• To attend the Summit you must pick up your badge at the beginning of the event between 8 and 9 am on April 25th in the registration area at the Mabu Thermas Grand Resort, Brazil room.
Accessibility • Our itinerary includes guided visits to di erent parks and attractions that may require physical e ort and represent a di culty for people with physical limitations or disabilities. • Participating attractions are not required to provide accessible facilities. Some of them may have restrictions related to physical limitations.
COVID-19 Protocols for the Summit • To enter Brazil, as well as to participate in the event, you must present your o cial vaccination certi cate. • For Brazilian attendees: if you are not vaccinated, you must present a negative antigen or PCR test taken a maximum of 72 hours before the event. • The use of facemasks is not mandatory in Foz do Iguazu. However, it is recommended to use it in enclosed spaces, including transportation. • Monitor every day that you are symptom-free. You can check your symptoms using the CDC COVID-19 Self-Checker. 2. Can I invite an additional guest? • No. There will be no on-site registration. All participants must be registered by Friday, April 8, 2022. 3. What do the tours include? Do I need to bring cash? • Your badge will guarantee you access to all activities prepared by IAAPA, however we recommend attendees to be prepared with everything necessary, including money for meals that are not included in your registration, as well as incidentals. 5. What kind of security will there be at the places we visit? • Some of the facilities we will visit may subject people, bags, packages, clothing and other items to security checks and screening. 6. When does the IAAPA: Latin America, Caribbean Summit end? • The event ends on April 27th at 4 p.m. (local time).
ABOUT TRANSPORTATION IN FOZ DO IGUAZU 1. What transportation options will I have in Foz do Iguazu and where will I board the buses to attend the tours? • Your registration includes bus transportation from Mabu Thermas Grand Resort to the attractions and back.
• If you choose to arrive to the attractions on your own, IAAPA will not be responsible for your parking or parking fees. 2. How do I get from the airport to the hotel and back? • You can hire a cab service at the airport and at the Mabu Thermas Grand Resort. • UBERs are also available in Foz.
ABOUT THE WEATHER IN BRAZIL AND DRESS CODE 1. What will the weather be like during our visit to Foz do Iguazu, Brazil? • Maximum temperature during April ranges between 26ºC / 79 F and 30ºC / 86 F. • Minimum temperature during April ranges between 16ºC/ 61 F and 19ºC/66 F. 2. What should I wear during the Summit? • Business casual attire with comfortable shoes is recommended according to the weather, as the event includes walking through the attractions. • Regardless of the season, remember to bring a sweater or light jacket, good quality sunglasses, sunscreen, and a hat.
INFORMATION ABOUT BRAZIL 1. Do I need a visa to enter Brazil? • To enter Brazilian territory it is necessary to have a passport, but the obligation to present a visa depends on the the individual country. • The list of countries that require a visa to enter Brazil includes: Afghanistan, Albania, Algeria, Angola, Antigua and Barbuda, Armenia, Australia, Belarus, Belize, Cameroon, Canada, Czech Republic, China, Dominica, Dominican Republic, Egypt, El Salvador, Equatorial Guinea, Estonia, Ghana, Guinea, Haiti, Honduras, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Iran, Iraq, Jamaica, Kenya, North Korea, Lithuania, Madagascar, Mongolia, Nicaragua, New Zealand, Niger, Nigeria, Romania, Russia, Saudi Arabia, Senegal, Sudan, Ukraine, Vietnam, Yemen and Zambia. 2. What else do I need to enter Brazil?
• People entering Brazil by air must present proof of vaccination - printed or electronic - with an immunization approved by the National Health Surveillance Agency, by the World Health Organization, or by the authorities of the country where the traveler was immunized, whose last dose was applied at least fourteen days before the trip. • People without proof of vaccination against COVID-19 must present a negative COVID-19 test result, performed 24 hours before (PCR or antigen). • Country requirements are constantly changing, so it is recommended to consult the o cial websites of the competent governmental authorities in the destination country, as well as the information provided by the International Air Transport Association (IATA) https://www.iatatravelcentre.com/world.php. • We also suggest you check your reservation status and travel requirements with your selected airline. 3. Do I need any other vaccinations to enter Brazil? • Before travelling, we recommend that you contact the Brazilian consulate in your country to nd out what other vaccinations you need to enter the Brazil. • Portuguese is the o cial language of the country, however, IAAPA will provide simultaneous translation into Spanish and English throughout the summit. 3. What is the time zone in Brazil? • Brasilia - Federal District, Brazil time zone (GMT-3). 4. What currency is used in Brazil? • The currency used in Brazil is the Brazilian Real. $1 USD is equivalent to approximately 4.75 Reais. 5. What voltage and plug model is used in Brazil? • Please note that Brazil uses a voltage of 220 volts.
