2Andhehadtwowives;thenameoftheonewasHannah, andthenameoftheotherPeninnah:andPeninnahhad children,butHannahhadnochildren
3Andthismanwentupoutofhiscityyearlytoworship andtosacrificeuntotheLORDofhostsinShilohAndthe twosonsofEli,HophniandPhinehas,thepriestsofthe LORD,werethere.
4AndwhenthetimewasthatElkanahoffered,hegaveto Peninnahhiswife,andtoallhersonsandherdaughters, portions:
5ButuntoHannahhegaveaworthyportion;forheloved Hannah:buttheLORDhadshutupherwomb
6Andheradversaryalsoprovokedhersore,fortomake herfret,becausetheLORDhadshutupherwomb
7Andashedidsoyearbyyear,whenshewentuptothe houseoftheLORD,sosheprovokedher;thereforeshe wept,anddidnoteat
8ThensaidElkanahherhusbandtoher,Hannah,why weepestthou?andwhyeatestthounot?andwhyisthy heartgrieved?amnotIbettertotheethantensons?
9SoHannahroseupaftertheyhadeateninShiloh,and aftertheyhaddrunk.NowElithepriestsatuponaseatby apostofthetempleoftheLORD
10Andshewasinbitternessofsoul,andprayeduntothe LORD,andweptsore.
11Andshevowedavow,andsaid,OLORDofhosts,if thouwiltindeedlookontheafflictionofthinehandmaid, andrememberme,andnotforgetthinehandmaid,butwilt giveuntothinehandmaidamanchild,thenIwillgivehim untotheLORDallthedaysofhislife,andthereshallno razorcomeuponhishead.
12Anditcametopass,asshecontinuedprayingbeforethe LORD,thatElimarkedhermouth
13NowHannah,shespakeinherheart;onlyherlips moved,buthervoicewasnotheard:thereforeElithought shehadbeendrunken.
14AndElisaiduntoher,Howlongwiltthoubedrunken? putawaythywinefromthee
15AndHannahansweredandsaid,No,mylord,Iama womanofasorrowfulspirit:Ihavedrunkneitherwinenor strongdrink,buthavepouredoutmysoulbeforethe LORD.
16CountnotthinehandmaidforadaughterofBelial:for outoftheabundanceofmycomplaintandgriefhaveI spokenhitherto.
17ThenEliansweredandsaid,Goinpeace:andtheGod ofIsraelgranttheethypetitionthatthouhastaskedofhim
18Andshesaid,Letthinehandmaidfindgraceinthysight. Sothewomanwentherway,anddideat,andher countenancewasnomoresad
19Andtheyroseupinthemorningearly,andworshipped beforetheLORD,andreturned,andcametotheirhouseto Ramah:andElkanahknewHannahhiswife;andthe LORDrememberedher.
20Whereforeitcametopass,whenthetimewascome aboutafterHannahhadconceived,thatshebareason,and calledhisnameSamuel,saying,BecauseIhaveaskedhim oftheLORD
21AndthemanElkanah,andallhishouse,wentupto offeruntotheLORDtheyearlysacrifice,andhisvow.
22ButHannahwentnotup;forshesaiduntoherhusband, Iwillnotgoupuntilthechildbeweaned,andthenIwill bringhim,thathemayappearbeforetheLORD,andthere abideforever
23AndElkanahherhusbandsaiduntoher,Dowhat seemeththeegood;tarryuntilthouhaveweanedhim;only theLORDestablishhiswordSothewomanabode,and gavehersonsuckuntilsheweanedhim
24Andwhenshehadweanedhim,shetookhimupwith her,withthreebullocks,andoneephahofflour,anda bottleofwine,andbroughthimuntothehouseofthe LORDinShiloh:andthechildwasyoung.
25Andtheyslewabullock,andbroughtthechildtoEli
26Andshesaid,Ohmylord,asthysoulliveth,mylord,I amthewomanthatstoodbytheehere,prayinguntothe LORD
27ForthischildIprayed;andtheLORDhathgivenme mypetitionwhichIaskedofhim:
28ThereforealsoIhavelenthimtotheLORD;aslongas helivethheshallbelenttotheLORDAndheworshipped theLORDthere.
CHAPTER2
1AndHannahprayed,andsaid,Myheartrejoicethinthe LORD,minehornisexaltedintheLORD:mymouthis enlargedovermineenemies;becauseIrejoiceinthy salvation
2ThereisnoneholyastheLORD:forthereisnonebeside thee:neitheristhereanyrocklikeourGod.
