16Theseweretherenownedofthecongregation,princes ofthetribesoftheirfathers,headsofthousandsinIsrael.
17AndMosesandAarontookthesemenwhichare expressedbytheirnames:
18Andtheyassembledallthecongregationtogetheronthe firstdayofthesecondmonth,andtheydeclaredtheir pedigreesaftertheirfamilies,bythehouseoftheirfathers, accordingtothenumberofthenames,fromtwentyyears oldandupward,bytheirpolls 19AstheLORDcommandedMoses,sohenumberedthem inthewildernessofSinai.

47ButtheLevitesafterthetribeoftheirfatherswerenot numberedamongthem
48FortheLORDhadspokenuntoMoses,saying, 49OnlythoushaltnotnumberthetribeofLevi,neither takethesumofthemamongthechildrenofIsrael:
50ButthoushaltappointtheLevitesoverthetabernacleof testimony,andoverallthevesselsthereof,andoverall thingsthatbelongtoit:theyshallbearthetabernacle,and allthevesselsthereof;andtheyshallministeruntoit,and shallencamproundaboutthetabernacle
51Andwhenthetabernaclesettethforward,theLevites shalltakeitdown:andwhenthetabernacleistobepitched, theLevitesshallsetitup:andthestrangerthatcomethnigh shallbeputtodeath.
52AndthechildrenofIsraelshallpitchtheirtents,every manbyhisowncamp,andeverymanbyhisownstandard, throughouttheirhosts.
53ButtheLevitesshallpitchroundaboutthetabernacleof testimony,thattherebenowrathuponthecongregationof thechildrenofIsrael:andtheLevitesshallkeepthecharge ofthetabernacleoftestimony
54AndthechildrenofIsraeldidaccordingtoallthatthe LORDcommandedMoses,sodidthey.
CHAPTER2
1AndtheLORDspakeuntoMosesanduntoAaron, saying,
2EverymanofthechildrenofIsraelshallpitchbyhisown standard,withtheensignoftheirfather'shouse:faroff aboutthetabernacleofthecongregationshalltheypitch
3Andontheeastsidetowardtherisingofthesunshall theyofthestandardofthecampofJudahpitchthroughout theirarmies:andNahshonthesonofAmminadabshallbe captainofthechildrenofJudah.
4Andhishost,andthosethatwerenumberedofthem, werethreescoreandfourteenthousandandsixhundred 5Andthosethatdopitchnextuntohimshallbethetribeof Issachar:andNethaneelthesonofZuarshallbecaptainof thechildrenofIssachar.
6Andhishost,andthosethatwerenumberedthereof,were fiftyandfourthousandandfourhundred 7ThenthetribeofZebulun:andEliabthesonofHelon shallbecaptainofthechildrenofZebulun.
8Andhishost,andthosethatwerenumberedthereof,were fiftyandseventhousandandfourhundred 9AllthatwerenumberedinthecampofJudahwerean hundredthousandandfourscorethousandandsixthousand andfourhundred,throughouttheirarmies.Theseshallfirst setforth 10Onthesouthsideshallbethestandardofthecampof Reubenaccordingtotheirarmies:andthecaptainofthe childrenofReubenshallbeElizurthesonofShedeur 11Andhishost,andthosethatwerenumberedthereof, werefortyandsixthousandandfivehundred.
12Andthosewhichpitchbyhimshallbethetribeof Simeon:andthecaptainofthechildrenofSimeonshallbe ShelumielthesonofZurishaddai.

2AndthesearethenamesofthesonsofAaron;Nadabthe firstborn,andAbihu,Eleazar,andIthamar
3ThesearethenamesofthesonsofAaron,thepriests whichwereanointed,whomheconsecratedtoministerin thepriest'soffice
4AndNadabandAbihudiedbeforetheLORD,whenthey offeredstrangefirebeforetheLORD,inthewildernessof Sinai,andtheyhadnochildren:andEleazarandIthamar ministeredinthepriest'sofficeinthesightofAarontheir father.
5AndtheLORDspakeuntoMoses,saying, 6BringthetribeofLevinear,andpresentthembefore Aaronthepriest,thattheymayministeruntohim.
7Andtheyshallkeephischarge,andthechargeofthe wholecongregationbeforethetabernacleofthe congregation,todotheserviceofthetabernacle.
8Andtheyshallkeepalltheinstrumentsofthetabernacle ofthecongregation,andthechargeofthechildrenofIsrael, todotheserviceofthetabernacle.
9AndthoushaltgivetheLevitesuntoAaronandtohis sons:theyarewhollygivenuntohimoutofthechildrenof Israel.
10AndthoushaltappointAaronandhissons,andthey shallwaitontheirpriest'soffice:andthestrangerthat comethnighshallbeputtodeath.
11AndtheLORDspakeuntoMoses,saying,
12AndI,behold,IhavetakentheLevitesfromamongthe childrenofIsraelinsteadofallthefirstbornthatopeneth thematrixamongthechildrenofIsrael:thereforethe Levitesshallbemine;
13Becauseallthefirstbornaremine;foronthedaythatI smoteallthefirstborninthelandofEgyptIhallowedunto meallthefirstborninIsrael,bothmanandbeast:mine shalltheybe:IamtheLORD.
14AndtheLORDspakeuntoMosesinthewildernessof Sinai,saying,
15NumberthechildrenofLeviafterthehouseoftheir fathers,bytheirfamilies:everymalefromamontholdand upwardshaltthounumberthem
16AndMosesnumberedthemaccordingtothewordofthe LORD,ashewascommanded
17AndthesewerethesonsofLevibytheirnames; Gershon,andKohath,andMerari.
18AndthesearethenamesofthesonsofGershonbytheir families;Libni,andShimei.
19AndthesonsofKohathbytheirfamilies;Amram,and Izehar,Hebron,andUzziel
20AndthesonsofMeraribytheirfamilies;Mahli,and MushiThesearethefamiliesoftheLevitesaccordingto thehouseoftheirfathers
21OfGershonwasthefamilyoftheLibnites,andthe familyoftheShimites:thesearethefamiliesofthe Gershonites

