The Institute for the Advancement of Minority Health partnered with Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated®, Rho Lambda Omega Chapter to restock the children’s food pantry at the Magnolia Medical Foundation. Infant formula, juice, baby food, and various snacks were delivered Saturday, March 4, 2023.
“The high cost of food plus the increasing cost of basic life necessities has caused families to lean more heavily on food pantries,” said Dr. Sandra Melvin, CEO, Institute for the Advancement of Minority Health. “Our mission is to reduce health disparities. Providing healthy food options is just one way we meet the needs of the community.”
