® The Purpose of the IARFC

The IARFC is a non-profit professional association of proven financial professionals formed to foster public confidence in the financial services profession.

The IARFC provides the public with convenient access to well qualified practitioners from which to choose a personal financial consultant.

The IARFC is the only professional association that requires its members to meet high standards in education, experience, examination, integrity, licensing, ethics, and significant professional continuing education.

The IARFC is dedicated to bringing to the public an ethics bound, integrity focused, financial professional.

Follow these levels of advancement of the IARFC Professional Track.

From RFC to our elite MRFC credential, we provide the public with exceptional and ethical consultants.

Association

Association Membership is for those participating in and sharing the goals of the Association. An Association Member must adhere to the IARFC Code of Ethics.

RFA

The Registered Financial Associate is for those new to the financial profession, such as graduates of an approved academic curriculum in financial services, or those who do not have the required years of experience to be awarded the RFC Designation. An RFA must adhere to the IARFC Code of Ethics

RFC

After at least three successful years as a practitioner, the Registered Financial Consultant Designation is awarded to professionals who have met the high standards of education, licensing, integrity, and continued education. An RFC must adhere to the IARFC Code of Ethic s.

MRFC

T he Master Registered Financial Consultant is the highest level of recognition awarded by the IARFC. Candidates are required to have four or more years of experience, meet high standards of education, licensing, integrity, continuing education, and pass a comprehensive exam. An MRFC must adhere to the IARFC Code of Ethics.

• AAMS®, CFA, CFP®, ChFC®, CLU®, CPA, EA, LUTCF®, CFEI®, AFC®

• Series 65 Securities license or one of the following combinations: Series 6 & 63, Series 6 & 66, Series 7 & 63, Series 7 & 66

• Life insurance license

• Bachelor’s or graduate degree in the areas of Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field.

Licensing

The required icenses necessary for their mode of practice.

Business Integrity

Sound record of business integrity with no suspension or revocation of any professional designations or licenses. Must be in good standing with all licensing bodies and organizations.

Ethics

Subscribe and adhere to the IARFC Code of Ethics.

Continuing Education

The RFA and RFC require 40 hours every two years; 4 hours must be related to ethics.

The MRFC requires 40 hours every year; 4 hours must be related to ethics.

All CE must be in the field of professional financial practice and management.

Renewal/Recertification

Annual assurance continued compliance and operation.