41AndthoushalttaketheLevitesforme(IamtheLORD) insteadofallthefirstbornamongthechildrenofIsrael;and thecattleoftheLevitesinsteadofallthefirstlingsamong thecattleofthechildrenofIsrael
42AndMosesnumbered,astheLORDcommandedhim, allthefirstbornamongthechildrenofIsrael.
43Andallthefirstbornmalesbythenumberofnames, fromamontholdandupward,ofthosethatwerenumbered ofthem,weretwentyandtwothousandtwohundredand threescoreandthirteen
44AndtheLORDspakeuntoMoses,saying,
45TaketheLevitesinsteadofallthefirstbornamongthe childrenofIsrael,andthecattleoftheLevitesinsteadof theircattle;andtheLevitesshallbemine:IamtheLORD
46Andforthosethataretoberedeemedofthetwo hundredandthreescoreandthirteenofthefirstbornofthe childrenofIsrael,whicharemorethantheLevites; 47Thoushalteventakefiveshekelsapiecebythepoll, aftertheshekelofthesanctuaryshaltthoutakethem:(the shekelistwentygerahs:)
48Andthoushaltgivethemoney,wherewiththeodd numberofthemistoberedeemed,untoAaronandtohis sons.
49AndMosestooktheredemptionmoneyofthemthat wereoverandabovethemthatwereredeemedbythe Levites:
50OfthefirstbornofthechildrenofIsraeltookhethe money;athousandthreehundredandthreescoreandfive shekels,aftertheshekelofthesanctuary:
51AndMosesgavethemoneyofthemthatwereredeemed untoAaronandtohissons,accordingtothewordofthe LORD,astheLORDcommandedMoses
CHAPTER4
1AndtheLORDspakeuntoMosesanduntoAaron, saying,
2TakethesumofthesonsofKohathfromamongthesons ofLevi,aftertheirfamilies,bythehouseoftheirfathers,
3Fromthirtyyearsoldandupwardevenuntilfiftyyears old,allthatenterintothehost,todotheworkinthe tabernacleofthecongregation
4ThisshallbetheserviceofthesonsofKohathinthe tabernacleofthecongregation,aboutthemostholythings:
5Andwhenthecampsettethforward,Aaronshallcome, andhissons,andtheyshalltakedownthecoveringvail, andcoverthearkoftestimonywithit:
6Andshallputthereonthecoveringofbadgers'skins,and shallspreadoveritaclothwhollyofblue,andshallputin thestavesthereof
7Anduponthetableofshewbreadtheyshallspreada clothofblue,andputthereonthedishes,andthespoons, andthebowls,andcoverstocoverwithal:andthe continualbreadshallbethereon:
8Andtheyshallspreaduponthemaclothofscarlet,and coverthesamewithacoveringofbadgers'skins,andshall putinthestavesthereof.
9Andtheyshalltakeaclothofblue,andcoverthe candlestickofthelight,andhislamps,andhistongs,and hissnuffdishes,andalltheoilvesselsthereof,wherewith theyministeruntoit:
10Andtheyshallputitandallthevesselsthereofwithina coveringofbadgers'skins,andshallputituponabar.
11Anduponthegoldenaltartheyshallspreadaclothof blue,andcoveritwithacoveringofbadgers'skins,and shallputtothestavesthereof:
12Andtheyshalltakealltheinstrumentsofministry, wherewiththeyministerinthesanctuary,andputthemina clothofblue,andcoverthemwithacoveringofbadgers' skins,andshallputthemonabar:
13Andtheyshalltakeawaytheashesfromthealtar,and spreadapurplecloththereon:
14Andtheyshallputuponitallthevesselsthereof, wherewiththeyministeraboutit,eventhecensers,the fleshhooks,andtheshovels,andthebasons,allthevessels ofthealtar;andtheyshallspreaduponitacoveringof badgers'skins,andputtothestavesofit
15AndwhenAaronandhissonshavemadeanendof coveringthesanctuary,andallthevesselsofthesanctuary, asthecampistosetforward;afterthat,thesonsofKohath shallcometobearit:buttheyshallnottouchanyholy thing,lesttheydie.Thesethingsaretheburdenofthesons ofKohathinthetabernacleofthecongregation
16AndtotheofficeofEleazarthesonofAaronthepriest pertaineththeoilforthelight,andthesweetincense,and thedailymeatoffering,andtheanointingoil,andthe oversightofallthetabernacle,andofallthatthereinis,in thesanctuary,andinthevesselsthereof.
17AndtheLORDspakeuntoMosesanduntoAaron, saying,
18CutyenotoffthetribeofthefamiliesoftheKohathites fromamongtheLevites:
19Butthusdountothem,thattheymaylive,andnotdie, whentheyapproachuntothemostholythings:Aaronand hissonsshallgoin,andappointthemeveryonetohis serviceandtohisburden:
20Buttheyshallnotgointoseewhentheholythingsare covered,lesttheydie
21AndtheLORDspakeuntoMoses,saying, 22TakealsothesumofthesonsofGershon,throughout thehousesoftheirfathers,bytheirfamilies;
23Fromthirtyyearsoldandupwarduntilfiftyyearsold shaltthounumberthem;allthatenterintoperformthe service,todotheworkinthetabernacleofthe congregation
24ThisistheserviceofthefamiliesoftheGershonites,to serve,andforburdens:
25Andtheyshallbearthecurtainsofthetabernacle,and thetabernacleofthecongregation,hiscovering,andthe coveringofthebadgers'skinsthatisaboveuponit,andthe hangingforthedoorofthetabernacleofthecongregation, 26Andthehangingsofthecourt,andthehangingforthe doorofthegateofthecourt,whichisbythetabernacleand bythealtarroundabout,andtheircords,andallthe instrumentsoftheirservice,andallthatismadeforthem: soshalltheyserve
27AttheappointmentofAaronandhissonsshallbeall theserviceofthesonsoftheGershonites,inalltheir burdens,andinalltheirservice:andyeshallappointunto theminchargealltheirburdens.
28ThisistheserviceofthefamiliesofthesonsofGershon inthetabernacleofthecongregation:andtheirchargeshall beunderthehandofIthamarthesonofAaronthepriest 29AsforthesonsofMerari,thoushaltnumberthemafter theirfamilies,bythehouseoftheirfathers;
30Fromthirtyyearsoldandupwardevenuntofiftyyears oldshaltthounumberthem,everyonethatenterethinto theservice,todotheworkofthetabernacleofthe congregation.
31Andthisisthechargeoftheirburden,accordingtoall theirserviceinthetabernacleofthecongregation;the boardsofthetabernacle,andthebarsthereof,andthe pillarsthereof,andsocketsthereof,

3Bothmaleandfemaleshallyeputout,withoutthecamp shallyeputthem;thattheydefilenottheircamps,inthe midstwhereofIdwell.
4AndthechildrenofIsraeldidso,andputthemout withoutthecamp:astheLORDspakeuntoMoses,sodid thechildrenofIsrael
5AndtheLORDspakeuntoMoses,saying, 6SpeakuntothechildrenofIsrael,Whenamanorwoman shallcommitanysinthatmencommit,todoatrespass againsttheLORD,andthatpersonbeguilty;
7Thentheyshallconfesstheirsinwhichtheyhavedone: andheshallrecompensehistrespasswiththeprincipal thereof,andadduntoitthefifthpartthereof,andgiveit untohimagainstwhomhehathtrespassed.
8Butifthemanhavenokinsmantorecompensethe trespassunto,letthetrespassberecompenseduntothe LORD,eventothepriest;besidetheramoftheatonement, wherebyanatonementshallbemadeforhim
9Andeveryofferingofalltheholythingsofthechildren ofIsrael,whichtheybringuntothepriest,shallbehis.
10Andeveryman'shallowedthingsshallbehis: whatsoeveranymangiveththepriest,itshallbehis
11AndtheLORDspakeuntoMoses,saying,
12SpeakuntothechildrenofIsrael,andsayuntothem,If anyman'swifegoaside,andcommitatrespassagainsthim, 13Andamanliewithhercarnally,anditbehidfromthe eyesofherhusband,andbekeptclose,andshebedefiled, andtherebenowitnessagainsther,neithershebetaken withthemanner;
14Andthespiritofjealousycomeuponhim,andhebe jealousofhiswife,andshebedefiled:orifthespiritof jealousycomeuponhim,andhebejealousofhiswife,and shebenotdefiled:
15Thenshallthemanbringhiswifeuntothepriest,andhe shallbringherofferingforher,thetenthpartofanephah ofbarleymeal;heshallpournooiluponit,norput frankincensethereon;foritisanofferingofjealousy,an offeringofmemorial,bringinginiquitytoremembrance. 16Andthepriestshallbringhernear,andsetherbefore theLORD:
17Andthepriestshalltakeholywaterinanearthenvessel; andofthedustthatisinthefloorofthetabernaclethe priestshalltake,andputitintothewater:
18AndthepriestshallsetthewomanbeforetheLORD, anduncoverthewoman'shead,andputtheofferingof memorialinherhands,whichisthejealousyoffering:and thepriestshallhaveinhishandthebitterwaterthat causeththecurse:
19Andthepriestshallchargeherbyanoath,andsayunto thewoman,Ifnomanhavelainwiththee,andifthouhast notgoneasidetouncleannesswithanotherinsteadofthy husband,bethoufreefromthisbitterwaterthatcauseththe curse:
20Butifthouhastgoneasidetoanotherinsteadofthy husband,andifthoubedefiled,andsomemanhavelain withtheebesidethinehusband:
21Thenthepriestshallchargethewomanwithanoathof cursing,andthepriestshallsayuntothewoman,The LORDmaketheeacurseandanoathamongthypeople, whentheLORDdothmakethythightorot,andthybelly toswell;
22Andthiswaterthatcauseththecurseshallgointothy bowels,tomakethybellytoswell,andthythightorot: Andthewomanshallsay,Amen,amen.
23Andthepriestshallwritethesecursesinabook,andhe shallblotthemoutwiththebitterwater:
24Andheshallcausethewomantodrinkthebitterwater thatcauseththecurse:andthewaterthatcauseththecurse shallenterintoher,andbecomebitter
25Thenthepriestshalltakethejealousyofferingoutof thewoman'shand,andshallwavetheofferingbeforethe LORD,andofferituponthealtar:
26Andthepriestshalltakeanhandfuloftheoffering,even thememorialthereof,andburnituponthealtar,and afterwardshallcausethewomantodrinkthewater.
27Andwhenhehathmadehertodrinkthewater,thenit shallcometopass,that,ifshebedefiled,andhavedone trespassagainstherhusband,thatthewaterthatcauseththe curseshallenterintoher,andbecomebitter,andherbelly shallswell,andherthighshallrot:andthewomanshallbe acurseamongherpeople
28Andifthewomanbenotdefiled,butbeclean;thenshe shallbefree,andshallconceiveseed.
29Thisisthelawofjealousies,whenawifegoethasideto anotherinsteadofherhusband,andisdefiled;
30Orwhenthespiritofjealousycomethuponhim,andhe bejealousoverhiswife,andshallsetthewomanbeforethe LORD,andthepriestshallexecuteuponherallthislaw
31Thenshallthemanbeguiltlessfrominiquity,andthis womanshallbearheriniquity

