NOW OPEN: DESCEND 21 AND NEWLY-REFRESHED ROCKS

Hyatt Regency Orlando is celebrating two exciting food & beverage debuts – the opening of Descend 21 and updated Rocks Lounge!

Descend 21 is the new place to be on Orlando’s International Drive. Designed for

hosting private events, the social and entertainment venue features an indoor-outdoor layout with a centrally located bar, communal tables and lounge seating. An expanded terrace with fire pits overlooks HRO’s Grotto Pool. Guests can enjoy billiards or TopGolf® Swing Suites while tuning into multiple TVs for the latest sports action.

Created by Executive Sous Chef Romel Begonia, Descend 21’s mouthwatering menu highlights fresh takes on popular dishes and house made sweets. The signature dessert, Bourbon Bread

Pudding, is made with Descend 21 Barrel Bourbon a one-of-a-kind batch curated by iconic Kentucky distillery Buffalo Trace.

Located on the hotel’s lobby level, Rocks Lounge recently debuted an entirely new look. In addition to an updated, modern color palette, the space has new banquettes and lounge chair seating. Refreshed finishes and additional communal tables allow for a variety of seating and flexible space for multiple private parties.

AbbVie Pharmaceuticals returned to HRO for its annual National Sales Meeting. The 700-attendee program was well taken care of – as their planner shared in this note of gratitude to our Associate Director of Events Matthew Echevarria.

“Where do I start? Thank you. Thank you for your hard work, dedication, bright smile, and positive attitude. No matter what we threw at you, you smiled, shined, and made it happen. Our program was an incredible success and it was only successful because of your hard work and dedication to our group. Every team at the hotel knew about the details of the group and were ready to execute as soon as we arrived.

When I walked in…knowing we were in a sold-out situation for days, and not knowing a soul from my on-site logistics team, I. Was. Nervous. Perhaps nervous isn’t even the word. I was terrified. The Hyatt team was incredible. Monday morning, you would never know the dance team was there. The staff did a flawless job cleaning from head to toe. Not a spec of glitter or hairspray residue left.

You gave me a gift of not worrying. Your white glove service to your clients is unbelievable. You are a true professional and I wish every single hotel had a Matthew. WE HEART HPN GLOBAL

HPN Global felt the love during a Valentine’s-themed FAM for 11 associates. In addition to wearing special t-shirts, the HRO team hosted a game of hotel trivia based on information shared during the site. Those who answered correctly received gift cards inside Valentine’s Day cards. The site culminated with a color changing cocktail symbolizing partnership and a “rose ceremony” experience with General Manager Brian Comes! Broadway on the Rocks debuted to a sold-out crowd in newly-renovated Rocks Lounge. Our new cabaret series kicked off with a performance by the Broadway Bradshaws (WICKED, Jersey Boys). Upcoming shows will feature talent from Hair, Rock of Ages and more.
