Thereforeallthingsarebytwos,oneover againsttheother.
Fortherearetwowaysofgoodandevil,and withthesearethetwoinclinationsinour breastsdiscriminatingthem
Thereforeifthesoultakepleasureinthegood inclination,allitsactionsareinrighteousness; andifitsinitstraightwayrepenteth.
For,havingitsthoughtssetupon righteousness,andcastingawaywickedness,it straightwayoverthroweththeevil,and uprooteththesin.
Butifitinclinetotheevilinclination,allits actionsareinwickedness,anditdrivethaway thegood,andcleavethtotheevil,andisruled byBeliar;eventhoughitworkwhatisgood,he pervertethittoevil
Forwheneveritbeginnethtodogood,he forceththeissueoftheactionintoevilforhim, seeingthatthetreasureoftheinclinationis filledwithanevilspirit.
Apersonthenmaywithwordshelpthegood forthesakeoftheevil,yettheissueofthe actionleadethtomischief.
Thereisamanwhoshowethnocompassion uponhimwhoservethhisturninevil;andthis thingbathtwoaspects,butthewholeisevil.
Andthereisamanthatlovethhimthat workethevil,becausehewouldpreferevento dieinevilforhissake;andconcerningthisitis clearthatitbathtwoaspects,butthewholeis anevilwork.
Thoughindeedhehavelove,yetishe wickedwhoconcealethwhatisevilforthesake ofthegoodname,buttheendoftheaction tendethuntoevil.

Suchmenarehares;clean,--likethosethat dividethehoof,butinverydeedareunclean 19ForGodinthetablesofthecommandments haththusdeclared.
Butdonotye,mychildren,weartwofaces likeuntothem,ofgoodnessandofwickedness; butcleaveuntogoodnessonly,forGodhathhis habitationtherein,andmendesireit.
Butfromwickednessfleeaway,destroying theevilinclinationbyyourgoodworks;for theythataredouble-facedservenotGod,but theirownlusts,sothattheymaypleaseBeliar andmenlikeuntothemselves
Forgoodmen,eventheythatareofsingle face,thoughtheybethoughtbythemthatare double-facedtosin,arejustbeforeGod.

Forsuchmenareliketostagsandtohinds, becauseinthemannerofwildanimalsthey seemtobeunclean,buttheyarealtogether clean;becausetheywalkinzealfortheLord andabstainfromwhatGodalsohatethand forbiddethbyHiscommandments,wardingoff theevilfromthegood.
Yesee,mychildren,howthattherearetwo inallthings,oneagainsttheother,andtheone ishiddenbytheother:inwealthishidden covetousness,inconvivialitydrunkenness,in laughtergrief,inwedlockprofligacy.

Normayitbesaidthattruthisalie,nor rightwrong;foralltruthisunderthelight,even asallthingsareunderGod.
Allthesethings,therefore,Iprovedinmy life,andIwanderednotfromthetruthofthe Lord,andIsearchedoutthecommandmentsof theMostHigh,walkingaccordingtoallmy strengthwithsinglenessoffaceuntothatwhich isgood
Takeheed,therefore,yealso,mychildren, tothecommandmentsoftheLord,following thetruthwithsinglenessofface
Fortheythataredouble-facedareguiltyofa twofoldsin;fortheybothdotheevilthingand theyhavepleasureinthemthatdoit,following theexampleofthespiritsofdeceit,andstriving againstmankind
Doye,therefore,mychildren,keepthelaw oftheLord,andgivenotheeduntoevilasunto good;butlookuntothethingthatisreallygood, andkeepitinallcommandmentsoftheLord, havingyourconversationtherein,andresting therein.

Butifheispeacefulwithjoyhemeeteththe angelofpeace,andheleadethhimintoeternal life.
Becomenot,mychildren,asSodom,which sinnedagainsttheangelsoftheLord,and perishedforever

Thereforedoyealso,mychildren,tellthese thingstoyourchildren,thattheydisobeyHim not
ForIhaveknownthatyeshallassuredlybe disobedient,andassuredlyactungodly,not givingheedtothelawofGod,buttothe commandmentsofmen,beingcorrupted throughwickedness