1AndtheLORDspakeuntoMoses,saying,
2SpeakuntothechildrenofIsrael,andsayuntothem, Wheneithermanorwomanshallseparatethemselvesto vowavowofaNazarite,toseparatethemselvesuntothe LORD:
3Heshallseparatehimselffromwineandstrongdrink, andshalldrinknovinegarofwine,orvinegarofstrong drink,neithershallhedrinkanyliquorofgrapes,noreat moistgrapes,ordried
4Allthedaysofhisseparationshallheeatnothingthatis madeofthevinetree,fromthekernelseventothehusk.
5Allthedaysofthevowofhisseparationthereshallno razorcomeuponhishead:untilthedaysbefulfilled,inthe whichheseparatethhimselfuntotheLORD,heshallbe holy,andshallletthelocksofthehairofhisheadgrow
6AllthedaysthatheseparatethhimselfuntotheLORDhe shallcomeatnodeadbody.
7Heshallnotmakehimselfuncleanforhisfather,orfor hismother,forhisbrother,orforhissister,whentheydie: becausetheconsecrationofhisGodisuponhishead
8AllthedaysofhisseparationheisholyuntotheLORD
9Andifanymandieverysuddenlybyhim,andhehath defiledtheheadofhisconsecration;thenheshallshavehis headinthedayofhiscleansing,ontheseventhdayshall heshaveit.
10Andontheeighthdayheshallbringtwoturtles,ortwo youngpigeons,tothepriest,tothedoorofthetabernacle ofthecongregation:
11Andthepriestshalloffertheoneforasinoffering,and theotherforaburntoffering,andmakeanatonementfor him,forthathesinnedbythedead,andshallhallowhis headthatsameday
12AndheshallconsecrateuntotheLORDthedaysofhis separation,andshallbringalambofthefirstyearfora trespassoffering:butthedaysthatwerebeforeshallbelost, becausehisseparationwasdefiled
13AndthisisthelawoftheNazarite,whenthedaysofhis separationarefulfilled:heshallbebroughtuntothedoorof thetabernacleofthecongregation:

congregation,andtomakeanatonementforthechildrenof Israel:thattherebenoplagueamongthechildrenofIsrael, whenthechildrenofIsraelcomenighuntothesanctuary 20AndMoses,andAaron,andallthecongregationofthe childrenofIsrael,didtotheLevitesaccordinguntoallthat theLORDcommandedMosesconcerningtheLevites,so didthechildrenofIsraeluntothem
21AndtheLeviteswerepurified,andtheywashedtheir clothes;andAaronofferedthemasanofferingbeforethe LORD;andAaronmadeanatonementforthemtocleanse them.
22AndafterthatwenttheLevitesintodotheirservicein thetabernacleofthecongregationbeforeAaron,andbefore hissons:astheLORDhadcommandedMosesconcerning theLevites,sodidtheyuntothem
23AndtheLORDspakeuntoMoses,saying,
24ThisisitthatbelongethuntotheLevites:fromtwenty andfiveyearsoldandupwardtheyshallgointowaitupon theserviceofthetabernacleofthecongregation:
25Andfromtheageoffiftyyearstheyshallceasewaiting upontheservicethereof,andshallservenomore:
26Butshallministerwiththeirbrethreninthetabernacle ofthecongregation,tokeepthecharge,andshalldono serviceThusshaltthoudountotheLevitestouchingtheir charge
CHAPTER9
1AndtheLORDspakeuntoMosesinthewildernessof Sinai,inthefirstmonthofthesecondyearaftertheywere comeoutofthelandofEgypt,saying,
2LetthechildrenofIsraelalsokeepthepassoverathis appointedseason
3Inthefourteenthdayofthismonth,ateven,yeshallkeep itinhisappointedseason:accordingtoalltheritesofit, andaccordingtoalltheceremoniesthereof,shallyekeepit
4AndMosesspakeuntothechildrenofIsrael,thatthey shouldkeepthepassover.
5Andtheykeptthepassoveronthefourteenthdayofthe firstmonthateveninthewildernessofSinai:accordingto allthattheLORDcommandedMoses,sodidthechildren ofIsrael
6Andtherewerecertainmen,whoweredefiledbythe deadbodyofaman,thattheycouldnotkeepthepassover onthatday:andtheycamebeforeMosesandbeforeAaron onthatday:
7Andthosemensaiduntohim,Wearedefiledbythedead bodyofaman:whereforearewekeptback,thatwemay notofferanofferingoftheLORDinhisappointedseason amongthechildrenofIsrael?
8AndMosessaiduntothem,Standstill,andIwillhear whattheLORDwillcommandconcerningyou.
9AndtheLORDspakeuntoMoses,saying, 10SpeakuntothechildrenofIsrael,saying,Ifanymanof youorofyourposterityshallbeuncleanbyreasonofa deadbody,orbeinajourneyafaroff,yetheshallkeepthe passoveruntotheLORD
11Thefourteenthdayofthesecondmonthateventhey shallkeepit,andeatitwithunleavenedbreadandbitter herbs
12Theyshallleavenoneofituntothemorning,norbreak anyboneofit:accordingtoalltheordinancesofthe passovertheyshallkeepit
13Butthemanthatisclean,andisnotinajourney,and forbearethtokeepthepassover,eventhesamesoulshall becutofffromamonghispeople:becausehebroughtnot theofferingoftheLORDinhisappointedseason,thatman shallbearhissin.
14Andifastrangershallsojournamongyou,andwill keepthepassoveruntotheLORD;accordingtothe ordinanceofthepassover,andaccordingtothemanner thereof,soshallhedo:yeshallhaveoneordinance,both forthestranger,andforhimthatwasbornintheland
15Andonthedaythatthetabernaclewasrearedupthe cloudcoveredthetabernacle,namely,thetentofthe testimony:andateventherewasuponthetabernacleasit weretheappearanceoffire,untilthemorning.
16Soitwasalway:thecloudcovereditbyday,andthe appearanceoffirebynight
17Andwhenthecloudwastakenupfromthetabernacle, thenafterthatthechildrenofIsraeljourneyed:andinthe placewherethecloudabode,therethechildrenofIsrael pitchedtheirtents.
18AtthecommandmentoftheLORDthechildrenof Israeljourneyed,andatthecommandmentoftheLORD theypitched:aslongasthecloudabodeuponthe tabernacletheyrestedintheirtents
19Andwhenthecloudtarriedlonguponthetabernacle manydays,thenthechildrenofIsraelkeptthechargeof theLORD,andjourneyednot
20Andsoitwas,whenthecloudwasafewdaysuponthe tabernacle;accordingtothecommandmentoftheLORD theyabodeintheirtents,andaccordingtothe commandmentoftheLORDtheyjourneyed
21Andsoitwas,whenthecloudabodefromevenuntothe morning,andthatthecloudwastakenupinthemorning, thentheyjourneyed:whetheritwasbydayorbynightthat thecloudwastakenup,theyjourneyed.
22Orwhetheritweretwodays,oramonth,orayear,that thecloudtarrieduponthetabernacle,remainingthereon, thechildrenofIsraelabodeintheirtents,andjourneyed not:butwhenitwastakenup,theyjourneyed
23AtthecommandmentoftheLORDtheyrestedinthe tents,andatthecommandmentoftheLORDthey journeyed:theykeptthechargeoftheLORD,atthe commandmentoftheLORDbythehandofMoses.
CHAPTER10
1AndtheLORDspakeuntoMoses,saying,
2Maketheetwotrumpetsofsilver;ofawholepieceshalt thoumakethem:thatthoumayestusethemforthecalling oftheassembly,andforthejourneyingofthecamps
3Andwhentheyshallblowwiththem,alltheassembly shallassemblethemselvestotheeatthedoorofthe tabernacleofthecongregation
4Andiftheyblowbutwithonetrumpet,thentheprinces, whichareheadsofthethousandsofIsrael,shallgather themselvesuntothee
5Whenyeblowanalarm,thenthecampsthatlieonthe eastpartsshallgoforward.
6Whenyeblowanalarmthesecondtime,thenthecamps thatlieonthesouthsideshalltaketheirjourney:theyshall blowanalarmfortheirjourneys.
7Butwhenthecongregationistobegatheredtogether,ye shallblow,butyeshallnotsoundanalarm
8AndthesonsofAaron,thepriests,shallblowwiththe trumpets;andtheyshallbetoyouforanordinanceforever throughoutyourgenerations
9Andifyegotowarinyourlandagainsttheenemythat oppressethyou,thenyeshallblowanalarmwiththe trumpets;andyeshallberememberedbeforetheLORD yourGod,andyeshallbesavedfromyourenemies
10Alsointhedayofyourgladness,andinyoursolemn days,andinthebeginningsofyourmonths,yeshallblow withthetrumpetsoveryourburntofferings,andoverthe sacrificesofyourpeaceofferings;thattheymaybetoyou foramemorialbeforeyourGod:IamtheLORDyourGod
11Anditcametopassonthetwentiethdayofthesecond month,inthesecondyear,thatthecloudwastakenup fromoffthetabernacleofthetestimony
12AndthechildrenofIsraeltooktheirjourneysoutofthe wildernessofSinai;andthecloudrestedinthewilderness ofParan
13Andtheyfirsttooktheirjourneyaccordingtothe commandmentoftheLORDbythehandofMoses.
14Inthefirstplacewentthestandardofthecampofthe childrenofJudahaccordingtotheirarmies:andoverhis hostwasNahshonthesonofAmminadab.
15AndoverthehostofthetribeofthechildrenofIssachar wasNethaneelthesonofZuar
16AndoverthehostofthetribeofthechildrenofZebulun wasEliabthesonofHelon
17Andthetabernaclewastakendown;andthesonsof GershonandthesonsofMerarisetforward,bearingthe tabernacle

