Discovering the world together is as much about the journey as the destination. With that in mind, Planet Trekkers Kids Club offers a programme of tailored services and activities for children aged between 4 - 12 years old. The Planet Trekkers Programme allows families to explore the world together and connecting them with their island location. It aims to support children’s growth, curiosity and creativity, by providing them with fun opportunities to learn and experience new things.
With a captivating abundance of sea creatures on our doorstep, Planet Trekkers Kids Club is a youngster’s paradise for discovering the deep wonders of the Indian Ocean. Through games, arts and crafts and mini expeditions, budding marine biologists and curious young explorers can connect with the magic of the island while cultivating long lasting friendships.
Supervised by a well-trained and fun team, Planet Trekkers Kids Club is a secure haven with a rotating schedule of recreational and educational activities to keep our young explorers entertained. Parents can indulge in reconnection time, knowing that kids are happy, fulfilled, and experiencing an adventure of their own.
DESIGN AND CONCEPT
Planet Trekkers Kids Club is creatively designed with a spacious indoor space encapsulating a quiet corner with a library and an arts & crafts area. The ample outdoor area offers endless hours of fun in the sun with a splash pool, large garden and climbing frame depicting a pirates ship.
Planet Trekkers Kids Club takes design inspiration from the ‘Maldivian Dhoni boat theme’ and has taken the queue from this narrative to weave concept around it:
• Travelling the seas for kids
• Boat canopy ceiling
• Sea life themed furniture
EXPRESSIVE ZONE
The Expressive Zone where art and craft activities happen. Expressive arts help to awaken a child’s imagination and creativity. Discovering through their senses, it is a way to help them develop and tune in to their creative minds.
INTERACTIVE ZONE
At Planet Trekkers, an Interactive Zone is provided for our young explorers to play at leisure. With a great variety of friendly games available that can help children enjoy while socializing with others.
PLAY (TODDLER) ZONE
The Play Zone is an area exclusively for toddlers to play, specifically designed with smaller movers in mind. For toddling kids the bright colors, soft equipment and challenging physical activities are all readily available to provide a fun, stimulating play experience. Within the toddler zone we have soft play mats with arches, walkers, a baby activity chair, soft animal finger puppets, textured soft ball sets, etc.
IMAGINATION ZONE
Imagination Zone is a multipurpose area where Maldivian culture, art and music inspire children for fun and memorable experience. Using traditional Maldivian male, female costumes and jewellery allow us to create a unique sense of space and give wings to young explorers’ imagination and creativity for fun learning experience.
OUTDOOR PLAY ZONE
The Outdoor Play Zone is a great place to meet new friends and a space for young explorer to be physically active. Our activities encourage the movement and help develop social skills through group play.
PLANET TREKKERS LIBRARY
To Inspire our young Planet Trekkers and develop their curiousness from a young age, a cosy reading corner with a wide selection of books is available in Play Zone.
DISCOVERING NATURE OF MALDIVES
Connecting children and nature has important health benefits. Spending outdoor time aid children in growing lean and strong, enhances imaginations and attention spans.

MALDIVIAN LEAF ART
A beautiful idea of fallen leaf art that encourages children to be environmentally friendly and enjoy the beauty of small simple things in the world around them. Collecting fallen tree leaves on a nature walk and making leaf prints by dipping them in paint shows little ones the way of creating great masterpieces using their imagination and the beauty that nature offers.
YOUNG MAAMUNAGAU BOTANISTS
Gardening flowers and small trees teaches children basic science, responsibility, encourages creativity, and provides a positive place for children to think, relax, and recharge.
TRADITIONAL PALM LEAF WEAVING
Life in local islands is simple and grounded with toys made out of materials from their natural environment. We want to enable our young explorers to discover this new world by experiencing the same that local children do, capturing the essence of Maldives at the same time. Palm weaving, a unique handmade art of folding and weaving of palm leaves strips, is one of the best ways to learn more about local life. Simple yet enjoyable and meaningful.
RECYCLE ART PROJECT
As a part of educational activities for young explorers, we find it very important to provide children with basic knowledge of ocean and marine life conservation. By repurposing items before throwing them away, children will learn that making new items from recycled ones take less energy and fewer resources than making products from brand new materials.
PALM BARK PAINTING
Palm bark is a natural soft canvas that can be a great souvenir or agift that children may bring home and keep as memory of their time in Maldives.
ARTS & CRAFTS
Artistic activities foster intellectual development and some of their benefits are stimulates both sides of the brain. Increases the capacity of memory, attention and concentration.

GET TO KNOW THE MALDIVES
An educational presentation about life in the Maldives, local traditions and culture, flora and fauna. Kids will discover many new and exciting details and facts about the Maldives, which they can share with their parents. During the presentation, we play games and quizzes to help the kids to memorize the provided information faster.
SAND SCULPTING
A very popular traditional Maldivian activity, fun for the whole family as kids and parents create huge sand sculptures of ocean creatures like a manta ray, dolphin or turtle.
MINI MANTA BIOLOGIST & YOUNG MARINA BIOLOGIST PRESENTATION
A small interactive and educational session for the kids teaches them how to protect nature and interact with marine life. They discover a lot of useful information about the ocean and its inhabitants.
RHYTHMS OF BODUBERU –BODUBERU CLASS FOR KIDS
A lesson about the traditional Maldivian drum instrument where kids can participate, try to play the drums and feel Maldivian culture.

YOGA FOR KIDS
Practising yoga is as beneficial for kids as it is for adults.

BABY SITTING SERVICES
Our on-island babysitting services invite you to balance family time with precious moments as a couple. Indulge in private dining experiences, spa treatments or the simplicity of relaxation time by the pool, while our qualified and experienced babysitters look after your little ones.
Babysitters are available upon request with a minimum of 24 hours booking in advance and with a maximum of two children per sitter to ensure each child gets the attentive care that they deserve.

INFORMATION
• Planet Trekkers activities are accessible upon pre-booking, at least one day in advance.
• Temperature records and hands sanitizing or hands washing every time after entering Planet Trekkers Kids Club.
• Facial Mask for children is available upon guests’ request.
• Children under the age of 4 years old, they must be accompanied by parent or guardian.
• Children age 4 - 7 years old are not allowed to leave Planet Trekkers Kids Club by themselves, they must signed in and out by a parent or guardian.
• Children age 8 - 12 years old are free to come and join us by themselves with parental authorization.
• Children must be registered when using Planet Trekkers Kid’s Club and for any activities according to schedule time.
• For hygiene and safety, we do not allow children to enter or use the playground with wet swimming suit or wet clothes.
