Demonstrations This year our Easter workshop was held at the farm of Christian and Sinead Keenan, Threemilehouse, Co. Monaghan. Our young members were put through their paces on topics such as clipping, handling and stock judging. We would like to thank Brendan Greenan and David Boyd who provided their expertise on the day. Also we would like to thank the Keenan family as the demonstration would not be possible without a venue and to Sinead for the lovely food provided. We held our second demo of the year in June at the farm of David and Kenny Boyd. This demo consisted of our clipping competition and a focus on or handling as show season grew ever closer. Brendan Greenan selected Colin Todd and Rachel Corley as the winners and they went on to represent the club at the National competition. We would again like to thank Brendan for all his help and to the Boyd brothers for the use of their farm, and to Mary Rafferty who provided refreshments on the day. Calf Show This year our calf show was held at Virgina show centre Co. Cavan. We had a very large number of entries and an excellent attendance on the day. We would like to thank our sponsors; Virginia Show, Smith& Foley Veterinary, Intercool Engineers and Auctus Champion Milk Replacer.