31Andhesaid,Leaveusnot,Ipraythee;forasmuchas thouknowesthowwearetoencampinthewilderness,and thoumayestbetousinsteadofeyes
32Anditshallbe,ifthougowithus,yea,itshallbe,that whatgoodnesstheLORDshalldountous,thesamewill wedountothee
33AndtheydepartedfromthemountoftheLORDthree days'journey:andthearkofthecovenantoftheLORD wentbeforetheminthethreedays'journey,tosearchouta restingplaceforthem
34AndthecloudoftheLORDwasuponthembyday, whentheywentoutofthecamp
35Anditcametopass,whenthearksetforward,that Mosessaid,Riseup,LORD,andletthineenemiesbe scattered;andletthemthathatetheefleebeforethee
36Andwhenitrested,hesaid,Return,OLORD,untothe manythousandsofIsrael.
CHAPTER11
1Andwhenthepeoplecomplained,itdispleasedthe LORD:andtheLORDheardit;andhisangerwaskindled; andthefireoftheLORDburntamongthem,and consumedthemthatwereintheuttermostpartsofthe camp
2AndthepeoplecrieduntoMoses;andwhenMoses prayeduntotheLORD,thefirewasquenched
3AndhecalledthenameoftheplaceTaberah:becausethe fireoftheLORDburntamongthem.
4Andthemixtmultitudethatwasamongthemfella lusting:andthechildrenofIsraelalsoweptagain,andsaid, Whoshallgiveusfleshtoeat?
5Werememberthefish,whichwedideatinEgyptfreely; thecucumbers,andthemelons,andtheleeks,andthe onions,andthegarlick:
6Butnowoursoulisdriedaway:thereisnothingatall, besidethismanna,beforeoureyes
7Andthemannawasascorianderseed,andthecolour thereofasthecolourofbdellium
8Andthepeoplewentabout,andgatheredit,andgroundit inmills,orbeatitinamortar,andbakeditinpans,and madecakesofit:andthetasteofitwasasthetasteoffresh oil.
9Andwhenthedewfelluponthecampinthenight,the mannafelluponit
10ThenMosesheardthepeopleweepthroughouttheir families,everymaninthedoorofhistent:andtheangerof theLORDwaskindledgreatly;Mosesalsowasdispleased 11AndMosessaiduntotheLORD,Whereforehastthou afflictedthyservant?andwhereforehaveInotfound favourinthysight,thatthoulayesttheburdenofallthis peopleuponme?
12HaveIconceivedallthispeople?haveIbegottenthem, thatthoushouldestsayuntome,Carrytheminthybosom, asanursingfatherbeareththesuckingchild,untotheland whichthouswarestuntotheirfathers?
13WhenceshouldIhavefleshtogiveuntoallthispeople? fortheyweepuntome,saying,Giveusflesh,thatwemay eat
14Iamnotabletobearallthispeoplealone,becauseitis tooheavyforme.
15Andifthoudealthuswithme,killme,Ipraythee,out ofhand,ifIhavefoundfavourinthysight;andletmenot seemywretchedness
16AndtheLORDsaiduntoMoses,Gatheruntome seventymenoftheeldersofIsrael,whomthouknowestto betheeldersofthepeople,andofficersoverthem;and bringthemuntothetabernacleofthecongregation,that theymaystandtherewiththee.
17AndIwillcomedownandtalkwiththeethere:andI willtakeofthespiritwhichisuponthee,andwillputit uponthem;andtheyshallbeartheburdenofthepeople withthee,thatthoubearitnotthyselfalone
18Andsaythouuntothepeople,Sanctifyyourselves againsttomorrow,andyeshalleatflesh:foryehavewept intheearsoftheLORD,saying,Whoshallgiveusfleshto eat?foritwaswellwithusinEgypt:thereforetheLORD willgiveyouflesh,andyeshalleat.
19Yeshallnoteatoneday,nortwodays,norfivedays, neithertendays,nortwentydays;
20Butevenawholemonth,untilitcomeoutatyour nostrils,anditbeloathsomeuntoyou:becausethatyehave despisedtheLORDwhichisamongyou,andhavewept beforehim,saying,WhycameweforthoutofEgypt?
21AndMosessaid,Thepeople,amongwhomIam,aresix hundredthousandfootmen;andthouhastsaid,Iwillgive themflesh,thattheymayeatawholemonth.
22Shalltheflocksandtheherdsbeslainforthem,to sufficethem?orshallallthefishoftheseabegathered togetherforthem,tosufficethem?
23AndtheLORDsaiduntoMoses,IstheLORD'Shand waxedshort?thoushaltseenowwhethermywordshall cometopassuntotheeornot.
24AndMoseswentout,andtoldthepeoplethewordsof theLORD,andgatheredtheseventymenoftheeldersof thepeople,andsetthemroundaboutthetabernacle.
25AndtheLORDcamedowninacloud,andspakeunto him,andtookofthespiritthatwasuponhim,andgaveit untotheseventyelders:anditcametopass,that,whenthe spiritresteduponthem,theyprophesied,anddidnotcease
26Butthereremainedtwoofthemeninthecamp,the nameoftheonewasEldad,andthenameoftheother Medad:andthespiritresteduponthem;andtheywereof themthatwerewritten,butwentnotoutuntothetabernacle: andtheyprophesiedinthecamp.

33Andwhilethefleshwasyetbetweentheirteeth,ereit waschewed,thewrathoftheLORDwaskindledagainst thepeople,andtheLORDsmotethepeoplewithavery greatplague
34AndhecalledthenameofthatplaceKibrothhattaavah: becausetheretheyburiedthepeoplethatlusted 35AndthepeoplejourneyedfromKibrothhattaavahunto Hazeroth;andabodeatHazeroth.

1AndMiriamandAaronspakeagainstMosesbecauseof theEthiopianwomanwhomhehadmarried:forhehad marriedanEthiopianwoman.
2Andtheysaid,HaththeLORDindeedspokenonlyby Moses?hathhenotspokenalsobyus?AndtheLORD heardit.

24TheplacewascalledthebrookEshcol,becauseofthe clusterofgrapeswhichthechildrenofIsraelcutdown fromthence
25Andtheyreturnedfromsearchingofthelandafterforty days
26AndtheywentandcametoMoses,andtoAaron,andto allthecongregationofthechildrenofIsrael,untothe wildernessofParan,toKadesh;andbroughtbackword untothem,anduntoallthecongregation,andshewedthem thefruitoftheland

1Andallthecongregationlifteduptheirvoice,andcried; andthepeopleweptthatnight
2AndallthechildrenofIsraelmurmuredagainstMoses andagainstAaron:andthewholecongregationsaidunto them,WouldGodthatwehaddiedinthelandofEgypt!or wouldGodwehaddiedinthiswilderness!
3AndwhereforehaththeLORDbroughtusuntothisland, tofallbythesword,thatourwivesandourchildrenshould beaprey?wereitnotbetterforustoreturnintoEgypt?
4Andtheysaidonetoanother,Letusmakeacaptain,and letusreturnintoEgypt
5ThenMosesandAaronfellontheirfacesbeforeallthe assemblyofthecongregationofthechildrenofIsrael.

11AndtheLORDsaiduntoMoses,Howlongwillthis peopleprovokeme?andhowlongwillitbeerethey believeme,forallthesignswhichIhaveshewedamong them?
12Iwillsmitethemwiththepestilence,anddisinherit them,andwillmakeoftheeagreaternationandmightier thanthey.
13AndMosessaiduntotheLORD,ThentheEgyptians shallhearit,(forthoubroughtestupthispeopleinthy mightfromamongthem;)
14Andtheywilltellittotheinhabitantsofthisland:for theyhaveheardthatthouLORDartamongthispeople, thatthouLORDartseenfacetoface,andthatthycloud standethoverthem,andthatthougoestbeforethem,by daytimeinapillarofacloud,andinapillaroffireby night.
15Nowifthoushaltkillallthispeopleasoneman,then thenationswhichhaveheardthefameoftheewillspeak, saying,
16BecausetheLORDwasnotabletobringthispeople intothelandwhichheswareuntothem,thereforehehath slaintheminthewilderness

21ButastrulyasIlive,alltheearthshallbefilledwiththe gloryoftheLORD
22Becauseallthosemenwhichhaveseenmyglory,and mymiracles,whichIdidinEgyptandinthewilderness, andhavetemptedmenowthesetentimes,andhavenot hearkenedtomyvoice;
23SurelytheyshallnotseethelandwhichIswareunto theirfathers,neithershallanyofthemthatprovokedme seeit:
24ButmyservantCaleb,becausehehadanotherspirit withhim,andhathfollowedmefully,himwillIbringinto thelandwhereintohewent;andhisseedshallpossessit.

