The Husky Tennis Tradition Success, Excellence...SCSU TENNIS In 2009, the Huskies entered a new era as an independent NCAA Division II program. A member of the historic North Central Conference from 1982 to 2008, the Huskies won 15 NCC titles and seven consecutive titles from 2002 to 2008. The NCC disbanded at the end of the 2007-08 academic year. The Huskies completed the 2010 season by earning their 10th consecutive bid to the NCAA Division II tournament. In 2009, the Huskies set a new school record for the most dual match wins in a season with 25 victories. The old record of 24 wins was set in 2002 with a 24-7 record. Under the leadership of head coach Jerry Anderson, the Huskies have been a perennial regional tennis power at the NCAA Division II level. In fact, the Huskies have gained a bid to the NCAA tournament every year since 2001. The Huskies also enjoy one of the area's top indoor tennis faclities at the Gold's Gym Tennis Complex in nearby Sartell. This facility features five courts and an outstanding hardcourt playing surface.
