HOME DISASTER safety in play

GAME OF SAFETY In these years it has been made urgent in the general terms the needs of a cultural maturity on the on job security and in particular more safety in case of unforeseeable events (earthquake, landslides, fire, water-flood, etc.)

In my experience, the best way to learn a thing is to test it in a necessity moment (“necessity is the mother of invention”, in order to achieve a thing, is to learn it); Quite obviously when we find ourselves in need to cope with such event, it is too late to learn.

A method in order to create artificially the type of demanded situations, without danger and to live them as experiences is “to pretend” by playing.

To play: to the building-site, to the house, with the safety regulations, to the fire, the earthquake, etc…

“THE HOUSE OF DISASTERS” a place in which experiencing bound situations, in safety, in CLEAR form. “No teaching or explanation” but playing, touching, experimentation.

My proposal is to create a place where to build a house, with rubber bricks and makes it collapse, simulating an earthquake, in that moment what to do?

How to escape? How to help other people?

Playing about these situations, it affords in case of panic to act in a direction already experienced, already played.

We play to the building-site and we experience the safety equipment in order to understand their functions and how to use them.

Where does the fire start in the house? How to be safe in case of the fire broke out? In the kitchen we simulate the several breakdown of householdelectrical appliances and the start of the fires, we will be racing against the clock to find out how to put out the fire and what to do in case of danger.

I propose the production of a FORM or a movable structure “THE HOUSE OF DISASTERS” a place to be build to be and destroy creatively, in which the first aim, safety, is hidden by playing together to grasp the meaning of it.

PLAYING. A place for everyone, where the firemen and the kids could study and play together. A great MACHINE GAME OF SAFETY

The plan preview the arrangement of six space to practice emergency, divided in: FIREMANPOLY, where the smaller kids would have their first contact with the fantastic world of the fireman.

BUILDING-SITE: a place for everyone, with the brick of foam rubber construction of a house, with crane, hat and the yard’s tools.

EXPLOSIVE-KITCHEN: for everyone, a team game in which each team have to foresee the damage and take reaction in less time before the fire broke out. The fire will be simulating by the colourful powders.

EARTHQUAKE SIMULATOR. Like in the earthquake room, an earthquake of magnitude seven will be simulated, but the action will be produce by thrust on bicycles pedals FIREMEN CIRCUIT: for adult, a distance adventure that simulates intervention situations TANKERS: real and playable, to see, to touch and to be astonished.

In order to make easier the use of the space for the users, and incite the curiosity, the playing areas are arranged around the simulators, recreational areas with innovative games, traditionally made in wood.

The household-electrics are equipped with colourful powders system and it is turning off by infrared extinguisher,, in, HOOD,CHIMNEY, OVEN, PLUGS…

CAROUSEL BICYCLE: The merry-go-round in movement produces, electricity by pedalling carousel bicycle. For up to 10years children.

EARTHQUAKE SIMULATOR: the earthquake is cause by pedalling and shaking of the small room till magnitude 7.

Useful to crate mathematical games or constructions, in order to enjoy better the experiences.

THE ARCHE: is an idea to convert in to THE FIREMEN TRUCK made in wood.

Other fantastic cooperative games and of exchange in order to stimulate the contact between the public.
