35 YEARS OF PARTNERSHIP

A LETTER FROM THE FAMILY

This year marks a very special milestone, the 35th anniversary of Hunt Brothers® Pizza. As we celebrate this moment, we want to express our deepest gratitude to you, our valued partners. Your hard work and dedication have played an instrumental role in our success, and we would not be where we are today without you.

Since 1991, Hunt Brothers Pizza has grown into the largest branded pizza program in the c-store industry. Designed for c-stores and driven by faith and family values, we are still family-owned today, and our mission of being a blessing remains the same.

Over the past 35 years, your partnership has helped shape not only our brand, but also the communities you serve. Because of you, Hunt Brothers Pizza has become something truly extraordinary.

From our family to yours, thank you for 35 incredible years of partnership. We are proud of what we’ve accomplished together and excited for what the future holds. Here’s to many more years of pizza, partnership, and blessings ahead.

Thank you for being such an important part of our journey. May God bless you, your families, your employees, and your business.

THE HUNT BROTHERS LEGACY

Thirty-five years ago, four brothers turned their lifelong food industry experience into a family business that would eventually grow to more than 11,000 locations across 33 states. Hunt Brothers® Pizza was founded by Don, Lonnie, Jim and Charlie in 1991, with one simple goal to be a blessing to store partners. Some of you may remember the brothers, implementing the program into your stores, delivering pizza with a smile and treating you like family.

Their foodservice experience began in the early 1950s at their father’s restaurant, Austin’s Drive-In, in Evansville, Indiana. The brothers worked various roles and when their father passed away at the young age of 46, they took over the management of Austin’s Drive-In to support their family. The brothers worked seven days a week, teaching them the value of hard work and the principles of building a successful business.

Their journey in the pizza business began in 1962, with Don Hunt selling pizzas out of the back of his Rambler station wagon. Over the next few years, his three brothers joined him in opening up Pepe’s Pizza in new cities. At its peak, Pepe’s Pizza had route sales in 36 cities, selling wholesale pizza products and complementary items. As the years went on, the brothers learned many business lessons. That company was sold in 1982, and when the brothers got back together to form Hunt Brothers Pizza in 1991, their first priority was to treat people right, so they created Our Guiding Principles:

Place God first in all we do, Be a blessing to people, Trust God to meet our needs, Strive for excellence.

Hunt Brothers Pizza remains family-owned today, with the 2nd and 3rd generations of the Hunt family continuing the mission of being a blessing to you, our valued store partners. We stay committed to offering top-quality ingredients and exceptional flavor that far exceeds expectations. Hunt Brothers Pizza has built a lasting legacy in the convenience store industry, growing into the largest branded pizza program in the nation because of you.

“Plant seeds of blessings for others. If you plant a tomato seed, you are going to receive a harvest of tomatoes, not bananas.”

and Don

“When you turn outward, the blessings come abundantly, but if you turn inward, the blessings dry up quickly. As we trust God’s love for our needs, and turn outward to be a blessing to others, God begins to bless us in a way far greater than we could ever imagine or believe.”

STORES SERVING UP SUCCESS BACKED

BY A NATIONAL BRAND

Baxter Stegall

Operator of Stegall Petroleum

Tucked just outside of Charlotte, North Carolina, Polk Mountain Market stands as a testament to generations of hard work and family dedication. Owned and operated by the Stegall family since 1975, the business was built on a foundation that still holds strong today. Baxter Stegall’s grandfather, who founded the company, is now 95 years old and continues to show up to work every day. As a fourth-generation operator, Baxter shared how both Hunt Brothers® Pizza and his family’s company are rooted in family leadership and long-term commitment. He shared, “Hunt Brothers Pizza is a company run by family, with multiple generations in the business. When you’ve got two generational families running businesses in this industry, that’s longevity.” The partnership with Hunt Brothers Pizza has become an important driver of growth within Polk Mountain Market’s foodservice program. “Something I hear all the time is it’s not just good gas station pizza, it’s good pizza,” Baxter added. Beyond profitability, the relationship has been defined by reliability and accessibility. Baxter emphasized,

Maddie Whitehead

“If I need something, I can call them and they’ll get me exactly what I need.” For Baxter, that level of connection sets the partnership apart from others in the industry. He shared, “I don’t know my soft drink guy, or who my chip guy is, but I can tell you who my Hunt Brothers Pizza people are. They feel more like a family and less like a vendor.” Today, Polk Mountain Market continues to build on its decades-long legacy, with Hunt Brothers Pizza playing a meaningful role in its ongoing success and proving that strong partnerships, much like family businesses, are built to last.

