Anticipation Anticipation

Editorial note Dear readers, To every beginning there is an end, and so is this academic year slowly nearing its closing chapter. Requiring many of us to remain flexible and adaptive, it was a period that was everything but normal (or as they like to call it, the ‘new normal’). Some had to start their student life in a virtual world, and some are finalizing their time as undergraduates without visiting campus for months. These experiences have resulted, more than ever before, into expectations and visions of how the future will turn out, whether these are about a few weeks, months or years. So while everyone is busy finishing their last bits and pieces, the members of the IBCoMagazine team have bundled their powers one more time. The outcome you ask? A brand new issue full in the theme of ‘Anticipation’. A term that stands for so many shared but also personal meanings. Anticipation of how the new academic year will unfold; anticipation of the new courses you are supposed to take; anticipation of applying for an internship or embarking on an exchange or minor adventure. But it could also entail anticipation of personal growth; anticipation of meeting new people; anticipation of going on trips; anticipation of making new memories. The feeling of anticipation that makes us hopeful, excited and eager. Handing you our final, much anticipated, issue (see what I did there)! Embraced with care and love, readied for you to be inspired and issued to prepare you for a new wonderful journey ahead. Thank you for the immense support, enthusiasm and motivation by reading our issues, checking out our blog posts, and liking our social media posts and visuals. Thank you for allowing us to continuously grow our creativity, curiosity and community that is IBCoMagazine 2020/2021. Until we cross paths again, enjoy! On behalf of the editorial board, Gwendolyne
