Minnesota is known for its educated workforce and strong quality of life, yet recent data suggests that these strengths aren’t always translating into meaningful economic growth. A new report from the Minnesota Chamber of Commerce reveals a paradox: while Minnesota ranks among the top states for innovation and livability, it’s also seeing slower job growth in key sectors and a decline in domestic migration. As the state’s workforce ages and shrinks, business leaders and policymakers must focus on boosting productivity, innovation, and workforce development to maintain our competitive edge.
