Emerging Athlete Program For Students in Year 7-12 www.hvgs.nsw.edu.au

Emerging Athlete Program Preparing athletes for what comes next. The Emerging Athlete Program supports students to develop as athletes while building the habits, mindset and confidence that will carry them well beyond school sport. Every athlete develops differently. That’s why the EAP takes a long-term approach, providing structured Strength and Conditioning, athlete education and ongoing support tailored to each student’s stage of growth, experience and sporting goals. There are no shortcuts to meaningful progress. Through consistent training, students learn to work with purpose, respond to challenges and take greater ownership of their development.

Built for long-term development The program progressively develops the strength, power, speed, conditioning and movement skills that underpin athletic performance, while supporting students to manage the demands of training, competition and school. Just as importantly, students are expected to bring the behaviours that allow that development to happen: organisation, respect, accountability, coachability and a willingness to keep improving.

More than sport... The EAP is about preparing students for their next chapter - whether that means progressing further in their sport, pursuing an elite pathway beyond school, or simply becoming a stronger and more capable version of themselves.
