidding against telephone bidders, the procedure for placing bids, through the designated or chosen online bidding platform, is a one step process. By clicking on the bid button on the computer screen, a bidder submits a bid. Online bidders acknowledge and agree that bids submitted in this manner are final and may not be changed or withdrawn in any way. In the event that an online bid and a mail or telephone bid are identical, the first bid may take precedence at the discretion of the auctioneer. The next bid increment is indicated for the convenience of online bidders in the bid button. The bid increment available to online bidders may vary from the next bid actually taken by the auctioneer, as the auctioneer may deviate from the standard Iconeek increments at any time and at their discretion, but an online bidder may only place a bid in an entire bid increment.

- By placing a bid, whether by mail, telephone or online, a bidder accepts personal responsibility for paying the purchase price, as described in more detail below, plus any other applicable fees.

- The organization of mail, telephone and online auctions is a free service provided by Iconeek to potential buyers. While we undertake to use reasonable care in this activity, we cannot accept responsibility for the failure to carry out these bids, unless such failure is due to intentional fault on our part.

- The auction will take place online on our website iconeek.com, on the invaluable.com and drouot.com platforms, by telephone bidding or by mail bidding which must be sent 24 hours before the auction to bids@iconeek.com or by mail to the following address (mail must be received at least 24 hours before the auction):

ICONEEK - Auctions

| 11 DECEMBER 2022 144

We recommend that buyers register for the auction at least 48 hours before the auction to ensure that their registration is approved in time. A bank guarantee may be required to confirm entry. All cancellations of orders must be sent at least 12 hours before the auction.

- Each lot is offered with a reserve price, which is the confidential minimum sale price agreed by Iconeek with the seller. The reserve will not exceed the pre sale low estimate at the time of the auction.

- The Auctioneer has the discretion at any time to refuse a bid, withdraw a lot, reoffer a lot for sale (including after the hammer has fallen) if he believes there may be an error or dispute and to take such other action as he reasonably considers appropriate.

- The Auctioneer will commence and progress the bidding at such levels and in such increments as he deems appropriate. In order to protect the reserve of a lot, the auctioneer may place one or more bids on behalf of the seller up to the reserve without indicating that he is doing so, either by placing consecutive bids or by responding to other bidders. When the reserve price agreed with the seller is not reached, the Auctioneer moves on to the next lot.

- The sale is conducted in Swiss francs and payment is due in Swiss francs.

- The highest bidder accepted by the auctioneer will be the buyer and the blow of the hammer marks the acceptance of the highest bid and the conclusion of a contract of sale between the seller and the buyer.

- If a lot is not sold, the auctioneer will announce that it has been "passed", "withdrawn", "returned to owner" or "purchased".

IV | BUYER'S PREMIUM

- The sale is conducted in Swiss francs and payment is due in Swiss francs.

- The buyer undertakes to pay us, in addition to the hammer price of each lot, the buyer's commission plus any applicable value added tax (VAT). The buyer's premium is 25% of the hammer price of each lot up to CHF 250’000.-, 20% from CHF 250’001.- up to CHF 2’000’000.- and 15% from CHF 2’000’001.-. VAT of 7.7% is payable on the buyer's auction commission. This tax is refunded to any buyer domiciled outside Switzerland if, and only if, Iconeek receives an export declaration from that buyer for a purchased lot that has been cleared by Swiss customs and the value of the VAT is greater than CHF 50.-. For temporarily imported lots listed in the catalogue with a o symbol preceding the lot number, VAT will be calculated on the hammer price and also on the commission. All prices, fees, charges and expenses set out in these conditions of sale are exclusive of VAT.

- Buyers bidding on iconeek.com will pay an additional fee of 2% on top of the hammer price, buyers bidding on drouot.com will pay an additional fee of 3% on top of the hammer price, buyers bidding on invaluable.com will pay an additional fee of 5% on top of the hammer price, plus the 25% buyer's commission and additional costs.

- Unless otherwise agreed, a buyer is required to pay for a lot purchased immediately after the auction, regardless of any intention to obtain an export or import license or other permit for that lot. Payments must be made by the invoiced party in Swiss francs by bank transfer in accordance with the bank transfer details provided on the invoice for the purchased lots.

- Payments may be made by bank transfer or in cash for payments of CHF 20’000.- or less. Credit cards will be accepted with an additional 2% commission. Cheques are not accepted.

V | COLLECTION OF GOODS

- Iconeek will not release a lot to the buyer until we have received full payment of the purchase price, the buyer has paid all amounts due to Iconeek, including any fees due, and has provided information and documentation. Once a buyer has satisfied all of the above conditions,

they must contact us on +41 22 310 39 07 to arrange collection of the purchased item.

- The buyer must arrange collection of a purchased lot within seven days of the auction date. After the auction, all lots will be held at our premises or a suitable storage facility. A charge of CHF 30.- per lot, per week, as well as a lump sum of CHF 100.- for the administrative costs of the lot which has not been collected or shipped at the buyer's expense within 7 days from the day of the auction. We will not release the purchased lots to the buyer until these fees have been paid in full.

