Conditions of Sale

The bidding is to be regulated by the Auctioneer, in terms of “Euro” bids (inclusive of VAT) charged to buyers. The Auctioneer will regulate bidding as he sees fit. The highest bidder to be the buyer, and if any dispute shall arise the lot in dispute shall be put up again and re-sold, or the Auctioneer may declare a purchaser at their discretion and their discretion shall be final. The Auctioneer reserves the right to refuse the bid of any person without being called upon to give a reason for such action.

All lots to be paid for at the close of sale. No lot or lots shall be removed from the sale premises until paid for and a pass out to be obtained from the Auctioneer’s clerk, but each and every lot shall immediately at the fall of the hammer be considered as delivered and be and remain in every respect at the absolute risk of the respective purchaser or the purchases thereof, and shall be removed from the sale premises at the purchaser’s expense. Loading shall be the duty and responsibility of the purchaser.

The purchaser to give his name and dwelling place, and to remove stock immediately after sale.

Every care has been taken in the compilation of this catalogue but no responsibility is taken by the Auctioneer for any error appearing therein or in regarding to the qualifications of the animals, and all purchases must be made on this distinct understanding.

All statements in this catalogue or any made by the Auctioneers at the time of sale, also the identification of the animals, are the entire responsibility of the vendors. The Auctioneer takes no personal responsibility for the correctness of such statements or identities.

The Auctioneer acts as agent for the vendors and any action taken by a purchaser must be against the vendor and not against the Auctioneer or Kerry Holstein Friesian Breeders.

Neither the Auctioneer nor the Holstein Friesian club will be responsible for any accident through fire or any other cause whatsoever, nor any damage done by the animal prior to, during or after the sale.

If any conditions are unfulfilled, the vendor or the Auctioneer shall have the power to resell the lot or lots concerned retaining any surplus and charging any deficiency to the defaulter.

The Committee shall not be responsible for any accidents that may occur to visitors, exhibitors or to animals exhibited at the show and sale.

Along with the promoting of the Holstein Friesian Breed in County Kerry, our immediate priorities include the promotion of Milk recording, grading up to Pedigree status and type classification of Pedigree cows.

Our club will help you to get a balance on your breeding policy, fertility, protein, production and conformation, thereby ensuring the best possible performance from your herd. Profitable milk production is all about breeding, feeding and management. We believe in the importance of breeding a high percentage of your own replacements.
