Dr Paul Rastall
Paul Rastall studied at Oxford and St. Andrews universities, and taught English and Linguistics at universities in the United Kingdom, Sudan, Japan, and Hong Kong. Before retirement he was a Principal Lecturer at Portsmouth University, UK, and later Visiting Fellow at Hong Kong City University and Visiting Professor at Beijing Normal University (Zhuhai). Since then he has visited universities in Czech Republic and Algeria as a guest lecturer. He has published extensively on linguistics and linguistic philosophy, and acted as a journal editor. Suravi Roy is an Assistant Professor of English in Sidho-Kanho-Birsha University, Purulia, West Bengal, India, where she has been teaching for the last three years. She is pursuing her PhD in theDepartment of English in Visva-Bharati University, Santiniketan, India, fromwhere she was awarded her MPhil degree previously. She graduated from St. Stephen’s College, Delhi and completed her Master’s degree from the University of Delhi. Dhanabal C is the Dean of the Training and Placement Centre and Associate Professor of English Bishop Heber College, Tiruchirappalli, Tamil Nādu, India. He worked as a Lecturer in
English at Rofel Arts and Commerce College, Vapi, Gujarat. Later he joined Bishop Heber College as Assistant Professor in March 2000. He is a recognized Ph.D. guide for Bharathidasan University and has teaching experience of more than twenty years. Damini Bhattacharya is a Wolfson postgraduate scholar in her first year of PhD in English at the University of Southampton, UK. She is working on challenging accounts that marginalise the role and contribution of women in a particular political revolution in India through a subaltern, feminist, and Indian postcolonial lens. She has completed her BA (Hons) in English from Scottish Church College, University of Calcutta, India, and her MA in English from St. Xavier’s University, Kolkata. She has worked as an instructional designer, designing the curriculum, and creating e-learning courses for diverse global organisations. Through her research, she believes in unearthing narratives about women’s participation in different social, political, cultural and economic situations to empower them globally. Dr Alfonso J. García-Osuna
Alfonso J. García-Osuna, Hofstra University & The City University of New York, has taught at Hofstra University for over thirty years. He specialises in medieval and early modern literature, receiving his PhD (1989) from the Graduate School of the City University of New York. He has completed post-doctoral work at the University of Valladolid, Spain, has published six books, and is a frequent contributor to specialised journals. Alfonso received primary and secondary education in Las Palmas in the Canary Islands, the place where his family originated and where he grew up.