- As a courtesy to its clients, Iconeek will pack purchased lots free of charge for collection from the Geneva office. Iconeek will co ordinate, and request a quote, from the shipping agents requested by the buyer. Any such instructions are entirely at the buyer's risk and responsibility, and we will not be responsible for the acts or omissions of third party packers or shippers. The buyer is responsible for the payment of all import duties and local taxes payable to import the goods to their final destination.

- Iconeek will require the presentation of valid identification before releasing a lot to the buyer or their authorized representative.

- If a purchased lot is paid for but not collected within six months of the auction, the buyer authorizes Iconeek, upon notification, to arrange a resale of the item by auction or private sale, with estimates and reserve set at Iconeek's reasonable discretion. The proceeds of such sale shall be applied to the payment of storage costs and all other costs and expenses owed by the buyer to Iconeek, and the remainder shall be forfeited if not collected by the buyer within two years of the original auction.

VI | REMEDIES IN CASE OF NON PAYMENT

Without prejudice to any rights the seller may have, if the buyer, without prior agreement, does not pay the purchase price of a lot within 7 days of receipt of the invoice, one of the following decisions may be taken:

§ to store the lot in the premises of Iconeek or elsewhere at the sole risk and expense of the buyer

§ cancel the sale of the lot, retaining any partial payment of the purchase price as liquidated damages.

§ resell the lot at auction or private sale, with estimates and reserve set at Iconeek's reasonable discretion, it being understood that in the event that such resale is less than the original auction price and the buyer's commission for that lot, the buyer will remain liable for the loss of profit as well as for all costs incurred in such resale

§ initiate legal proceedings to recover the auction price and the buyer's premium for that lot, together with interest and costs of such legal proceedings.

§ communicate the name and address of the buyer to the seller to enable the latter to initiate legal proceedings to recover the amounts due and the legal costs.

The buyer will be responsible for ensuring the lot and Iconeek will not be liable for any damage to the item from the day of the auction.

VII | EXPORT, IMPORT AND ENDANGERED SPECIES PERMITS AND AUTHORISATIONS

Before bidding on an item, potential buyers are advised to find out for themselves whether a permit is required to export a lot from Switzerland or to import it into another country. Potential buyers are advised that some countries prohibit the import of goods consisting of or incorporating plant or animal materials, such as coral, crocodile, ivory, whalebone, Brazilian rosewood, rhinoceros’ horn or tortoise shell, irrespective of their age, percentage or value. Therefore, before bidding, potential buyers who plan to export the purchased lots should familiarise themselves with the export and import regulations of the countries concerned. Please note that the United States prohibits the import of any item containing African elephant ivory. Asian elephant ivory can only be imported into the United States if accompanied by independent scientific analysis of the continent of origin and confirmation that the item is over 100 years old.

11 DECEMBER 2022 | 145 Place Longemalle 19 CH 1204 Geneva

For any item containing endangered species other than elephant ivory, an importer into the United States must provide documented evidence of the species identification and age of an object to demonstrate that the item qualifies as an antique. To do so, the buyer will need to obtain an independent appraisal certifying the endangered species on the object and that the object is not less than 100 years old. A prospective buyer planning to import an object containing endangered species into the United States may not rely on Iconeek cataloguing to establish the endangered species present on the object or to establish the age of the object and must consult a qualified independent expert before bidding on the lot.

The buyer is solely responsible for complying with these laws and for obtaining any necessary export, import and endangered species permits or licenses. Failure or delay in obtaining a license or permit will not justify cancellation of the sale or any delay in payment in full for the lot.

VIII | LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

Iconeek makes no warranty to you in respect of any lot and shall not be liable to you:

- for any error, misprint or missing information in the description of a lot supplied, we make reasonable efforts to catalogue the lot concerned, - for any failure by the buyer to pay for the lot, - for any special, consequential, incidental or indirect damages of any kind under any circumstances.

All lots are sold without any express or implied warranties or representations by Iconeek or the seller as to the merchantability, special purpose, rarity, significance, correctness of indications as to the author, maker, origin, period, age, attribution, authenticity, provenance, weight or condition of any item. Similarly, no statement (whether oral or written, whether made in the catalogue, advertisement, bill of sale, published, advertised or otherwise) made by an employee or agent of Iconeek shall be construed as a warranty, representation or assumption of liability. Neither Iconeek nor the seller is responsible for the deterioration or defect of any lot.

IX | EXPORT, IMPORT, SALES AND/OR USE TAXES

Buyers should note that they are responsible for all fees, duties and taxes associated with the export and import of the lots they have shipped or that have been shipped on their behalf, including any applicable sales and/or use taxes that may be due upon importation of the property into the United States. Please contact the auction organizer for further details.

