Today’s Mascots are our U9 Reds and Whites.

Hutton Reds U9 (Season 23/34) had an extremely successful season in 22/23, performing well in the BCFA 5-a-side Premier League and managing to hold their own playing a year up in the BCFA Division 1 7-a-side league. During the Summer, the Reds entered four tournaments, reaching the final on three occasions and coming out victorious on two occasions, but losing one final on penalties to an extremely strong Ryan side. The Red team will be playing in the ECHO league next season and are hoping for similar successes to the prior season.

Hutton Whites had a slower start but throughout the course of the season they managed to add to their squad and ended the season very strongly. The Whites have yet again strengthened their squad over summer months and will start next season in Division 1 of the BCFA with aspirations of making it to the premier league before Christmas. The whites played well in the tournaments they entered over the summer and certainly gave a few top ECHO teams a scare or two. The pipeline of players is looking good and we fully expect to see some of the white players to get the opportunity to play in the Reds.

On the subject of player pipeline, there is also five other Hutton U9 teams entering the BCFA next season and I am sure we’ll be seeing some of them as mascots in future games!