3Talknomoresoexceedingproudly;letnotarrogancy comeoutofyourmouth:fortheLORDisaGodof knowledge,andbyhimactionsareweighed
4Thebowsofthemightymenarebroken,andtheythat stumbledaregirdedwithstrength.
5Theythatwerefullhavehiredoutthemselvesforbread; andtheythatwerehungryceased:sothatthebarrenhath bornseven;andshethathathmanychildreniswaxed feeble
6TheLORDkilleth,andmakethalive:hebringethdown tothegrave,andbringethup.
7TheLORDmakethpoor,andmakethrich:hebringeth low,andliftethup
8Heraisethupthepooroutofthedust,andliftethupthe beggarfromthedunghill,tosetthemamongprinces,and tomaketheminheritthethroneofglory:forthepillarsof theeartharetheLORD'S,andhehathsettheworldupon them
9Hewillkeepthefeetofhissaints,andthewickedshall besilentindarkness;forbystrengthshallnomanprevail.
10TheadversariesoftheLORDshallbebrokentopieces; outofheavenshallhethunderuponthem:theLORDshall judgetheendsoftheearth;andheshallgivestrengthunto hisking,andexaltthehornofhisanointed
11AndElkanahwenttoRamahtohishouseAndthechild didministeruntotheLORDbeforeElithepriest.
12NowthesonsofEliweresonsofBelial;theyknewnot theLORD
13Andthepriests'customwiththepeoplewas,that,when anymanofferedsacrifice,thepriest'sservantcame,while thefleshwasinseething,withafleshhookofthreeteethin hishand;
14Andhestruckitintothepan,orkettle,orcaldron,orpot; allthatthefleshhookbroughtupthepriesttookforhimself. SotheydidinShilohuntoalltheIsraelitesthatcame thither
15Alsobeforetheyburntthefat,thepriest'sservantcame, andsaidtothemanthatsacrificed,Givefleshtoroastfor thepriest;forhewillnothavesoddenfleshofthee,butraw 16Andifanymansaiduntohim,Letthemnotfailtoburn thefatpresently,andthentakeasmuchasthysouldesireth; thenhewouldanswerhim,Nay;butthoushaltgiveitme now:andifnot,Iwilltakeitbyforce.
17Whereforethesinoftheyoungmenwasverygreat beforetheLORD:formenabhorredtheofferingofthe LORD.
18ButSamuelministeredbeforetheLORD,beingachild, girdedwithalinenephod
19Moreoverhismothermadehimalittlecoat,and broughtittohimfromyeartoyear,whenshecameupwith herhusbandtooffertheyearlysacrifice
20AndEliblessedElkanahandhiswife,andsaid,The LORDgivetheeseedofthiswomanfortheloanwhichis lenttotheLORDAndtheywentuntotheirownhome 21AndtheLORDvisitedHannah,sothatsheconceived, andbarethreesonsandtwodaughtersAndthechild SamuelgrewbeforetheLORD
22NowEliwasveryold,andheardallthathissonsdid untoallIsrael;andhowtheylaywiththewomenthat assembledatthedoorofthetabernacleofthecongregation
23Andhesaiduntothem,Whydoyesuchthings?forI hearofyourevildealingsbyallthispeople
24Nay,mysons;foritisnogoodreportthatIhear:ye maketheLORD'Speopletotransgress.
25Ifonemansinagainstanother,thejudgeshalljudge him:butifamansinagainsttheLORD,whoshallintreat forhim?Notwithstandingtheyhearkenednotuntothe voiceoftheirfather,becausetheLORDwouldslaythem 26AndthechildSamuelgrewon,andwasinfavourboth withtheLORD,andalsowithmen.
27AndtherecameamanofGoduntoEli,andsaidunto him,ThussaiththeLORD,DidIplainlyappearuntothe houseofthyfather,whentheywereinEgyptinPharaoh's house?
28AnddidIchoosehimoutofallthetribesofIsraeltobe mypriest,toofferuponminealtar,toburnincense,towear anephodbeforeme?anddidIgiveuntothehouseofthy fatheralltheofferingsmadebyfireofthechildrenofIsrael?
29Whereforekickyeatmysacrificeandatmineoffering, whichIhavecommandedinmyhabitation;andhonourest thysonsaboveme,tomakeyourselvesfatwiththechiefest ofalltheofferingsofIsraelmypeople?
