Tactical urbanism is a movement that lets the communities engage with and experience an urban project before implementation. This strategy is known as short-term action for long-term changes. In this regard, we have used temporary projects with rapid implementation and inexpensive construction to draw people’s attention to significant possible permanent changes in the future and facilitate community engagement in the planning process for Iowa towns. The spiral Parklet is an example of these projects installed in some towns and Iowa State University.

Concept Evaluation

We examined various design alternatives in terms of function, stability, scale, and implementation.
To have precise models with the exact number of required materials, 3D models were created. In doing so, we examined various kinds of alternatives ad design scenarios for different purposes to be evaluated for the final implementation.
