This past year has seen noteworthy progress on a number of important fronts, all of which ensure that IC continues to excel as the premier school in the region.
We have experienced near-record enrollment, enhanced our facilities and hybrid technology capabilities, responded successfully to the growing demand for financial aid, and celebrated the exceptional quality of our university acceptances.
We owe much of these successes to our recently retired past president, Jöel Peinado. Over his five years of service, Jöel did an outstanding job piloting the school through Lebanon’s unprecedented financial upheaval, and the challenges brought on by the COVID-19 pandemic. Under his guidance, and with the generous support of donors like you, we successfully launched two solidarity campaigns in which we raised over $2.5 million. These critical funds provided much-needed relief to our faculty and staff, who were severely impacted by Lebanon’s devastating banking crisis and devaluations. We are deeply grateful for the guidance and leadership that Jöel provided during this turbulent period.
This year, we were honored to welcome our new president, Toby Wait. Toby brings with him important educational and leadership skills, which have become increasingly evident as IC navigates the painful military conflict that Lebanon currently faces. Under Toby’s watch we initiated our “Together We Stand” campaign which is in the process of raising funds to assist our many faculty and staff that have been displaced by this conflict. Toby’s steady leadership is ensuring that IC remains fully operational and continues to grow while remaining true to its vital educational mission in Lebanon.
Throughout our history, donor support has been a cornerstone of IC’s greatness and success. Your generosity to IC reflects incredible loyalty and has played an instrumental role in our ability to achieve so many exceptional accomplishments over the years.

Dear IC Community,
Despite the difficult economic conditions and the ongoing regional challenges, IC has once again successfully managed to navigate the financial challenges. The financial stewardship provided by the IC board of trustees ensures the continuity and integrity of the world class education IC provides to students. Moreover, IC is indebted to the unwavering support of generous donors like you. Your commitment to our mission of educating future leaders has had a profound impact.
I am also delighted to share that, once again, IC students achieved excellent results in both national and international exams. Our college acceptance rates continue to reflect the high academic standards upheld at IC, opening doors to prestigious universities around the world. Beyond academics, our vibrant co-curricular program continues to thrive. This year, 1,700 students competed on 85 teams across 17 sports, while 1,750 students participated in over 100 after-school clubs. Additionally, 1,130 students engaged in leadership training, and our civic engagement and service learning initiatives have been fully integrated into the curriculum for all grades, either through academic courses or advisory sessions.
Additionally, students have immersed themselves in environmental initiatives, explored the wonders of science through experiments and field trips, and celebrated the beauty of literature. These
experiences, along with their efforts to tackle societal issues—from energy consumption to road safety—are shaping them into thoughtful and responsible citizens.
The collective achievements and initiatives of our students this year speak to the spirit of excellence, curiosity, and compassion that defines the IC school community.
Your generosity has been integral in making these successes possible, and as we continue to inspire the next generation of leaders, innovators, and global citizens, we are filled with hope for the bright future ahead.

Every year, International College relies on the support of the Annual Fund from its alumni, parents, trustees and friends. As is the case with many independent schools, tuition fees at IC does not cover full operating costs. Programs which give IC that margin of excellence have to be funded elsewhere, namely through private contributions to the Annual Fund. The Annual Fund is made up of yearly gifts that go directly into the operating budget and are earmarked for school enhancements including financial aid, faculty development, facility improvement and student extracurricular programs.

Established in 2019, the Ali Ghandour Center (AGC) for Leadership and Civic Engagement (AGC) marks the first community-based learning center of its kind at the secondary school level in the region. Jointly funded by IC and the Ghandour family -Raghida, Amal and Fadi Ghandour- the AGC offers an intensive leadership and dynamic citizenship program through a Community Engaged Learning (CEL) model. Spread over three years, starting with the 10th grade, the program mentors students through a sequenced journey, beginning with extensive volunteering with an array of grassroots organizations and culminating with students leading Community Service Projects (CSPs).

EXISTING ENDOWMENT FUNDS
Gifts to the Endowment Funds create a principal that left intact will provide interest earnings on that principal. This interest provides capital for designated purposes such as scholarships, financial aid, special projects and ongoing support to the school. Donations may be made to any endowed fund in honor or in memory of a loved one or special person. A gift to an endowment fund is truly one gift that “keeps on giving”.