30WhereforetheLORDGodofIsraelsaith,Isaidindeed thatthyhouse,andthehouseofthyfather,shouldwalk beforemeforever:butnowtheLORDsaith,Beitfarfrom me;forthemthathonourmeIwillhonour,andtheythat despisemeshallbelightlyesteemed.
31Behold,thedayscome,thatIwillcutoffthinearm,and thearmofthyfather'shouse,thatthereshallnotbeanold maninthinehouse
32Andthoushaltseeanenemyinmyhabitation,inallthe wealthwhichGodshallgiveIsrael:andthereshallnotbe anoldmaninthinehouseforever
33Andthemanofthine,whomIshallnotcutofffrom minealtar,shallbetoconsumethineeyes,andtogrieve thineheart:andalltheincreaseofthinehouseshalldiein thefloweroftheirage
34Andthisshallbeasignuntothee,thatshallcomeupon thytwosons,onHophniandPhinehas;inonedaythey shalldiebothofthem
35AndIwillraisemeupafaithfulpriest,thatshalldo accordingtothatwhichisinmineheartandinmymind: andIwillbuildhimasurehouse;andheshallwalkbefore mineanointedforever.
36Anditshallcometopass,thateveryonethatisleftin thinehouseshallcomeandcrouchtohimforapieceof silverandamorselofbread,andshallsay,Putme,Ipray thee,intooneofthepriests'offices,thatImayeatapiece ofbread
CHAPTER3
1AndthechildSamuelministereduntotheLORDbefore EliAndthewordoftheLORDwaspreciousinthosedays; therewasnoopenvision
2Anditcametopassatthattime,whenEliwaslaiddown inhisplace,andhiseyesbegantowaxdim,thathecould notsee;
3AnderethelampofGodwentoutinthetempleofthe LORD,wherethearkofGodwas,andSamuelwaslaid downtosleep;
4ThattheLORDcalledSamuel:andheanswered,Here amI
5AndheranuntoEli,andsaid,HereamI;forthou calledstme.Andhesaid,Icallednot;liedownagain.And hewentandlaydown
6AndtheLORDcalledyetagain,Samuel.AndSamuel aroseandwenttoEli,andsaid,HereamI;forthoudidst callmeAndheanswered,Icallednot,myson;liedown again.
7NowSamueldidnotyetknowtheLORD,neitherwas thewordoftheLORDyetrevealeduntohim
8AndtheLORDcalledSamuelagainthethirdtimeAnd hearoseandwenttoEli,andsaid,HereamI;forthoudidst callmeAndEliperceivedthattheLORDhadcalledthe child.
9ThereforeElisaiduntoSamuel,Go,liedown:anditshall be,ifhecallthee,thatthoushaltsay,Speak,LORD;for thyservantheareth.SoSamuelwentandlaydowninhis place
10AndtheLORDcame,andstood,andcalledasatother times,Samuel,Samuel.ThenSamuelanswered,Speak;for thyservantheareth
11AndtheLORDsaidtoSamuel,Behold,Iwilldoathing inIsrael,atwhichboththeearsofeveryonethathearethit shalltingle
12InthatdayIwillperformagainstEliallthingswhichI havespokenconcerninghishouse:whenIbegin,Iwill alsomakeanend
13ForIhavetoldhimthatIwilljudgehishouseforever fortheiniquitywhichheknoweth;becausehissonsmade themselvesvile,andherestrainedthemnot
14AndthereforeIhaveswornuntothehouseofEli,that theiniquityofEli'shouseshallnotbepurgedwithsacrifice norofferingforever
15AndSamuellayuntilthemorning,andopenedthe doorsofthehouseoftheLORD.AndSamuelfearedto shewElithevision.
16ThenElicalledSamuel,andsaid,Samuel,mysonAnd heanswered,HereamI.
17Andhesaid,WhatisthethingthattheLORDhathsaid untothee?Ipraytheehideitnotfromme:Goddosoto thee,andmorealso,ifthouhideanythingfrommeofall thethingsthathesaiduntothee
18AndSamueltoldhimeverywhit,andhidnothingfrom him.Andhesaid,ItistheLORD:lethimdowhatseemeth himgood
19AndSamuelgrew,andtheLORDwaswithhim,and didletnoneofhiswordsfalltotheground.