29Yourcarcasesshallfallinthiswilderness;andallthat werenumberedofyou,accordingtoyourwholenumber, fromtwentyyearsoldandupward,whichhavemurmured againstme,
30Doubtlessyeshallnotcomeintotheland,concerning whichIswaretomakeyoudwelltherein,saveCalebthe sonofJephunneh,andJoshuathesonofNun
31Butyourlittleones,whichyesaidshouldbeaprey, themwillIbringin,andtheyshallknowthelandwhichye havedespised.
32Butasforyou,yourcarcases,theyshallfallinthis wilderness
33Andyourchildrenshallwanderinthewildernessforty years,andbearyourwhoredoms,untilyourcarcasesbe wastedinthewilderness
34Afterthenumberofthedaysinwhichyesearchedthe land,evenfortydays,eachdayforayear,shallyebear youriniquities,evenfortyyears,andyeshallknowmy breachofpromise.
35ItheLORDhavesaid,Iwillsurelydoituntoallthis evilcongregation,thataregatheredtogetheragainstme:in thiswildernesstheyshallbeconsumed,andtheretheyshall die

4ThenshallhethatofferethhisofferinguntotheLORD bringameatofferingofatenthdealofflourmingledwith thefourthpartofanhinofoil
5Andthefourthpartofanhinofwineforadrinkoffering shaltthoupreparewiththeburntofferingorsacrifice,for onelamb
6Orforaram,thoushaltprepareforameatofferingtwo tenthdealsofflourmingledwiththethirdpartofanhinof oil
7Andforadrinkofferingthoushaltofferthethirdpartof anhinofwine,forasweetsavouruntotheLORD
8Andwhenthoupreparestabullockforaburntoffering, orforasacrificeinperformingavow,orpeaceofferings untotheLORD:
9Thenshallhebringwithabullockameatofferingof threetenthdealsofflourmingledwithhalfanhinofoil.
10Andthoushaltbringforadrinkofferinghalfanhinof wine,foranofferingmadebyfire,ofasweetsavourunto theLORD.
11Thusshallitbedoneforonebullock,orforoneram,or foralamb,orakid
12Accordingtothenumberthatyeshallprepare,soshall yedotoeveryoneaccordingtotheirnumber
13Allthatarebornofthecountryshalldothesethings afterthismanner,inofferinganofferingmadebyfire,ofa sweetsavouruntotheLORD
14Andifastrangersojournwithyou,orwhosoeverbe amongyouinyourgenerations,andwillofferanoffering madebyfire,ofasweetsavouruntotheLORD;asyedo, soheshalldo
15Oneordinanceshallbebothforyouofthecongregation, andalsoforthestrangerthatsojournethwithyou,an ordinanceforeverinyourgenerations:asyeare,soshall thestrangerbebeforetheLORD.
16Onelawandonemannershallbeforyou,andforthe strangerthatsojournethwithyou
17AndtheLORDspakeuntoMoses,saying,
18SpeakuntothechildrenofIsrael,andsayuntothem, WhenyecomeintothelandwhitherIbringyou,
19Thenitshallbe,that,whenyeeatofthebreadofthe land,yeshallofferupanheaveofferinguntotheLORD
20Yeshallofferupacakeofthefirstofyourdoughforan heaveoffering:asyedotheheaveofferingofthe threshingfloor,soshallyeheaveit
21OfthefirstofyourdoughyeshallgiveuntotheLORD anheaveofferinginyourgenerations.
22Andifyehaveerred,andnotobservedallthese commandments,whichtheLORDhathspokenuntoMoses, 23EvenallthattheLORDhathcommandedyoubythe handofMoses,fromthedaythattheLORDcommanded Moses,andhenceforwardamongyourgenerations;
24Thenitshallbe,ifoughtbecommittedbyignorance withouttheknowledgeofthecongregation,thatallthe congregationshallofferoneyoungbullockforaburnt offering,forasweetsavouruntotheLORD,withhismeat offering,andhisdrinkoffering,accordingtothemanner, andonekidofthegoatsforasinoffering
25Andthepriestshallmakeanatonementforallthe congregationofthechildrenofIsrael,anditshallbe forgiventhem;foritisignorance:andtheyshallbringtheir offering,asacrificemadebyfireuntotheLORD,andtheir sinofferingbeforetheLORD,fortheirignorance:
26Anditshallbeforgivenallthecongregationofthe childrenofIsrael,andthestrangerthatsojournethamong them;seeingallthepeoplewereinignorance
27Andifanysoulsinthroughignorance,thenheshall bringashegoatofthefirstyearforasinoffering.
28Andthepriestshallmakeanatonementforthesoulthat sinnethignorantly,whenhesinnethbyignorancebefore theLORD,tomakeanatonementforhim;anditshallbe forgivenhim
29Yeshallhaveonelawforhimthatsinneththrough ignorance,bothforhimthatisbornamongthechildrenof Israel,andforthestrangerthatsojournethamongthem
30Butthesoulthatdoethoughtpresumptuously,whether hebebornintheland,orastranger,thesamereproacheth theLORD;andthatsoulshallbecutofffromamonghis people.
31BecausehehathdespisedthewordoftheLORD,and hathbrokenhiscommandment,thatsoulshallutterlybe cutoff;hisiniquityshallbeuponhim.
32AndwhilethechildrenofIsraelwereinthewilderness, theyfoundamanthatgatheredsticksuponthesabbathday 33Andtheythatfoundhimgatheringsticksbroughthim untoMosesandAaron,anduntoallthecongregation
34Andtheyputhiminward,becauseitwasnotdeclared whatshouldbedonetohim
35AndtheLORDsaiduntoMoses,Themanshallbe surelyputtodeath:allthecongregationshallstonehim withstoneswithoutthecamp.
36Andallthecongregationbroughthimwithoutthecamp, andstonedhimwithstones,andhedied;astheLORD commandedMoses.

38Thecensersofthesesinnersagainsttheirownsouls,let themmakethembroadplatesforacoveringofthealtar: fortheyofferedthembeforetheLORD,thereforetheyare hallowed:andtheyshallbeasignuntothechildrenof Israel
39AndEleazarthepriesttookthebrasencensers, wherewiththeythatwereburnthadoffered;andtheywere madebroadplatesforacoveringofthealtar:
40TobeamemorialuntothechildrenofIsrael,thatno stranger,whichisnotoftheseedofAaron,comenearto offerincensebeforetheLORD;thathebenotasKorah, andashiscompany:astheLORDsaidtohimbythehand ofMoses.
41Butonthemorrowallthecongregationofthechildren ofIsraelmurmuredagainstMosesandagainstAaron, saying,YehavekilledthepeopleoftheLORD.
42Anditcametopass,whenthecongregationwas gatheredagainstMosesandagainstAaron,thattheylooked towardthetabernacleofthecongregation:and,behold,the cloudcoveredit,andthegloryoftheLORDappeared 43AndMosesandAaroncamebeforethetabernacleofthe congregation.
44AndtheLORDspakeuntoMoses,saying, 45Getyouupfromamongthiscongregation,thatImay consumethemasinamoment.Andtheyfellupontheir faces
46AndMosessaiduntoAaron,Takeacenser,andputfire thereinfromoffthealtar,andputonincense,andgo quicklyuntothecongregation,andmakeanatonementfor them:forthereiswrathgoneoutfromtheLORD;the plagueisbegun.
47AndAarontookasMosescommanded,andranintothe midstofthecongregation;and,behold,theplaguewas begunamongthepeople:andheputonincense,andmade anatonementforthepeople
48Andhestoodbetweenthedeadandtheliving;andthe plaguewasstayed.

1AndtheLORDsaiduntoAaron,Thouandthysonsand thyfather'shousewiththeeshallbeartheiniquityofthe sanctuary:andthouandthysonswiththeeshallbearthe iniquityofyourpriesthood
2AndthybrethrenalsoofthetribeofLevi,thetribeofthy father,bringthouwiththee,thattheymaybejoinedunto thee,andministeruntothee:butthouandthysonswith theeshallministerbeforethetabernacleofwitness.
3Andtheyshallkeepthycharge,andthechargeofallthe tabernacle:onlytheyshallnotcomenighthevesselsofthe sanctuaryandthealtar,thatneitherthey,noryealso,die.

