Electrical Contractors • Electrical Project Value: Approximately $5.7 million The Preservation of Affordable Housing (POAH) and Nuestra Comunidad Development Corporation are transforming the 2.57-acre parking lot next to the Mattapan MBTA Red Line station into a mixed-use complex with housing, retail and community spaces. This exciting new project will create two new buildings with 144 total residential units (135 units of mixedincome rental apartments and nine (9) homeownership units), all with direct access to the Neponset River Greenway and several transportation options, including public transit, ride-share and bike-share services. The project will also replace 50 existing surface commuter parking spaces and reserve 20 percent of the development site for green space. This redevelopment will help address Mattapan’s critical need for affordable and market-rate housing and aims to create 69 affordable units for the community.