20AndallIsraelfromDaneventoBeershebaknewthat SamuelwasestablishedtobeaprophetoftheLORD 21AndtheLORDappearedagaininShiloh:fortheLORD revealedhimselftoSamuelinShilohbythewordofthe LORD
CHAPTER4
1AndthewordofSamuelcametoallIsrael.NowIsrael wentoutagainstthePhilistinestobattle,andpitchedbeside Ebenezer:andthePhilistinespitchedinAphek
2AndthePhilistinesputthemselvesinarrayagainstIsrael: andwhentheyjoinedbattle,Israelwassmittenbeforethe Philistines:andtheyslewofthearmyinthefieldabout fourthousandmen.
3Andwhenthepeoplewerecomeintothecamp,the eldersofIsraelsaid,WhereforehaththeLORDsmittenus todaybeforethePhilistines?Letusfetchthearkofthe covenantoftheLORDoutofShilohuntous,that,whenit comethamongus,itmaysaveusoutofthehandofour enemies.
4SothepeoplesenttoShiloh,thattheymightbringfrom thencethearkofthecovenantoftheLORDofhosts,which dwellethbetweenthecherubims:andthetwosonsofEli, HophniandPhinehas,weretherewiththearkofthe covenantofGod
5AndwhenthearkofthecovenantoftheLORDcame intothecamp,allIsraelshoutedwithagreatshout,sothat theearthrangagain.
6AndwhenthePhilistinesheardthenoiseoftheshout, theysaid,Whatmeaneththenoiseofthisgreatshoutinthe campoftheHebrews?Andtheyunderstoodthatthearkof theLORDwascomeintothecamp
7AndthePhilistineswereafraid,fortheysaid,Godis comeintothecamp.Andtheysaid,Woeuntous!forthere hathnotbeensuchathingheretofore
8Woeuntous!whoshalldeliverusoutofthehandof thesemightyGods?thesearetheGodsthatsmotethe Egyptianswithalltheplaguesinthewilderness
9Bestrong,andquityourselveslikemen,OyePhilistines, thatyebenotservantsuntotheHebrews,astheyhavebeen toyou:quityourselveslikemen,andfight
10AndthePhilistinesfought,andIsraelwassmitten,and theyfledeverymanintohistent:andtherewasavery greatslaughter;fortherefellofIsraelthirtythousand footmen

21AndshenamedthechildIchabod,saying,Thegloryis departedfromIsrael:becausethearkofGodwastaken, andbecauseofherfatherinlawandherhusband.

1AndthePhilistinestookthearkofGod,andbroughtit fromEbenezeruntoAshdod
2WhenthePhilistinestookthearkofGod,theybroughtit intothehouseofDagon,andsetitbyDagon.
3AndwhentheyofAshdodaroseearlyonthemorrow, behold,Dagonwasfallenuponhisfacetotheearthbefore thearkoftheLORD.AndtheytookDagon,andsethimin hisplaceagain
4Andwhentheyaroseearlyonthemorrowmorning, behold,Dagonwasfallenuponhisfacetotheground beforethearkoftheLORD;andtheheadofDagonand boththepalmsofhishandswerecutoffuponthethreshold; onlythestumpofDagonwaslefttohim.
5ThereforeneitherthepriestsofDagon,noranythatcome intoDagon'shouse,treadonthethresholdofDagonin Ashdoduntothisday.
6ButthehandoftheLORDwasheavyuponthemof Ashdod,andhedestroyedthem,andsmotethemwith emerods,evenAshdodandthecoaststhereof 7AndwhenthemenofAshdodsawthatitwasso,they said,ThearkoftheGodofIsraelshallnotabidewithus: forhishandissoreuponus,anduponDagonourgod
8Theysentthereforeandgatheredallthelordsofthe Philistinesuntothem,andsaid,Whatshallwedowiththe arkoftheGodofIsrael?Andtheyanswered,Letthearkof theGodofIsraelbecarriedaboutuntoGathAndthey carriedthearkoftheGodofIsraelaboutthither.