8AndtheLORDspakeuntoAaron,Behold,Ialsohave giventheethechargeofmineheaveofferingsofallthe hallowedthingsofthechildrenofIsrael;untotheehaveI giventhembyreasonoftheanointing,andtothysons,by anordinanceforever.
9Thisshallbethineofthemostholythings,reservedfrom thefire:everyoblationoftheirs,everymeatofferingof
theirs,andeverysinofferingoftheirs,andeverytrespass offeringoftheirs,whichtheyshallrenderuntome,shallbe mostholyfortheeandforthysons

15Everythingthatopeneththematrixinallflesh,which theybringuntotheLORD,whetheritbeofmenorbeasts, shallbethine:neverthelessthefirstbornofmanshaltthou surelyredeem,andthefirstlingofuncleanbeastsshaltthou redeem
16Andthosethataretoberedeemedfromamonthold shaltthouredeem,accordingtothineestimation,forthe moneyoffiveshekels,aftertheshekelofthesanctuary, whichistwentygerahs.
17Butthefirstlingofacow,orthefirstlingofasheep,or thefirstlingofagoat,thoushaltnotredeem;theyareholy: thoushaltsprinkletheirblooduponthealtar,andshalt burntheirfatforanofferingmadebyfire,forasweet savouruntotheLORD
18Andthefleshofthemshallbethine,asthewavebreast andastherightshoulderarethine
19Alltheheaveofferingsoftheholythings,whichthe childrenofIsraelofferuntotheLORD,haveIgiventhee, andthysonsandthydaughterswiththee,byastatutefor ever:itisacovenantofsaltforeverbeforetheLORDunto theeandtothyseedwiththee.
20AndtheLORDspakeuntoAaron,Thoushalthaveno inheritanceintheirland,neithershaltthouhaveanypart amongthem:Iamthypartandthineinheritanceamongthe childrenofIsrael
21And,behold,IhavegiventhechildrenofLeviallthe tenthinIsraelforaninheritance,fortheirservicewhich theyserve,eventheserviceofthetabernacleofthe congregation
22NeithermustthechildrenofIsraelhenceforthcome nighthetabernacleofthecongregation,lesttheybearsin, anddie.

1AndtheLORDspakeuntoMosesanduntoAaron, saying,
2ThisistheordinanceofthelawwhichtheLORDhath commanded,saying,SpeakuntothechildrenofIsrael,that theybringtheearedheiferwithoutspot,whereinisno blemish,anduponwhichnevercameyoke:
3AndyeshallgiveheruntoEleazarthepriest,thathemay bringherforthwithoutthecamp,andoneshallslayher beforehisface:
4AndEleazarthepriestshalltakeofherbloodwithhis finger,andsprinkleofherblooddirectlybeforethe tabernacleofthecongregationseventimes:
5Andoneshallburntheheiferinhissight;herskin,and herflesh,andherblood,withherdung,shallheburn:
6Andthepriestshalltakecedarwood,andhyssop,and scarlet,andcastitintothemidstoftheburningofthe heifer.
7Thenthepriestshallwashhisclothes,andheshallbathe hisfleshinwater,andafterwardheshallcomeintothe camp,andthepriestshallbeuncleanuntiltheeven.
8Andhethatburnethhershallwashhisclothesinwater, andbathehisfleshinwater,andshallbeuncleanuntilthe even
9Andamanthatiscleanshallgatheruptheashesofthe heifer,andlaythemupwithoutthecampinacleanplace, anditshallbekeptforthecongregationofthechildrenof Israelforawaterofseparation:itisapurificationforsin
10Andhethatgathereththeashesoftheheifershallwash hisclothes,andbeuncleanuntiltheeven:anditshallbe untothechildrenofIsrael,anduntothestrangerthat sojournethamongthem,forastatuteforever
11Hethattoucheththedeadbodyofanymanshallbe uncleansevendays
12Heshallpurifyhimselfwithitonthethirdday,andon theseventhdayheshallbeclean:butifhepurifynot himselfthethirdday,thentheseventhdayheshallnotbe clean
13Whosoevertoucheththedeadbodyofanymanthatis dead,andpurifiethnothimself,defileththetabernacleof theLORD;andthatsoulshallbecutofffromIsrael:
becausethewaterofseparationwasnotsprinkledupon him,heshallbeunclean;hisuncleannessisyetuponhim
14Thisisthelaw,whenamandiethinatent:allthatcome intothetent,andallthatisinthetent,shallbeunclean sevendays.
15Andeveryopenvessel,whichhathnocoveringbound uponit,isunclean
16Andwhosoevertouchethonethatisslainwithasword intheopenfields,oradeadbody,oraboneofaman,ora grave,shallbeuncleansevendays
17Andforanuncleanpersontheyshalltakeoftheashes oftheburntheiferofpurificationforsin,andrunningwater shallbeputtheretoinavessel:
18Andacleanpersonshalltakehyssop,anddipitinthe water,andsprinkleituponthetent,anduponallthe vessels,anduponthepersonsthatwerethere,andupon himthattouchedabone,oroneslain,oronedead,ora grave:
19Andthecleanpersonshallsprinkleupontheuncleanon thethirdday,andontheseventhday:andontheseventh dayheshallpurifyhimself,andwashhisclothes,andbathe himselfinwater,andshallbecleanateven
20Butthemanthatshallbeunclean,andshallnotpurify himself,thatsoulshallbecutofffromamongthe congregation,becausehehathdefiledthesanctuaryofthe LORD:thewaterofseparationhathnotbeensprinkled uponhim;heisunclean
21Anditshallbeaperpetualstatuteuntothem,thathethat sprinkleththewaterofseparationshallwashhisclothes; andhethattoucheththewaterofseparationshallbe uncleanuntileven
22Andwhatsoevertheuncleanpersontouchethshallbe unclean;andthesoulthattouchethitshallbeuncleanuntil even

1ThencamethechildrenofIsrael,eventhewhole congregation,intothedesertofZininthefirstmonth:and thepeopleabodeinKadesh;andMiriamdiedthere,and wasburiedthere.
2Andtherewasnowaterforthecongregation:andthey gatheredthemselvestogetheragainstMosesandagainst Aaron.
3AndthepeoplechodewithMoses,andspake,saying, WouldGodthatwehaddiedwhenourbrethrendiedbefore theLORD!
4Andwhyhaveyebroughtupthecongregationofthe LORDintothiswilderness,thatweandourcattleshould diethere?
5AndwhereforehaveyemadeustocomeupoutofEgypt, tobringusinuntothisevilplace?itisnoplaceofseed,or offigs,orofvines,orofpomegranates;neitheristhereany watertodrink
6AndMosesandAaronwentfromthepresenceofthe assemblyuntothedoorofthetabernacleofthe congregation,andtheyfellupontheirfaces:andtheglory oftheLORDappeareduntothem.
7AndtheLORDspakeuntoMoses,saying, 8Taketherod,andgatherthoutheassemblytogether,thou, andAaronthybrother,andspeakyeuntotherockbefore theireyes;anditshallgiveforthhiswater,andthoushalt
bringforthtothemwateroutoftherock:sothoushaltgive thecongregationandtheirbeastsdrink
9AndMosestooktherodfrombeforetheLORD,ashe commandedhim
10AndMosesandAarongatheredthecongregation togetherbeforetherock,andhesaiduntothem,Hearnow, yerebels;mustwefetchyouwateroutofthisrock?
11AndMoseslifteduphishand,andwithhisrodhesmote therocktwice:andthewatercameoutabundantly,andthe congregationdrank,andtheirbeastsalso 12AndtheLORDspakeuntoMosesandAaron,Because yebelievedmenot,tosanctifymeintheeyesofthe childrenofIsrael,thereforeyeshallnotbringthis congregationintothelandwhichIhavegiventhem.
13ThisisthewaterofMeribah;becausethechildrenof IsraelstrovewiththeLORD,andhewassanctifiedinthem 14AndMosessentmessengersfromKadeshuntotheking ofEdom,ThussaiththybrotherIsrael,Thouknowestall thetravailthathathbefallenus:

27AndMosesdidastheLORDcommanded:andthey wentupintomountHorinthesightofallthecongregation
28AndMosesstrippedAaronofhisgarments,andput themuponEleazarhisson;andAarondiedthereinthetop ofthemount:andMosesandEleazarcamedownfromthe mount.

1AndMosesspakeuntotheheadsofthetribesconcerning thechildrenofIsrael,saying,Thisisthethingwhichthe LORDhathcommanded.
2IfamanvowavowuntotheLORD,orswearanoathto bindhissoulwithabond;heshallnotbreakhisword,he shalldoaccordingtoallthatproceedethoutofhismouth.
3IfawomanalsovowavowuntotheLORD,andbind herselfbyabond,beinginherfather'shouseinheryouth; 4Andherfatherhearhervow,andherbondwherewithshe hathboundhersoul,andherfathershallholdhispeaceat her:thenallhervowsshallstand,andeverybond wherewithshehathboundhersoulshallstand.
5Butifherfatherdisallowherinthedaythatheheareth; notanyofhervows,orofherbondswherewithshehath boundhersoul,shallstand:andtheLORDshallforgive her,becauseherfatherdisallowedher
6Andifshehadatallanhusband,whenshevowed,or utteredoughtoutofherlips,wherewithsheboundhersoul; 7Andherhusbandheardit,andheldhispeaceatherinthe daythatheheardit:thenhervowsshallstand,andher bondswherewithsheboundhersoulshallstand.
8Butifherhusbanddisallowedheronthedaythathe heardit;thenheshallmakehervowwhichshevowed,and thatwhichsheutteredwithherlips,wherewithshebound hersoul,ofnoneeffect:andtheLORDshallforgiveher
9Buteveryvowofawidow,andofherthatisdivorced, wherewiththeyhaveboundtheirsouls,shallstandagainst her
10Andifshevowedinherhusband'shouse,orboundher soulbyabondwithanoath;
11Andherhusbandheardit,andheldhispeaceather,and disallowedhernot:thenallhervowsshallstand,andevery bondwherewithsheboundhersoulshallstand
12Butifherhusbandhathutterlymadethemvoidonthe dayheheardthem;thenwhatsoeverproceededoutofher lipsconcerninghervows,orconcerningthebondofher soul,shallnotstand:herhusbandhathmadethemvoid; andtheLORDshallforgiveher.
13Everyvow,andeverybindingoathtoafflictthesoul, herhusbandmayestablishit,orherhusbandmaymakeit void.
14Butifherhusbandaltogetherholdhispeaceatherfrom daytoday;thenheestablishethallhervows,orallher bonds,whichareuponher:heconfirmeththem,becausehe heldhispeaceatherinthedaythatheheardthem
15Butifheshallanywaysmakethemvoidafterthathe hathheardthem;thenheshallbearheriniquity
16Thesearethestatutes,whichtheLORDcommanded Moses,betweenamanandhiswife,betweenthefatherand hisdaughter,beingyetinheryouthinherfather'shouse.

