Starting with the big city theaters in Basel, Geneva and Zurich, which are all of international importance, we also have to mention the well-known opera house in Zurich, offering a wide, diversified program.

Movie theaters Over 300 movie theaters located in towns and cities throughout Switzerland are available to movie fans. A broad choice of the latest films promise an enjoyable evening (the latest Ameri-can movies are usually shown about three months after they first appear in the US). The Zurich and Geneva airports are linked with the entire network of the Swiss Travel System. You have hourly trains from these airports to all parts of Switzerland and vice versa.

This offer is exclusive to swiss, Austrian, Scandinavian and Singapore Airlines flights. In Aarau, Arosa, Basel, Berne, Biel, Davos, Fribourg, Geneva, Interlaken, Lausanne, Locarno, Lugano, Lucerne, Montreux, Neuchâtel, Thun, St. Gallen, St. Moritz, Solothurn, Zug and Zurich you can also obtain your boarding pass at the railway station within 24 hours of flight departure. Deadlines on check-in time can be obtained at the above-mentioned stations.

Check your baggage through from your home to your final destination in Switzerland You fly from anywhere, be it Tokyo or Sydney to Basel, Geneva or Zurich. If you attach a special green label to each of your baggage items at departure, they will be transferred directly to your destination station in Switzerland where you can collect them within two to four hours after your arrival. Duly completed, the green label also serves as customs declaration. These labels can be obtained at all major railway stations in Switzerland, at swiss International Air Lines offices abroad, and in the agencies of Switzerland Tourism. The fee for each baggage item up to 32 kg is CHF 20.– for the Swiss transport section.

If you are already in Switzerland Check in your baggage at Zurich or Geneva airport or at the Basel railway station for any Swiss destination. Show your airline ticket and your rail ticket and you pay only CHF 20.– per baggage item up to 32 kg, and it will be specially marked for speeded-up conveyance.

From Switzerland to your home From major Swiss railway stations you can check your baggage through to your flight destination via the airports of Basel, Geneva and Zurich, provided the reservation status on your ticket is ok (unfortunately this service cannot be provided for US airlines). Just present your airline ticket and your rail ticket at the railway station. The fee is CHF 20.– for each baggage item not exceeding 32 kg.
