EFFICIENCY IS THE KEY TO PRODUCTIVITY Hello! I’m Henric Andersson, president of Husqvarna Construction Products. I took over the helm last August when my predecessor Anders Ströby retired after his long career of extremely successful and dedicated leadership at Husqvarna Construction Products. The reason that I have come to love this company is that there is an important difference between Husqvarna and other leading manufacturers in this industry. While many strive for brute force, Husqvarna believes in a total approach to performance, including all aspects of the concrete cutting operator’s workday. This belief is expressed in the way we design and innovate our products and systems, always with the operator in focus. All components work together seamlessly to make it easier for the operator so that he/she can work more efficiently, effortlessly and safely. You’ll notice the difference when you run a Husqvarna machine. However more importantly, you will physically experience our focus on efficient ergonomics when you carry the equipment to and from the work site, when assembling and de-assembling it and when servicing it. This is where you’ll be saving time and effort, increasing your production rate, improving your bottom line. Simply put, Husqvarna equipment is designed to work with you. Feel the difference, and you’ll make a difference. All the best, HENRIC ANDERSSON President Construction

DESIGNED AROUND YOUR JOB TO MAKE YOU MORE EFFICIENT

“The total package of Husqvarna is just right!” NICHOLAS KASULKE, FOUNDER AND CEO NK BAU GMBH, HALFING, GERMANY

Did you know that a demolition robot from Husqvarna can also be used as power source for a hydraulic wire saw? That our newest high-frequency power pack can be used for no less than six different types (currently) of Husqvarna equipment? These are examples of the user-focused system approach that’s characetristic for Husqvarna. When we talk about a Husqvarna system we mean a setup of equipment and diamond tools that interact with each other in order to match a specific application. Liquids and other chemicals can also be part of such a system, as is the case with HiPERFLOOR. As an operator you spend a lot of time each workday on transporting, mounting and dismounting your equipment. By designing our systems to make this job easier and less timeconsuming we believe that we can help you get more time for the productive part of the work. In short – getting more done in a day!

“With Husqvarna PRIME™ equipment we can work twice as fast.” JARI MAJAVA, CEO HAASLAHTI OY, FINLAND

WALL SAWING

LOOKING FOR A MULTI-CAPABLE WALL SAWING SYSTEM? Are you the kind of person who likes to be prepared for any challenge, usually carrying a swiss army knife or some other multi-tool in your pocket? Then you’ll probably like the way we have designed our wall sawing systems. They are as close as you’ll get to a high-frequency powered multi-tool for all kinds of concrete cutting. If we were asked to explain the benefits in one sentence, it would be something like this: Husqvarna wall sawing equipment, diamod tools and accessories form a system designed to maximise your daily turn over through high power, easy handling, smooth cutting and excellent versatility. One example: To avoid overcutting in corners you might want to use a handheld chain cutter. In most cases the chain cutter requires a separate power unit. However with Husqvarna you’ll only need one power pack – the new PP 490 – for both the wall saw and our new PRIME™ chain cutter K 6500 Chain as well as for other K 6500 cutters. Speaking of versatility: You can easliy convert your Husqvarna wall saw WS 482 HF or WS 440 HF to a wire saw by fitting the saw unit to the CS 10 wire saw. This can help you expand your business by doing more jobs and increasing the usage rate for your equipment. To find out more about all the benefits of Husqvarna wall saws and PRIME™ products, contact your nearest Husqvarna service centre. Visit www.husqvarnacp.com for contact details and directions!

HUSQVARNA PP 490 With Husqvarna PP 490 you can power your large wall sawing systems Husqvarna WS 482 as well as your Husqvarna PRIME™ handheld power cutters and drill motor. This means more work done with less equipment.

AVOID OVERCUTTING CORNERS!

It is also ideal for cutting irregular or small openings (as small as 11 × 11 cm).