Director of Foodservice for U-Stop Convenience Stores

As a third-generation leader in her family’s business, Maddie Whitehead has spent the past two years overseeing operations for U-Stop Convenience Stores across Kansas and Nebraska. Nearly a decade ago, U-Stop acquired 11 locations that already featured the Hunt Brothers Pizza program, an addition Maddie says quickly proved to be both operationally seamless and highly pro fi table. Since the pizzas arrive pre-sauced and pre-cheesed, store teams can focus on execution without added complexity. As she explains, “All you need to do is add the toppings and send it through the oven, and it still produces a very high-quality product that our customers love.” She also noted that the Hunt Brothers Pizza team made onboarding smooth from the start by equipping stores with everything needed and investing time in proper training. This support ensured each location could confidently deliver a consistent, successful program from day one. From a customer perspective, the program has also played a meaningful role in driving incremental sales. Many guests stop in for a

Hunk A Pizza® and end up adding beverages like soda or coffee, along with other foodservice items. Maddie also emphasized that both her team and their customers appreciate the consistency the program delivers. “The simplicity and the ease of the program just make a world of difference for our associates and our customers,” she said. Today, U-Stop’s hot food program continues to perform strongly, with Hunt Brothers Pizza serving as a key contributor to that success.

For more than nine years, Paulo Bruxelas has built his business around community, consistency, and strong partnerships. As the owner of North Fork One Stop and the first Hunt Brothers® Pizza location in Nebraska, Paulo has seen firsthand how the right partnership can shape long-term success. Located in Humboldt, a community with limited hot foodservice options, North Fork One Stop plays a vital role beyond just convenience. Paulo takes pride in serving not just customers, but people he knows personally. He expressed, “In our community, we are not just serving a customer, they are our neighbors, our relatives, our friends and it’s very important to us.” From the beginning, Paulo has viewed Hunt Brothers Pizza as more than a vendor, but as a true partner in his business. He explained, “Our relationship with Hunt Brothers Pizza is based on partnership, they are our partners and they want us to be successful.” Over the years, the program has become central to his daily operations. Paulo shared, “The support from the Hunt Brothers Pizza team has been remarkable.” He credits both the quality of the product and the excitement around new limited time

offerings for keeping customers engaged. He said, “The customers love the quality of the pizza and love the limited time offer pizzas as well.” He also emphasized the strength of the brand itself, adding, “The brand recognition of Hunt Brothers Pizza is great, our customers recognize the brand and keep coming back.” As the partnership has grown, Paulo notes that its simplicity and reliability have made it easy to sustain over time. Today, Paulo sees the impact of the program not just in sales, but in his ability to continue serving his community. He shared that being a Hunt Brothers Pizza partner is important not only for his business, but for the community who relies on it.

Casey Comfort and Jon Walker Director of Operations and Director of Foodservice for Fleetway Markets

Fleetway Petroleum, also known as Fleetway Markets, is a third-generation, family-owned company that began in 1992 in Jackson, Mississippi. We spoke with Casey Comfort, Director of Operations, and Jon Walker, Director of Foodservice, about their partnership with Hunt Brothers Pizza. Casey shared, “18 of our stores have Hunt Brothers Pizza, they have been a strong partner for years and we’ve seen year over year growth.” He also emphasized the alignment between the two companies, noting, “When two companies with aligned values work together, great things happen.” From an operational standpoint, Jon highlighted the impact of the partnership, explaining, “With the Hunt Brothers Pizza team being available for training, it’s helped tighten operations and maintain profit margins. The revenue Hunt Brothers Pizza brings in is consistent and beneficial for us.” He also pointed out the brand recognition, saying, “When locations are on the interstate with your program, customers recognize and know what they’re going to get.” Casey added that the program fit seamlessly into their existing operations: “With a very

low up-front cost, the return on your investment is great; Hunt Brothers Pizza makes up about 30% of our total foodservice sales,” he said. While Casey and Jon serve in different roles at Fleetway Markets, they both agree that the Hunt Brothers Pizza program is simple to implement and highly beneficial. Jon summed it up best: “The best part is our relationship with our account manager. They are able to rotate inventory, and they really look out for us.” He concluded, “With the minimal start-up cost, no franchise fees and it’s a great product, they have great customer service, you’d be foolish to put in any other pizza program.”

EXPERIENCE

COUNT ON A COMPANY YOU CAN TRUST

Thirty-five years of Hunt Brothers® Pizza has produced many memorable stories from our dedicated team members who support your stores across the country.

“The first week I started, I was being trained on the route and customers were surprised about how committed we were to servicing their stores. We were unaware there was a huge storm right behind us, that turned out to be a tornado that touched down in Nashville, in April of 1998! Nothing can stop a Hunt Brothers Pizza Account Manager!”

- Bruce, 28 Years of Service

“We had a customer in Louisiana who ran out of pizza on Christmas Day. Everyone was having their family celebrations, but we had already had our Christmas dinner, so we drove 15 miles to the warehouse to meet the customer. They got their pizza and everyone was happy!”

- Evelyn, 27 Years of Service

“Some of these partnerships have lasted long enough that I’ve watched their kids grow up. When I moved into a new role, many of those store partners sent me off with a handshake or even a hug. That’s when you realize it’s more than just business, it’s a genuine relationship.”

- Mike, 29 Years of Service

These stories are shared to reflect what Hunt Brothers Pizza believes in and puts into action every day. They represent Don, Lonnie, Jim and Charlie’s foundation of Hunt Brothers Pizza, to be a blessing to their families and their store partners. And we’ll continue to be a blessing to you for the next 35 years and beyond.
