Application Update

The JATC received over 2,000 applications in November. Applicants completed the aptitude testing during the month of January and will be notified of their test results by March 1, 2023. Those who qualify will be interviewed in late March into mid-April. New apprentice selections will occur in late May and those accepted will be notified by June 1. New apprentices will be processed into the program during the summer months.

Continuing Education

The new JATC course catalog will debut in early 2023 featuring a variety of new in-person and online course offerings.

◦ Form 1099-R for payments from the Pension and Deferred Income Plans will be issued by January 31, 2023.

◦ Massachusetts Form 1099-HC with respect to Health coverage will be issued during January as well.

◦ Federal Form 1095-B pertaining to Health coverage will be issued by the due date of March 2, 2023. Given the changes to the Affordable Care Act, these forms are now strictly informational and not required to file a personal Federal income tax return (Form 1040).

◦ Annual Deferred Income statements are expected to be issued during the second week in February.

◦ For all of the items above, the Trust Funds are required to use the address on file for each Participant. Please make sure you’re receiving mail from the Trust Funds and, if not, please contact us so we can update the address on file.

◦ The Trust Funds Office continues to have a limited number of at-home COVID tests available. Please stop by to pick one up while supplies last.
