Meaning:Therearemanypromisesconcerningthe WordofGod.ThisparticularpromisetellsusthatGod's Wordwillhelpkeepusfromsin.TheWordofGodacts asacleansingagentinourheartsandminds.John15:3 says,"NowyearecleanthroughthewordwhichIhave spokenuntoyou."TheBiblecanonlykeepusfromsin ifwehideitinourhearts.
Application:Aglassofdirtywaterandapitcher ofclearwatercanbestillustratethisverse.Ifyou pourthepitcherofclearwaterintotheglassof dirtywaterandletifoverflow,itwilleventually becomeaglassofcleanwater.Whenweput God'sWordinourheartsitwillflushoutsinful thoughtsanddesires."ThewordofGod...isa discernerofthethoughtsandintentsoftheheart" (Hebrews4:12).