X | STATEMENT OF CONDITION

This catalogue has been prepared by our specialists with care and in good faith. The information contained in the catalogue is an expression of opinion only and does not constitute a warranty. It is provided for information purposes only. The same applies to photographs, dimensions and weights. The catalogue may mention certain damages without being exhaustive. Iconeek does not guarantee that all components of a watch are original components. Almost all watches and clocks have undergone repairs and overhauls during their lifetime and may therefore contain non original parts. We do not guarantee the authenticity of any component of a watch or clock. Clocks may be sold without pendulum, weight or key. As antique watches and clocks often have very fine and complex mechanisms, maintenance, battery replacement or other repair work may be required at your expense. We do not guarantee the correct functioning of a watch or clock. Certificates are not available unless described in the catalogue. Most watches have been opened to determine the type and quality of the movement. For this reason, watches with a waterproof case may not be waterproof and we recommend that you have them checked by a competent watchmaker before use.

XI | GENERAL

- The copyright in all images, illustrations and written materials produced by or for Iconeek in relation to a lot, including the contents of this catalogue, is and shall at all times remain the property of Iconeek and such images and materials may not be used by the buyer or any other party without our prior written consent. Iconeek and the seller make no representation or warranty that the purchaser of a lot will acquire any copyright or other reproductive rights in it.

- Notifications to Iconeek should be made in writing, quoting the name and date of the sale specified at the beginning of the catalogue. Notices to customers shall be sent to the last address notified in writing by them to Iconeek.

- These conditions of sale are not assignable by the buyer without our prior written consent but are binding on the buyer's successors, assigns and representatives.

- If any provision of these terms of sale is held to be void, invalid or unenforceable for any reason, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect. The failure or delay of any party to exercise any right or remedy under these Conditions of Sale shall not constitute a waiver or relinquishment of such right or remedy, in whole or in part.

XII | LAW AND JURISDICTION

- The rights and obligations of the parties with respect to these Terms and Conditions of Sale and the Authorship Warranty, the conduct of the auction and all matters relating to the foregoing shall be governed by and construed in accordance with Swiss law.

- For the benefit of Iconeek, all bidders and sellers agree that the ordinary courts of the Canton of Geneva, Switzerland, shall have exclusive jurisdiction to settle all disputes relating to all aspects of all matters or transactions to which these Conditions of Sale and the Authorship Warranty relate or apply, subject to recourse to the Federal Court. All parties agree that Iconeek retains the right to bring proceedings in any court other than the ordinary courts of the Canton of Geneva.

- All bidders and sellers irrevocably consent to the service of process or any other document in connection with any court proceeding by personal service, delivery by mail or in any other manner permitted by Swiss law, the law of the place of service or the law of the jurisdiction in which the proceeding is taken, at the last address of the bidder or seller known to Iconeek.

AUTHORSHIP WARRANTY

Iconeek warrants the authorship of the goods listed in this auction catalogue and described in the bolded or capitalised headings for a period of five years from the date of sale by Iconeek, subject to the exclusions and limitations set out below.

- Iconeek grants this authorship warranty only to the original registered buyer (i.e. the registered winning bidder) of any lot. This authorship warranty does not extend to subsequent owners of the property, including purchasers or beneficiaries by gift of the original purchaser, heirs, successors, beneficiaries and assigns; to property whose description in the catalogue (including detailed descriptions accessible on the website iconeek.com) indicates that there is a conflict of opinion as to the authorship of the property; to property where our attribution of authorship was, at the date of sale, in accordance with the generally accepted opinions of specialists, academics or other experts; to property which has been inaccurately described or dated by scientific methods or tests not generally accepted for use at the time of publication of the catalogue or which were at that time considered unreasonably expensive or impractical to use or likely, in our reasonable opinion, to have caused damage or loss of value to the lot; or property for which there has been no significant loss of value compared to the value of the lot if it had been described in the title of the catalogue entry.

- In connection with any claim for breach of the author's warranty, Iconeek reserves the right, as a condition of cancellation of any sale under this warranty, to require the buyer to provide us, at his own

| 11 DECEMBER 2022 146

expense, with the written opinions of two recognised experts previously approved by Iconeek. We shall not be bound by any expert reports produced by the buyer and we reserve the right to consult our own experts at our own expense. If Iconeek agrees to terminate a sale under the author's warranty, we will reimburse the buyer for the reasonable costs charged by the experts commissioned by the buyer and approved in advance by us.

- Subject to the exclusions set out above, the buyer may make a claim for breach of the Authorship Warrantyprovided that he has notified Iconeek in writing within three months of receipt of any information which causes him to question the authorship of the lot, stating the auction in which the item was included, the lot number in the auction catalogue and the reasons why the lot's authorship is in doubt, and also provided that the buyer returns the lot to Iconeek in the auction room in which it was purchased in the same condition as at the time of its auction and is able to transfer valid and marketable title to the lot, free from any third party claims arising after the date of the auction sale Iconeek has the discretion to waive any of the above requirements.

- The buyer understands and agrees that the exclusive remedy for any breach of the author's warranty is termination of the sale and refund of the original purchase price paid. This remedy shall be the buyer's sole remedy against Iconeek, and therefore the seller, and shall be in lieu of any other remedy available at law or in equity. This means that neither Iconeek nor the seller shall be liable for any loss or damage beyond the remedy expressly provided in this Copyright Warranty, whether such loss or damage is characterized as direct, indirect, special, incidental or consequential, or for payment of interest on the original purchase price.

I | INTRODUCTION