1AndtheLORDspakeuntoMoses,saying,
2AvengethechildrenofIsraeloftheMidianites:afterward shaltthoubegathereduntothypeople.
3AndMosesspakeuntothepeople,saying,Armsomeof yourselvesuntothewar,andletthemgoagainstthe Midianites,andavengetheLORDofMidian.
4Ofeverytribeathousand,throughoutallthetribesof Israel,shallyesendtothewar
5SothereweredeliveredoutofthethousandsofIsrael,a thousandofeverytribe,twelvethousandarmedforwar
6AndMosessentthemtothewar,athousandofevery tribe,themandPhinehasthesonofEleazarthepriest,to thewar,withtheholyinstruments,andthetrumpetsto blowinhishand
7AndtheywarredagainsttheMidianites,astheLORD commandedMoses;andtheyslewallthemales
8AndtheyslewthekingsofMidian,besidetherestof themthatwereslain;namely,Evi,andRekem,andZur, andHur,andReba,fivekingsofMidian:Balaamalsothe sonofBeortheyslewwiththesword
9AndthechildrenofIsraeltookallthewomenofMidian captives,andtheirlittleones,andtookthespoilofalltheir cattle,andalltheirflocks,andalltheirgoods
10Andtheyburntalltheircitieswhereintheydwelt,and alltheirgoodlycastles,withfire

12Andtheybroughtthecaptives,andtheprey,andthe spoil,untoMoses,andEleazarthepriest,anduntothe congregationofthechildrenofIsrael,untothecampatthe plainsofMoab,whicharebyJordannearJericho 13AndMoses,andEleazarthepriest,andalltheprincesof thecongregation,wentforthtomeetthemwithoutthe camp
14AndMoseswaswrothwiththeofficersofthehost,with thecaptainsoverthousands,andcaptainsoverhundreds, whichcamefromthebattle
15AndMosessaiduntothem,Haveyesavedallthe womenalive?
16Behold,thesecausedthechildrenofIsrael,throughthe counselofBalaam,tocommittrespassagainsttheLORD inthematterofPeor,andtherewasaplagueamongthe congregationoftheLORD
17Nowthereforekilleverymaleamongthelittleones,and killeverywomanthathathknownmanbylyingwithhim
18Butallthewomenchildren,thathavenotknownaman bylyingwithhim,keepaliveforyourselves.
19Anddoyeabidewithoutthecampsevendays: whosoeverhathkilledanyperson,andwhosoeverhath touchedanyslain,purifybothyourselvesandyourcaptives onthethirdday,andontheseventhday
20Andpurifyallyourraiment,andallthatismadeof skins,andallworkofgoats'hair,andallthingsmadeof wood
21AndEleazarthepriestsaiduntothemenofwarwhich wenttothebattle,Thisistheordinanceofthelawwhich theLORDcommandedMoses; 22Onlythegold,andthesilver,thebrass,theiron,thetin, andthelead,
23Everythingthatmayabidethefire,yeshallmakeitgo throughthefire,anditshallbeclean:neverthelessitshall bepurifiedwiththewaterofseparation:andallthat abidethnotthefireyeshallmakegothroughthewater.
24Andyeshallwashyourclothesontheseventhday,and yeshallbeclean,andafterwardyeshallcomeintothe camp
25AndtheLORDspakeuntoMoses,saying,
26Takethesumofthepreythatwastaken,bothofman andofbeast,thou,andEleazarthepriest,andthechief fathersofthecongregation:
27Anddividethepreyintotwoparts;betweenthemthat tookthewaruponthem,whowentouttobattle,and betweenallthecongregation:
28AndlevyatributeuntotheLORDofthemenofwar whichwentouttobattle:onesouloffivehundred,bothof thepersons,andofthebeeves,andoftheasses,andofthe sheep:
29Takeitoftheirhalf,andgiveituntoEleazarthepriest, foranheaveofferingoftheLORD
30AndofthechildrenofIsrael'shalf,thoushalttakeone portionoffifty,ofthepersons,ofthebeeves,oftheasses, andoftheflocks,ofallmannerofbeasts,andgivethem untotheLevites,whichkeepthechargeofthetabernacle oftheLORD
31AndMosesandEleazarthepriestdidastheLORD commandedMoses.

52Andallthegoldoftheofferingthattheyofferedupto theLORD,ofthecaptainsofthousands,andofthecaptains ofhundreds,wassixteenthousandsevenhundredandfifty shekels

1NowthechildrenofReubenandthechildrenofGadhad averygreatmultitudeofcattle:andwhentheysawtheland ofJazer,andthelandofGilead,that,behold,theplacewas aplaceforcattle;
2ThechildrenofGadandthechildrenofReubencame andspakeuntoMoses,andtoEleazarthepriest,andunto theprincesofthecongregation,saying, 3Ataroth,andDibon,andJazer,andNimrah,andHeshbon, andElealeh,andShebam,andNebo,andBeon, 4EventhecountrywhichtheLORDsmotebeforethe congregationofIsrael,isalandforcattle,andthyservants havecattle:
5Wherefore,saidthey,ifwehavefoundgraceinthysight, letthislandbegivenuntothyservantsforapossession, andbringusnotoverJordan

7Andwhereforediscourageyetheheartofthechildrenof IsraelfromgoingoverintothelandwhichtheLORDhath giventhem?

9ForwhentheywentupuntothevalleyofEshcol,and sawtheland,theydiscouragedtheheartofthechildrenof Israel,thattheyshouldnotgointothelandwhichthe LORDhadgiventhem
10AndtheLORD'Sangerwaskindledthesametime,and hesware,saying,
11SurelynoneofthementhatcameupoutofEgypt,from twentyyearsoldandupward,shallseethelandwhichI swareuntoAbraham,untoIsaac,anduntoJacob;because theyhavenotwhollyfollowedme:
12SaveCalebthesonofJephunnehtheKenezite,and JoshuathesonofNun:fortheyhavewhollyfollowedthe LORD
13AndtheLORD'SangerwaskindledagainstIsrael,and hemadethemwanderinthewildernessfortyyears,until allthegeneration,thathaddoneevilinthesightofthe LORD,wasconsumed
14And,behold,yearerisenupinyourfathers'stead,an increaseofsinfulmen,toaugmentyetthefierceangerof theLORDtowardIsrael
15Forifyeturnawayfromafterhim,hewillyetagain leavetheminthewilderness;andyeshalldestroyallthis people
16Andtheycamenearuntohim,andsaid,Wewillbuild sheepfoldshereforourcattle,andcitiesforourlittleones: 17Butweourselveswillgoreadyarmedbeforethe childrenofIsrael,untilwehavebroughtthemuntotheir place:andourlittleonesshalldwellinthefencedcities becauseoftheinhabitantsoftheland
18Wewillnotreturnuntoourhouses,untilthechildrenof Israelhaveinheritedeverymanhisinheritance
19ForwewillnotinheritwiththemonyondersideJordan, orforward;becauseourinheritanceisfallentousonthis sideJordaneastward
20AndMosessaiduntothem,Ifyewilldothisthing,ifye willgoarmedbeforetheLORDtowar, 21AndwillgoallofyouarmedoverJordanbeforethe LORD,untilhehathdrivenouthisenemiesfrombefore him,
22AndthelandbesubduedbeforetheLORD:then afterwardyeshallreturn,andbeguiltlessbeforetheLORD, andbeforeIsrael;andthislandshallbeyourpossession beforetheLORD
23Butifyewillnotdoso,behold,yehavesinnedagainst theLORD:andbesureyoursinwillfindyouout.
24Buildyoucitiesforyourlittleones,andfoldsforyour sheep;anddothatwhichhathproceededoutofyourmouth 25AndthechildrenofGadandthechildrenofReuben spakeuntoMoses,saying,Thyservantswilldoasmylord commandeth
26Ourlittleones,ourwives,ourflocks,andallourcattle, shallbethereinthecitiesofGilead:
27Butthyservantswillpassover,everymanarmedfor war,beforetheLORDtobattle,asmylordsaith.
28SoconcerningthemMosescommandedEleazarthe priest,andJoshuathesonofNun,andthechieffathersof thetribesofthechildrenofIsrael:
29AndMosessaiduntothem,IfthechildrenofGadand thechildrenofReubenwillpasswithyouoverJordan, everymanarmedtobattle,beforetheLORD,andtheland shallbesubduedbeforeyou;thenyeshallgivethemthe landofGileadforapossession:
30Butiftheywillnotpassoverwithyouarmed,theyshall havepossessionsamongyouinthelandofCanaan