FLOOR GRINDING

DROP THE HANDLES AND UNLEASH YOUR TRUE POTENTIAL! Husqvarna PG 820 RC and the all-new Husqvarna PG 680 RC are the world’s first r emote-controlled, self-propelled concrete floor grinders with Dual Drive Technology™. While your machine is working its way forward, you can apply HiPERFLOOR chemicals, prepare the next set of tools, adjust hoses etc, which means more productive use of your working time. Compared to the already efficient standard versions of PG 820 and PG 680, the RC versions enable up to 30% higher productivity. They also allow for more ergonomic operation and effortless transportation to and from the work site. The unique oscillation function is a new, innovative feature that enables an astonishing end-result by providing an even flatter floor. PG 820 with its 820 mm grinding width is very suitable for industrial applications, while the 680 mm grinding width on PG 680 RC enables it to pass through normal door openings in offices, hotels and domestic areas. These machines are excellent choices for concrete floor preparation and repair as well as all polishing and grinding applications – both wet and dry. To find out more about all the benefits of Husqvarna floor grinding equipment and tools, contact your nearest Husqvarna service centre. Visit www.husqvarnacp.com for contact details and directions!

HUSQVARNA HiPERFLOOR® – DURABLE CONCRETE POLISHING

REMOTE CONTROL The robust remote control unit features a state-of-the-art display and intuitive two-way communication with the machine. You can easily set grinding parameters and receive continuous feedback during operation.

Concrete is one of the most durable surfaces known to man. However by mechanically refining the s urface through grinding, polishing and chemical treatment, we can bring the surface to a whole new level of beauty, functionality and strength. With different specified processes, a flooring solution can be tailored to fit any requirement – aesthetic, flatness, gloss and price. Only by using Husqvarna equipment, diamond tools and concrete chemicals can a polished concrete floor truly be called HiPERFLOOR.

HUSQVARNA PRODUCT RANGE

CREATING VALUE BY A TOTAL APPROACH ON YOUR WORKDAY You want equipment that facilitates your work. It should be easy to load and unload, withstand rough handling, be easy to mount and dismount, and of course be smooth and efficient to use. Diamond tools and equipment should be matched to each other and help you accomplish your task quickly, efficiently and profitably.   Hence, we at Husqvarna focus not only on brute strength when developing our products. We see the user, machine and diamond tool as a whole, seeking an optimal balance of power and usability. Minimising the setup time always means maximising the productive time. Compare, and you will notice the difference.

SOFF-CUT

CUT JUST ONE HOUR AFTER POURING!

Husqvarna Soff-Cut is an ideal system for ultra-early sawing of contraction joints after pouring concrete slabs. It’s the best solution for minimising the risk of random cracking, which is one of the most costly and aggravating problems faced by a concrete contractor. The main benefits are the high production rates combined with the possibility to pour and cut the same day, and of course, the tidy end result achived by only shallow cutting depths. THE PROBLEM: RANDOM CRACKING

As concrete hydrates and begins to set, it develops internal stresses. The objective in controlling shrinkage cracking is to relieve these stresses before they seek their own relief in the form of a random crack. THE SOLUTION: MAKING STRAIGHT JOINTS ULTRA-EARLY

With the Husqvarna Soff-Cut Ultra Early Entry™ dry-cutting system, joints are sawn in the green zone – within the first hour or two after finishing. The Husqvarna Soff-Cut technology is based on the combination of the Soff-Cut blade and skid plate. The up-cutting rotation of the blade combines with the skid plate, which applies pressure to the surface to prevent chipping and spalling. Soff-Cut allows you to cut in the green zone as part of the finishing process, to effectively control shrinkage cracking.

“These robots are the best thing that has ever happened to my income statement.”

CRUSHERS The crushers ensure great performance in a variety of applications such as demolition of concrete and brick constructions, stair cases, roofs as well as sensitive locations inside buildings.

DUKE LONG, OWNER OF INTERSTATE SAWING WEST BEND, WI, USA

GRAPPLERS Rotatable multi grapplers grapplers offering low operating weight with high gripping volume. Maximum loading performance and high gripping force help to increase the demolition performance as well.