9Anditwasso,that,aftertheyhadcarrieditabout,the handoftheLORDwasagainstthecitywithaverygreat destruction:andhesmotethemenofthecity,bothsmall andgreat,andtheyhademerodsintheirsecretparts
10ThereforetheysentthearkofGodtoEkronAndit cametopass,asthearkofGodcametoEkron,thatthe Ekronitescriedout,saying,Theyhavebroughtaboutthe arkoftheGodofIsraeltous,toslayusandourpeople
11Sotheysentandgatheredtogetherallthelordsofthe Philistines,andsaid,SendawaythearkoftheGodof Israel,andletitgoagaintohisownplace,thatitslayus not,andourpeople:fortherewasadeadlydestruction throughoutallthecity;thehandofGodwasveryheavy there

1AndthearkoftheLORDwasinthecountryofthe Philistinessevenmonths.
2AndthePhilistinescalledforthepriestsandthediviners, saying,WhatshallwedotothearkoftheLORD?tellus wherewithweshallsendittohisplace.
3Andtheysaid,IfyesendawaythearkoftheGodof Israel,senditnotempty;butinanywisereturnhima trespassoffering:thenyeshallbehealed,anditshallbe knowntoyouwhyhishandisnotremovedfromyou
4Thensaidthey,Whatshallbethetrespassofferingwhich weshallreturntohim?Theyanswered,Fivegolden emerods,andfivegoldenmice,accordingtothenumberof thelordsofthePhilistines:foroneplaguewasonyouall, andonyourlords.
5Whereforeyeshallmakeimagesofyouremerods,and imagesofyourmicethatmartheland;andyeshallgive gloryuntotheGodofIsrael:peradventurehewilllighten hishandfromoffyou,andfromoffyourgods,andfrom offyourland.
6Whereforethendoyehardenyourhearts,asthe EgyptiansandPharaohhardenedtheirhearts?whenhehad wroughtwonderfullyamongthem,didtheynotletthe peoplego,andtheydeparted?
7Nowthereforemakeanewcart,andtaketwomilchkine, onwhichtherehathcomenoyoke,andtiethekinetothe cart,andbringtheircalveshomefromthem:
8AndtakethearkoftheLORD,andlayituponthecart; andputthejewelsofgold,whichyereturnhimfora trespassoffering,inacofferbythesidethereof;andsendit away,thatitmaygo
9Andsee,ifitgoethupbythewayofhisowncoastto Bethshemesh,thenhehathdoneusthisgreatevil:butif
not,thenweshallknowthatitisnothishandthatsmoteus: itwasachancethathappenedtous
10Andthemendidso;andtooktwomilchkine,andtied themtothecart,andshutuptheircalvesathome:
11AndtheylaidthearkoftheLORDuponthecart,and thecofferwiththemiceofgoldandtheimagesoftheir emerods
12Andthekinetookthestraightwaytothewayof Bethshemesh,andwentalongthehighway,lowingasthey went,andturnednotasidetotherighthandortotheleft; andthelordsofthePhilistineswentafterthemuntothe borderofBethshemesh
13AndtheyofBethshemeshwerereapingtheirwheat harvestinthevalley:andtheylifteduptheireyes,andsaw theark,andrejoicedtoseeit
14AndthecartcameintothefieldofJoshua,a Bethshemite,andstoodthere,wheretherewasagreat stone:andtheyclavethewoodofthecart,andofferedthe kineaburntofferinguntotheLORD
15AndtheLevitestookdownthearkoftheLORD,and thecofferthatwaswithit,whereinthejewelsofgoldwere, andputthemonthegreatstone:andthemenof Bethshemeshofferedburntofferingsandsacrificed sacrificesthesamedayuntotheLORD
16AndwhenthefivelordsofthePhilistineshadseenit, theyreturnedtoEkronthesameday.
17AndthesearethegoldenemerodswhichthePhilistines returnedforatrespassofferinguntotheLORD;forAshdod one,forGazaone,forAskelonone,forGathone,for Ekronone;
18Andthegoldenmice,accordingtothenumberofallthe citiesofthePhilistinesbelongingtothefivelords,bothof fencedcities,andofcountryvillages,evenuntothegreat stoneofAbel,whereontheysetdownthearkoftheLORD: whichstoneremainethuntothisdayinthefieldofJoshua, theBethshemite
19AndhesmotethemenofBethshemesh,becausethey hadlookedintothearkoftheLORD,evenhesmoteofthe peoplefiftythousandandthreescoreandtenmen:andthe peoplelamented,becausetheLORDhadsmittenmanyof thepeoplewithagreatslaughter.
20AndthemenofBethshemeshsaid,Whoisabletostand beforethisholyLORDGod?andtowhomshallhegoup fromus?
