The American Red Cross is facing a national blood crisis - it's the worst shortage in over a decade, posing a concerning risk to patient care.

There is no deferral time for eligible blood donors who are vaccinated with an inactivated or RNA based COVID-19 vaccine manufactured by AstraZeneca, Janssen/J&J, Moderna, Novavax, or Pfizer.

Eligible blood donors who received a live attenuated COVID-19 vaccine or do not know what type of COVID-19 vaccine they received must wait two weeks before giving blood.

Fun Times at the Speedway Miracle Tournament

Our 2022 Children's Miracle Network Hospitals champion, Charlie, had a blast representing Hurley Children's Hospital at the Speedway Miracle Tournament in Dayton, OH. She made friends from across the country, including Rankin Gasaway, Executive Vice President of 7-Eleven brands, and celebrity performer and CMN co-founder, Marie Osmond.