STEER SHEARER Rotatable steel shearer with low weight and high shearing force. Ideal for precision work in confined spaces with a high requirement of shearing force. BUCKETS The new range of buckets for Husqvarna DXR’s are available in standard, wide and narrow versions to suit a variety of excavating jobs.

HUSQVARNA DXR 140 Our most compact remote demolition robot. Very versatile with a range of attachments such as grapplers, buckets, a crusher and a shearer. The narrow measurements makes it suitable for demolition work in cramped spaces.

HUSQVARNA DXR 300 Our most powerful remote demolition robot, combining low weight and high knocking force. It delivers the highest knocking force in its weight class with the hammer SB 302.

REMOTE DEMOLITION

REMOTE WORKMATES READY TO TACKLE YOUR HEAVIEST WORK TASKS When a demolition job is too heavy, too hazardous or too time-consuming for human workforce, these remote-controlled, 3-phase electrically powered robots are the ideal workmates. With their different tools they can be used for breaking and chiseling, crushing, metal shearing, excavating, shoveling, sorting and lifting. Including the feature packages, the five DXR models are available in a total of 17 different variants. CONSTRUCTION APPLICATIONS

SPECIAL APPLICATIONS

With a DXR you can dismantle heavy structures of concrete, brick or steel outdoors and indoors, also in places where you have to avoid noise and vibrations. DXR’s are the ideal machines for demolition of partial structures, such as staircases, where a high degree of precision is needed.

When working in higher ambient temperatures, Husqvarna DXR can work continuously with full power if it’s equipped with the Enhanced Cooling package (P2) which is available for all DXR models except DXR 140. This enables higher productivity in appli cations such as cement kilns and steel factories.

DXR’s can crawl through small openings or be lowered down in narrow shafts to do a job while the operator stands safely and conveniently at distance. The transportation of heavy demolished construction material from the worksite to an outside heap can safely and easily be done with a DXR.

DXR’s can also be used for de-slagging in hot melting plants and similar applications, when equipped with the Heat Protection package (P3), This package protects vital parts from damage caused by radiant heating as well as conduction heating. Available for DXR 270, DXR 300 and DXR 310.

HUSQVARNA SERVICE

HUSQVARNA TECHNICAL EXPERTS – ALWAYS AT YOUR SERVICE As a professional user, you depend on your equipment and diamond tools to being available and always in order so that you can work efficiently without downtime. Breakdowns are unthinkable when the timeplan is tight, and if something unexpected does occur you need to solve the problem quickly. Husqvarna products are built to withstand tough working conditions for long periods. But the wear is hard on all equipment used professionally, so you need to service it properly. The best way to prevent problems, unwanted downtime and unplanned loss of production capacity is to let an authorised Husqvarna technician check the equipment regularly to detect potential sources of error and replace worn parts before they cause problems. This is done by maintaining each machine regularly according to its service schedule. The preventive service job can be planned in time so that the disturbance of your production is minimal.

26

YOU CAN DO THE BASIC SERVICE JOBS The daily inspection and other minor service jobs you can handle yourself, perhaps with the aid of the instruction videos available on our official YouTube channel and the service instructions provided in the operator’s manuals for all Husqvarna products. These are free to download on our website. Even better is, of course, if your company has its own workshop ready to do the job. Our service team is on hand to help train your operatives in the basics if needed.

LET THE EXPERTS DO THE REST The more advanced service jobs and repairs are always better handed over to the specially trained Husqvarna technicians. Many of our customers – professional users as well as rental companies – have already chosen to outsource all technical service to their local Husqvarna Service Centre. In many cases this is the most cost-effective solution for the customer.

TIGHT, EFFICIENT ORGANISATION To manage the growing demand for technical services. Husqvarna has invested in creating a tight, efficient service organisation built on high technical competence, efficient logistics and digital technology. Husqvarna’s Global Service Director Richard Bälter can hardly conceal the pride in his voice when he praises his field technicians: “Our skilled, highly committed field service crew has a strong customer focus. These guys are passionate about Husqvarna products and eager to provide the best possible service and advice to our customers. Let them take care of your equipment so you can focus on your core business!” 27
