Dr. Michael Jaggi received the Clement A. Alfred Humanitarian Award at the Community Foundation of Greater Flint’s The Art of Philanthropy: A Celebration of Time, Talent & Treasure held on September, 28, 2022. The award is presented each year to a Flint-area health professionals who demonstrates a commitment to professionalism, integrity, and humanitarian goals.

F. Michael Jaggi, D.O.

Dr. Michael Jaggi, Chief Medical Officer at Hurley Medical Center, is the recipient of the 2022 Clement A. Alfred Humanitarian Award. A committee of former Alfred Award recipients made the selection.

Dr. Jaggi, an internist and emergency medicine physician, has served in many professional capacities at both Hurley Medical Center and the University of Michigan. He served as a member of the board of directors of the Genesee County Free Medical Clinic for many years. Since its inception, Dr. Jaggi has also volunteered as a primary care physician, serving patients seeking care.

In his role as Chief Medical Officer during the COVID-19 crisis, Dr. Jaggi led senior leadership, staff, and the medical staff through broad, inclusive, and effective communications. He played a critical role in maintaining access to care, for everyone, during the pandemic. Dr. Jaggi has also been involved with the Hurley Foundation, raising funds for critical services.

Deserving of this recognition for his selfless contributions, Dr. Jaggi has worked quietly behind the scenes for years, significantly contributing his time and effort into humanitarian causes. Congratulations, Dr. Jaggi, on this well-deserved honor!
