ForhesawthatIhaddeliveredalamb outofthemouthofabear,andputthe beartodeath;buthadslainthelamb, beinggrievedconcerningitthatitcould notlive,andthatwehadeatenit.

AndregardingthismatterIwaswroth withJosephuntilthedaythathewassold.

Andthespiritofhatredwasinme, and IwishednoteithertohearofJosephwith theears, orseehimwiththeeyes, becauseherebukedustoourfaces sayingthatwewereeatingoftheflock withoutJudah.

Forwhatsoeverthingshetoldour father,hebelievedhim.

Iconfessnowmygin,mychildren, thatoftentimesIwishedtokillhim, becauseIhatedhimfrommyheart.

Moreover,Ihatedhimyetmorefor hisdreams;andIwishedtolick1him outofthelandoftheliving,evenasan oxlickethupthegrassofthefield.

AndJudahsoldhimsecretlytothe Ishmaelites.

ThustheGodofourfathersdelivered himfromourhands,thatweshouldnot workgreatlawlessnessinIsrael.

Andnow,mychildren,hearkentothe wordsoftruthtoworkrighteousness,and allthelawoftheMostHigh,andgonot astraythroughthespiritofhatred,forit isevilinallthedoingsofmen.

Whatsoeveramandoeththehater abominatethhim:andthoughaman workeththelawoftheLord,hepraiseth himnot;thoughamanfeareththeLord, andtakethpleasureinthatwhichis righteous,helovethhimnot.

Hedispraiseththetruth,heenvieth himthatprospereth,hewelcomethevilspeaking,helovetharrogance,forhatred blindethhissoul;asIalsothenlookedon Joseph.