21Andtheysentmessengerstotheinhabitantsof Kirjathjearim,saying,ThePhilistineshavebroughtagain thearkoftheLORD;comeyedown,andfetchituptoyou

1AndthemenofKirjathjearimcame,andfetchedupthe arkoftheLORD,andbroughtitintothehouseof Abinadabinthehill,andsanctifiedEleazarhissontokeep thearkoftheLORD
2Anditcametopass,whilethearkabodeinKirjathjearim, thatthetimewaslong;foritwastwentyyears:andallthe houseofIsraellamentedaftertheLORD
3AndSamuelspakeuntoallthehouseofIsrael,saying,If yedoreturnuntotheLORDwithallyourhearts,thenput awaythestrangegodsandAshtarothfromamongyou,and prepareyourheartsuntotheLORD,andservehimonly: andhewilldeliveryououtofthehandofthePhilistines
4ThenthechildrenofIsraeldidputawayBaalimand Ashtaroth,andservedtheLORDonly
5AndSamuelsaid,GatherallIsraeltoMizpeh,andIwill prayforyouuntotheLORD
6AndtheygatheredtogethertoMizpeh,anddrewwater, andpoureditoutbeforetheLORD,andfastedonthatday, andsaidthere,WehavesinnedagainsttheLORDAnd SamueljudgedthechildrenofIsraelinMizpeh.
7AndwhenthePhilistinesheardthatthechildrenofIsrael weregatheredtogethertoMizpeh,thelordsofthe PhilistineswentupagainstIsrael.Andwhenthechildrenof Israelheardit,theywereafraidofthePhilistines

11AndthemenofIsraelwentoutofMizpeh,andpursued thePhilistines,andsmotethem,untiltheycameunder Bethcar.
12ThenSamueltookastone,andsetitbetweenMizpeh andShen,andcalledthenameofitEbenezer,saying, HithertohaththeLORDhelpedus.
13SothePhilistinesweresubdued,andtheycamenomore intothecoastofIsrael:andthehandoftheLORDwas againstthePhilistinesallthedaysofSamuel.
14AndthecitieswhichthePhilistineshadtakenfrom IsraelwererestoredtoIsrael,fromEkronevenuntoGath; andthecoaststhereofdidIsraeldeliveroutofthehandsof thePhilistinesAndtherewaspeacebetweenIsraelandthe Amorites
15AndSamueljudgedIsraelallthedaysofhislife.
16AndhewentfromyeartoyearincircuittoBethel,and Gilgal,andMizpeh,andjudgedIsraelinallthoseplaces.

3Andhissonswalkednotinhisways,butturnedaside afterlucre,andtookbribes,andpervertedjudgment.
4ThenalltheeldersofIsraelgatheredthemselvestogether, andcametoSamueluntoRamah,
5Andsaiduntohim,Behold,thouartold,andthysons walknotinthyways:nowmakeusakingtojudgeuslike allthenations
6ButthethingdispleasedSamuel,whentheysaid,Giveus akingtojudgeusAndSamuelprayeduntotheLORD
7AndtheLORDsaiduntoSamuel,Hearkenuntothevoice ofthepeopleinallthattheysayuntothee:fortheyhave notrejectedthee,buttheyhaverejectedme,thatIshould notreignoverthem
8Accordingtoalltheworkswhichtheyhavedonesince thedaythatIbroughtthemupoutofEgyptevenuntothis day,wherewiththeyhaveforsakenme,andservedother gods,sodotheyalsountothee
9Nowthereforehearkenuntotheirvoice:howbeityet protestsolemnlyuntothem,andshewthemthemannerof thekingthatshallreignoverthem

11Andhesaid,Thiswillbethemannerofthekingthat shallreignoveryou:Hewilltakeyoursons,andappoint themforhimself,forhischariots,andtobehishorsemen; andsomeshallrunbeforehischariots
12Andhewillappointhimcaptainsoverthousands,and captainsoverfifties;andwillsetthemtoearhisground, andtoreaphisharvest,andtomakehisinstrumentsofwar, andinstrumentsofhischariots.
13Andhewilltakeyourdaughterstobeconfectionaries, andtobecooks,andtobebakers
14Andhewilltakeyourfields,andyourvineyards,and youroliveyards,eventhebestofthem,andgivethemto hisservants
15Andhewilltakethetenthofyourseed,andofyour vineyards,andgivetohisofficers,andtohisservants
