ABOUT US
WHO WE ARE Houston Safari Club Foundation (HSCF) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization whose mission is to preserve the sport of hunting through education, conservation, and the promotion of our hunting heritage. HSCF proudly provides one of the largest scholarship programs of its kind. Annually, HSCF provides twenty-five (25) scholarships in the amount of $6,000.00 each. To date, 625 scholarships have been awarded, totaling $2.8 million dollars. We annually host 200 area high school students for a day of career introductions to outdoor-related professions, at our annual convention. In addition, we host almost 100 students for hunting and

fishing experiences each year. HSCF has provided over $4 million in grants to support conservation, anti-poaching, hunters’ rights,

youth education, hunter education and more. Our members come from a diverse background and have a wide variety of hunting, fishing, outdoor and other interests. They have a passion for the outdoors, a love of hunting, a commitment to the responsible management of our national resources, the education of future generations and the responsibilities of being hunter conservationists.

When bidding from the floor, raise your hand high or bid paddle and, if necessary, stand to get the attention of the auctioneer or one of his spotters. The auctioneer and his staff are responsible for the auction. Their rules must be followed explicitly. All decisions of the auctioneer will be final. Auctioneer and staff will decide any disputes regarding the bids during the live auction. Asking questions ahead of time is encouraged. Speak with the donor if possible and check their references. HSCF supports and promotes hunts and trips from donors who are members in good standing with their local and national hunting associations. Some items, as components of donated hunts, may or may not be included unless specified. This may pertain to travel expenses to and from destination; hotel and meals before and after the hunt; alcoholic beverages; trophy dipping, packaging and shipping; gratuities and other items. Please review the details for each auction item. Most hunt donations, unless otherwise specified, are for the 2022 or 2023 season. Special arrangements other than as set forth in the auction description are expressly between the donor and the auction winner. Some non-hunt donations may require delivery and installation at your expense. It is the bidder’s responsibility to read the HSCF Disclaimer of Liability for Goods & Services. By bidding on any auction item, whether in person or online, the bidder agrees that they have read, understand and agree to the HSCF Disclaimer of Liability.
Payment Terms Method of Payment: Cash, Check, or Credit Card (MasterCard, Visa, American Express or Discover) All hunts must be paid in full prior to being taken. All merchandise must be paid in full prior to taking possession. Any firearms that may be included in auctions or contests are subject to all state and federal laws. Transactions for these items will be managed by an approved FFL provider. The FFL provider information will be provided to the winning bidder for completion of transfer. Winners are responsible for all costs of shipping and FFL transfer fees.

Original White-Tailed Deer Bronze
An original bronze sculpture from Ron Sweeten featuring a majestic White-tailed buck in motion. The sculpture dimensions are 2" H x 15" W. The works of Artist Ron Sweeten have spanned for nearly four decades. Originally a taxidermist, he learned his anatomy skill hands on. His sculpting skills started by modeling animals, birds, and fish for the taxidermy trade. Also a keen interest in wildlife photography deepened his understanding of the subjects that he portrayed in his art. Unlike many sculptors, Ron has total control of his bronzes by casting all of his works in his own foundry. From clay models, to the rubber molds, and the pouring of the molten metal, he is able to control all aspects of his sculptures. As an avid hunter he has traveled the game fields of the world from Alaska to Africa to study animals in their natural habitats. HSCF thanks Ron Sweeten for this 100% donation.