13AndMosescommandedthechildrenofIsrael,saying, Thisisthelandwhichyeshallinheritbylot,whichthe
LORDcommandedtogiveuntotheninetribes,andtothe halftribe:
14ForthetribeofthechildrenofReubenaccordingtothe houseoftheirfathers,andthetribeofthechildrenofGad accordingtothehouseoftheirfathers,havereceivedtheir inheritance;andhalfthetribeofManassehhavereceived theirinheritance:
15Thetwotribesandthehalftribehavereceivedtheir inheritanceonthissideJordannearJerichoeastward, towardthesunrising
16AndtheLORDspakeuntoMoses,saying, 17Thesearethenamesofthemenwhichshalldividethe landuntoyou:Eleazarthepriest,andJoshuathesonof Nun.
18Andyeshalltakeoneprinceofeverytribe,todividethe landbyinheritance

1AndtheLORDspakeuntoMosesintheplainsofMoab byJordannearJericho,saying,
2CommandthechildrenofIsrael,thattheygiveuntothe Levitesoftheinheritanceoftheirpossessioncitiestodwell in;andyeshallgivealsountotheLevitessuburbsforthe citiesroundaboutthem
3Andthecitiesshalltheyhavetodwellin;andthesuburbs ofthemshallbefortheircattle,andfortheirgoods,andfor alltheirbeasts
4Andthesuburbsofthecities,whichyeshallgiveunto theLevites,shallreachfromthewallofthecityand outwardathousandcubitsroundabout
5Andyeshallmeasurefromwithoutthecityontheeast sidetwothousandcubits,andonthesouthsidetwo thousandcubits,andonthewestsidetwothousandcubits, andonthenorthsidetwothousandcubits;andthecity shallbeinthemidst:thisshallbetothemthesuburbsof thecities
6Andamongthecitieswhichyeshallgiveuntothe Levitesthereshallbesixcitiesforrefuge,whichyeshall appointforthemanslayer,thathemayfleethither:andto themyeshalladdfortyandtwocities
7SoallthecitieswhichyeshallgivetotheLevitesshall befortyandeightcities:themshallyegivewiththeir suburbs
8Andthecitieswhichyeshallgiveshallbeofthe possessionofthechildrenofIsrael:fromthemthathave manyyeshallgivemany;butfromthemthathavefewye shallgivefew:everyoneshallgiveofhiscitiesuntothe Levitesaccordingtohisinheritancewhichheinheriteth.
9AndtheLORDspakeuntoMoses,saying,
10SpeakuntothechildrenofIsrael,andsayuntothem, WhenyebecomeoverJordanintothelandofCanaan;
11Thenyeshallappointyoucitiestobecitiesofrefugefor you;thattheslayermayfleethither,whichkillethany personatunawares.
12Andtheyshallbeuntoyoucitiesforrefugefromthe avenger;thatthemanslayerdienot,untilhestandbefore thecongregationinjudgment.
13Andofthesecitieswhichyeshallgivesixcitiesshallye haveforrefuge
14YeshallgivethreecitiesonthissideJordan,andthree citiesshallyegiveinthelandofCanaan,whichshallbe citiesofrefuge
15Thesesixcitiesshallbearefuge,bothforthechildren ofIsrael,andforthestranger,andforthesojourneramong them:thateveryonethatkillethanypersonunawaresmay fleethither.
16Andifhesmitehimwithaninstrumentofiron,sothat hedie,heisamurderer:themurderershallsurelybeputto death.
17Andifhesmitehimwiththrowingastone,wherewith hemaydie,andhedie,heisamurderer:themurderershall surelybeputtodeath.
18Orifhesmitehimwithanhandweaponofwood, wherewithhemaydie,andhedie,heisamurderer:the murderershallsurelybeputtodeath.
19Therevengerofbloodhimselfshallslaythemurderer: whenhemeetethhim,heshallslayhim
20Butifhethrusthimofhatred,orhurlathimbylaying ofwait,thathedie;
21Orinenmitysmitehimwithhishand,thathedie:he thatsmotehimshallsurelybeputtodeath;forheisa murderer:therevengerofbloodshallslaythemurderer, whenhemeetethhim.
22Butifhethrusthimsuddenlywithoutenmity,orhave castuponhimanythingwithoutlayingofwait, 23Orwithanystone,wherewithamanmaydie,seeing himnot,andcastituponhim,thathedie,andwasnothis enemy,neithersoughthisharm:
24Thenthecongregationshalljudgebetweentheslayer andtherevengerofbloodaccordingtothesejudgments:
25Andthecongregationshalldelivertheslayeroutofthe handoftherevengerofblood,andthecongregationshall restorehimtothecityofhisrefuge,whitherhewasfled: andheshallabideinituntothedeathofthehighpriest, whichwasanointedwiththeholyoil.
26Butiftheslayershallatanytimecomewithoutthe borderofthecityofhisrefuge,whitherhewasfled;
27Andtherevengerofbloodfindhimwithouttheborders ofthecityofhisrefuge,andtherevengerofbloodkillthe slayer;heshallnotbeguiltyofblood:
28Becauseheshouldhaveremainedinthecityofhis refugeuntilthedeathofthehighpriest:butafterthedeath
ofthehighpriesttheslayershallreturnintothelandofhis possession
29Sothesethingsshallbeforastatuteofjudgmentunto youthroughoutyourgenerationsinallyourdwellings
30Whosokillethanyperson,themurderershallbeputto deathbythemouthofwitnesses:butonewitnessshallnot testifyagainstanypersontocausehimtodie
31Moreoveryeshalltakenosatisfactionforthelifeofa murderer,whichisguiltyofdeath:butheshallbesurely puttodeath
32Andyeshalltakenosatisfactionforhimthatisfledto thecityofhisrefuge,thatheshouldcomeagaintodwellin theland,untilthedeathofthepriest
33Soyeshallnotpollutethelandwhereinyeare:for blooditdefileththeland:andthelandcannotbecleansed ofthebloodthatisshedtherein,butbythebloodofhim thatshedit.
34Defilenotthereforethelandwhichyeshallinhabit, whereinIdwell:forItheLORDdwellamongthechildren ofIsrael.
CHAPTER36
1Andthechieffathersofthefamiliesofthechildrenof Gilead,thesonofMachir,thesonofManasseh,ofthe familiesofthesonsofJoseph,camenear,andspakebefore Moses,andbeforetheprinces,thechieffathersofthe childrenofIsrael:
2Andtheysaid,TheLORDcommandedmylordtogive thelandforaninheritancebylottothechildrenofIsrael: andmylordwascommandedbytheLORDtogivethe inheritanceofZelophehadourbrotheruntohisdaughters.
3Andiftheybemarriedtoanyofthesonsoftheother tribesofthechildrenofIsrael,thenshalltheirinheritance betakenfromtheinheritanceofourfathers,andshallbe puttotheinheritanceofthetribewhereuntotheyare received:soshallitbetakenfromthelotofourinheritance
4AndwhenthejubileofthechildrenofIsraelshallbe, thenshalltheirinheritancebeputuntotheinheritanceof thetribewhereuntotheyarereceived:soshalltheir inheritancebetakenawayfromtheinheritanceofthetribe ofourfathers
5AndMosescommandedthechildrenofIsraelaccording tothewordoftheLORD,saying,Thetribeofthesonsof Josephhathsaidwell
6ThisisthethingwhichtheLORDdothcommand concerningthedaughtersofZelophehad,saying,Letthem marrytowhomtheythinkbest;onlytothefamilyofthe tribeoftheirfathershalltheymarry.
7SoshallnottheinheritanceofthechildrenofIsrael removefromtribetotribe:foreveryoneofthechildrenof Israelshallkeephimselftotheinheritanceofthetribeof hisfathers
8Andeverydaughter,thatpossessethaninheritanceinany tribeofthechildrenofIsrael,shallbewifeuntooneofthe familyofthetribeofherfather,thatthechildrenofIsrael mayenjoyeverymantheinheritanceofhisfathers
9Neithershalltheinheritanceremovefromonetribeto anothertribe;buteveryoneofthetribesofthechildrenof Israelshallkeephimselftohisowninheritance
10EvenastheLORDcommandedMoses,sodidthe daughtersofZelophehad:
11ForMahlah,Tirzah,andHoglah,andMilcah,andNoah, thedaughtersofZelophehad,weremarrieduntotheir father'sbrothers'sons:
12Andtheyweremarriedintothefamiliesofthesonsof ManassehthesonofJoseph,andtheirinheritanceremained inthetribeofthefamilyoftheirfather
