The site is surrounded by six different locations. From the east, two museumes and a library. from the west, a university building of Pittsburgh and a centre of international study. The site is small comparing to the surrounded objects; that gives a functional importance and the location can be used as a link between it and the buildings around and that was the main goal of the design concept.

DOGLEG ALLEY DISCURSIVE DESIGN

The goal of this project is to turn around a bland alleyway in Bowling Green known as the “Dogleg Alley� into a bountiful place. The outputs is quick conceptual vignettes and snippets of placemaking ideas. Located between Finders and 118 North Main Street in downtown, the alley is imagined as a vibrant public space and place for the public. The concept is produced in a diagrammatic way to create communication between the street, the indiveduals and the structure.

The structure is designed along with the alley to give an opportunity for the individuals to enjoy and interact with it.

The materials is supposed to be thick plastic or compressed wood; the materials with less weight to make easy to assemble and sort of flexible.

With flashy and bright color to create an attractive focal point and satisfy the alley and bring more visitors

URBANISM Eco-Ag Vision

pursues a socially and culturally tuned, ecological-agricultural master plan vision for Toledo’s Junction Neighborhood, one that is projected for the year 2050.

Situated in proximity to Toledo’s key organizations and resources, the neighborhood contains a near future estimate of around 60% vacant land. Therefore, it is making up that opportunistic context for the semester’s future-oriented and encyclopedic urban design endeavors. create holistic visions that allow for possibilities of imagining the future of the neighborhood in the year 2050.

“Urban development should be guided by a sustainable planning and management vision that promotes interconnected green space, a multi-modal green house system, and mixed-use development. Diverse public and private partnerships should be used to create sustainable and livable communities that protect historic, cultural, and environmental resources. In addition, policymakers, regulators and developers should support sustainable site planning and construction techniques that reduce pollution and create a balance between built and natural systems.“

With a production area of just 538 square feet, the Impact Farm can easily squeeze into tight, urban spaces. The flatpack design allows the unit to be shipped virtually anywhere so it can be used for both commercial and community needs. The Impact Farm is capable of growing greens (and microgreens), vegetables, herbs, and fruiting plants in its two-story frame. The produce is grown hydroponically, which makes city farming a breeze.
